Author's Notes: TBC.More to come tomorrow, and it'll be good too! I promise. I need something to make up for this chapter. Anyway thanks for reading. Having a story on here with a five coffee cup rating is better than any letter grade on a stupid piece of paper.

"So did you have a chance to tell Blaine?" Burt asked his son Saturday morning as they sat watching the four am news. Kurt had been woken up by the baby too many times to count in an endless cycle of peeing, getting sick, drinking water to wash out the throw up taste, having to pee, getting up, throwing up, and doing it all over again. So he decided to stay awake and watch some television. Even as he kept the volume low, Burt still woke up and decided now would be the perfect time for some one on one father and son bonding at four in the morning.

"I actually did." Kurt smiled turning the volume down further. "He took it amazingly well, which surprised me." Kurt said softly.

"Surprised? That kid fucking worships the ground you walk on, of course he's gonna be over the moon at the fact you're have a baby together." Burt laughed.

"I wouldn't say he worships the ground I walk on, he barely even liked me this morning." Kurt laughed.

"Well of course he did, buckaroo liked you so much he was probably just too afraid of you leaving again that he figured he'd just push you away, over exaggerate a crush he had on someone else, having nowhere else to place his love, and telling you he'd moved on so you'd be the one realizing you need him" Burt guessed and Kurt was amazed at how accurate that was.

"Don't be surprised, we talk all the time. I think Carole and I see him more than his parents do, he's always over here. And don't give me that look; it's not because of Sam. It's because he knows we share a common interest, our love for you. Kiddo comes over all the time when he misses you or when he needs advice. Just the other day I told him that you don't ever tell someone you like them because it makes you look stupid, which is probably why he was denying his undying love for you." Burt laughed and Kurt smiled.

"Oh my god, you are the reason he was such a dick the other day!" Kurt laughed.

"Wow there mister college guy, you're under my roof again and I don't tolerate that kind of language." Burt said sternly. "He was a major dick at dinner." Burt added and Kurt covered his mouth laughing.

"I'm just so glad he came over for dinner, I really didn't expect him to, and I mean he told me he wasn't going to." Kurt explained.

"You're welcome." Burt said patting Kurt's shoulder and Kurt was absolutely bewildered.

"What? You? What?" Kurt asked clearly at a loss for words.

"I still got some tricks up my sleeve, and I knew my son needed his man, so I texted him." Burt replied.

"You can text?" Kurt laughed.

"Uh yeah, Blaine taught me, which is why he's my favorite son." Burt answered and Kurt pouted.

"But I thought I was your favorite." Kurt said and Burt laughed.

"Hmm I'm gonna have to downgrade you because you got knocked up before you were married. Come to think of it Blaine gets downgraded too because he knocked up someone's son." Burt teased and Kurt laughed.

"So is Finn your favorite?" Kurt said teasingly.

"Nah, he breaks too many things in the house. I'm going to have to go with Sam. Although Sam does always leave his chap stick in his pockets and they always fuck everything up in the wash. I think he's my least favorite, ruined one of my best shirts. God now I sound like you." Burt replied and Kurt laughed.

"So you don't like any of your kids?" Kurt teased.

"Hmm none of the sons for sure, not Rachel, she's too loud. I love Santana though, she's funny and nice to me, plus she knows how to put everyone in their place. But she is kind of vulgar. Actually come to think of it, you're right I don't like any of my kids. But you know who I will like? I will love my grandbaby." Burt explained and Kurt laughed.

"Awwh and your grandchild with love you." Kurt smiled and Burt hugged him.

"I love you son."

"I love you too dad."

"Mmm what's cookin' good lookin'?" Santana asked slapping Kurt's ass as she walked into the kitchen where he stood at the stove fixing pancakes, bacon, and scrambled eggs.

"No sexual harassment in the kitchen or no food for you." Kurt laughed and Santana kissed his cheek taking a cooked piece of bacon of the plate and going to sit with Burt at the kitchen table.

"Morning." She greeted giving him a hug and offering him half of her bacon slice, which he took gratefully.

"Good morning Santana, how'd you sleep last night?" He asked discretely chewing his bacon so Kurt wouldn't yell at him for being unhealthy.

"I thought sharing a bed with Kurt would be better than sleeping on the floor, I thought maybe I'd have a cuddle buddy, and he smells enough like a girl for sleeping me not to be bothered. But no he was up all night running back and forth to the bathroom retching and vomiting, boy kept me awake all night. If he hadn't gotten up at four I was about to." Santana complained.

"San, I'm so sorry. I was trying to be as quiet as possible." Kurt apologized.

"Breakfast better be fucking scrumptious or I'll never forgive you." Santana teased and Burt laughed at their interaction.

"Is Rachel still asleep in the room?" Kurt asked.

"Yeah I figured it's only seven I'll be nice and let her sleep." Santana explained with a gesture of you're welcome.

"That was kind of you." Kurt teased.

"Shut it Porcelain." Santana scolded standing up to snatch another piece of bacon.

"Wait till the others come down." Kurt chided and she laughed taking her stripe anyway.

"It's supposed to be really nice outside today." Commenting on what he had heard on the news earlier this morning.

"We should go for a walk or something." Santana suggested and Kurt smiled.

"That sounds good; we could walk to the Lima Bean grab a drink and go for a walk in the park, and maybe sit down at a bench and just chat or something like we used to do after school." Kurt suggested and Santana agreed.

"Carole gave me one of her nursing books on pregnancies and I found out I can have a cup of decaf a day, and I need my coffee fix, decaf or not." Kurt laughed and Santana teased him about his coffee addiction as Sam descended the stairs. He was originally going to sleep on the sofa in the living room but he crashed on the floor with Finn as they completed their Call of Duty tournament.

"Morning guys!" Sam greeted in a chipper tone. "Mmm Kurt food smells yummy." He complimented as he pulled his chair out to sit down.

Eventually Finn, Rachel, and Carole woke up, joining the others at the kitchen table, Kurt, Santana, and Sam seated at the breakfast nook as Rachel chatted animatedly with Burt and Carole at the table, Finn sitting on top of the kitchen counter after breaking a kitchen chair and not wanting to grab one from the dining room.

"Finn I don't appreciate your ass on the surface in which we prepare meals." Kurt teased and the group laughed.

"Do we need to discuss what I walked in on with you and Blaine in this very room when I got home from a date with Rachel early one night where mom and dad were away last year?" Finn threated and Kurt practically choked on his bite of chocolate chip pancake.

"Oh boys, it's good to have you both back." Carole smiled at their ridiculous banter.

After breakfast Finn and Rachel washed dishes and Kurt and Santana started their walk.

"So I don't wanna overwhelm you, but there's a lot we have to talk about and you know it, so do you want me to come out with it, or dance around the subject like you and your sexuality sophomore year?" Santana asked and Kurt laughed.

"You were in the closet for longer than me, that expression isn't even fair." Kurt laughed.

"Yeah but at least I was getting laid." Santana teased.

"True, just come out with it I suppose, you are known for your brutal honesty, no point in stopping that now." Kurt laughed and Santana grabbed his hand holding it in hers as they walked. There was one thing Kurt knew about Santana that most others didn't; she really did enjoy contact and interaction. Typically she'd laugh it off and say she's just seductive and a temptress, but really she liked knowing people cared, and the best way to know that was to be embraced by them either through hugs or shoulder brushes as you walked side by side, or even the simplest form of human contact, holding hands.

"Are you going to marry Blaine?" Santana asked.

"I don't think he'll want to marry me." Kurt shrugged.

"I'll ask it this way; do you want to marry Blaine?" She asked and Kurt didn't even have to think.

"Yes, of course. I'm in love with him Santana; I need him in my life. I lost him before and if that were to ever happen again it would honestly be the end of me." Kurt explained and Santana nodded.

"Good, that's all I wanted to know." Santana said giving his hand a squeeze reminding him everything's going to be okay.

"Next questions for you." Kurt smiled and Santana rolled her eyes. "What are your plans for you and Brittany?" He asked.

"I just love her so much Kurt. Hell I broke up with her because another girl looked at me, yeah I'm hot shit and all but I could never ever hurt her. I felt so guilty that I had to break up with her. It's like AVPSY when Lavender kisses Ron and he's like 'oh no I cheated' I just feel bad for not being able to be there for her. Maybe Sam is good for her. But I just love her so much. I need her. But I need her to be happy." Santana said sadly.

"I know what you mean. I just want Blaine to be happy." Kurt replied letting go of Santana's hand and wrapping his arm around her waist pulling her closer as they walked, almost to the Lima Bean.

"For what it means, I think Brittany would be happy. She loves you, and the two of you were made for each other." Kurt reminded her and Santana sniffled.

"Blaine's happy with you too." Santana added.

"I hope so." Kurt sighed, his free hand pressed to his bump.

"Hey Kurt?" Santana asked and he stopped walking to look at her.

"I may not say this as much as I should, but your my best friend, and I really do love you." Santana spoke softly, turning so she was facing Kurt placing both of her hands on his hips and pulling him closer. "You're my best friend, and I'll always be here for you. I love you Porcelain." She smiled and leaned in close to kiss him on the lips, a soft and chaste kiss that friends share. Not one of desire or a sexual advance, just one that captured the intimate moment shared between the friends.

"I love you too Santana, you're my best friend and I'm so glad I have you. I couldn't do this without you. I owe you so much, I probably never told you this but you were my hero in high school. You didn't let anyone bring you down, you stood your ground, and kicked ass. You're fierce, girl. And I love you." Kurt smiled hugging her tightly.

"Best friends forever." Santana smiled linking their pinkies together as they walked across the parking lot they had barely noticed they were standing in.
