It was the weekend before school started and Blaine was sitting in his room nervously making sure he had everything he needed when he was interrupted by a light tap on the door.
“Hey Rach, come in.” Blaine said stuffing notebooks into his messenger bag.
“Hey I just wanted to let you know I’m going over a friend’s house. Mom and dad are out of town and I’m not sure if I’m going to be home tonight.” She explained. “Oh he goes to McKinley; you’re welcome to come along if you want. This way you’ll at least know two people come Monday.” Rachel smiled.
“I don’t want to intrude on you and your group of friends.” Blaine sighed.
“Oh Blainers it’s no problem at all.” She said walking around the room picking up clothes and throwing them haphazardly into her bag. “Come on you’re all packed. Let’s go.” She smiled.
“Won’t he care that I’m spending the night and he doesn’t even know me? And wait him? His parents are cool with you spending the night? And wait! Hold up! It’s not Finn? Rachel you’re sleeping over some guy’s house who’s not even Finn?” Blaine asked all at once confused.
“Calm down, he doesn’t live with his parents. And secondly he’s my best friend and Finn’s step-brother. He, Mercedes, and I always have sleepovers.” Rachel said like it was the simplest thing in the world.
“He doesn’t live with his parents? Rachel how old is this guy?” Blaine laughed.
“Our age. Now come on I told him I’d be right over.” Rachel giggled pulling Blaine down the stairs.
The drive over to said best friend’s house was increasingly awkward and Rachel refused to answer any of Blaine’s questions.
“Here I’m driving, can you text Kurt telling him that my baby brother and me are on the way over.” Rachel asked handing Blaine her phone.
Blaine laughed at the nickname and did as he was told. Even though Rachel was all of five minutes older she was still bossy as anything.
“Okay we’re here!” Rachel announced pulling into a sketchy parking lot behind a rundown motel.
“Wait what?” Blaine asked as Rachel bolted out of the car and pulled him up the fire escape and in through the window on the top floor.
“Kurt! We’re here! Did you miss me?!?” Rachel yelled loudly into the single room.
“Hey Rach! Yes I missed you! I’ve barely seen you all summer!” A beautifully high yet at the same time masculine and sexy voice rang out across the room.
Blaine turned his gaze to see the most beautiful guy he had ever seen. He had thick chestnut brow hair that was styled to perfection, soft pale skin, a slender frame, mile long legs, and a mighty fine ass.
He watched said boy envelop his sister in a hug as she kissed his cheek and talked loudly.
“Awwh and you must be Blaine!” The beautiful boy smiled and pulled me into a hug. And damn if I didn’t feel the electricity between us as he held me there in his strong arms.
“Kurt, this is my brother Blaine. Blaine this is my best friend Kurt.” Rachel introduced.
“It’s a pleasure to meet you.” Kurt said extending his hand and giving a dazzling smile.
Blaine just stood there speechlessly. He shook Kurt’s hand and continued to stare into those beautiful eyes. What color where they? They were a stormy gray-blue with specs of green? They were beautiful. Completely stunning just like him.
Blaine hadn’t realized how long he had been starring before he noticed Kurt’s lips moving, oh his lips. Blaine wondered what those lips would taste like. They were so pink and full.
“Are you sure he’s related to you Rach? He’s too quite to be in any relation to you. I like him already.” Kurt laughed nudging Rachel.
“Blaine! Don’t be rude. And close your mouth, you’ll catch flies.” Rachel laughed.
Rachel and Kurt made themselves comfy snuggling on the air mattress on the floor, which Blaine noticed was about the only piece of furniture in the empty room.
The room was sad, yet homey. If that’s possible.
The air mattress was against the wall in the corner next to the window and fire escape. A mini-fridge sat in the other corner of the room next to a tiny end table and two fold out chairs. By the door sat a metal baseball bat probably for safety reasons. On the other side was an open door that led to a tiny bathroom. A tiny box of clothes sitting next to the door.
Although the room was sad and empty it appeared to be well decorated and filled with pictures and candles.
These decorations made the tiny room look like a home. But one look outside the window told you otherwise. Right out there you could see the corrupted streets of Lima Heights Adjacent and you were brought back to the harsh reality that this sixteen year old was living by himself in this crummy motel in the scariest part of town.
Kurt and Rachel noticed Blaine’s examination of the small room Kurt called home, and it made Kurt nervous.
“Want me to give you a tour of the place.” Kurt said coldly and Rachel laughed.
“I’m sorry I didn’t mean to be starring I was just looking and I was confused. Why do you live here alone? Rachel said you were Finn’s stepbrother. I’ve been to Finn’s house before I met his mom I met his stepdad, why don’t you live with them?” Blaine asked.
Sensing Kurt’s uneasiness Rachel wrapped her arms around the boy to comfort him.
Memories flooded Kurt’s mind.
“Dad, I can’t lie to you anymore. Being on the football team and being a part of Glee Club has made me realize I can be anything. And what I am is. I’m gay.” He said softly.
“I know Kurt, I’ve known for awhile. Thank you for being honest with me.” His dad said enveloping him in a hug.
“Kurt?” His dad asked hesitantly.
“Yes dad?” Kurt answered.
“You need to leave.” He responded coldly.
“What?” Kurt laughed nervously in disbelief.
“You are not my son and I don’t want you here. You have an hour to pack your things. I don’t care where you go or where you end up but I no longer want to see you again. I can’t believe you would disappoint me like this. Now get out!” His dad said bitterly.
And that was the last time he had ever seen his dad, which is how he ended up here. That’s how he ended up working two jobs along with attending school and maintaining a 4.0 GPA. It was hard, but he made it work.
He didn’t need anyone. He had his friends and he had glee club. He’d work super hard and get into an amazing college and leave his past behind him. He was not willing to let this hold him back. No one was standing in his way of making it out of this town.
Yet here Rachel’s brother was, standing here making assumptions and judging him. He didn’t feel the need to enlighten him on his situation; surely Rachel would do so later. He didn’t need this. He didn’t need an outsider coming into his home and judging him.
Yet for some reason he felt drawn to the boy standing before him. The way his hazel eyes met his, he knew he couldn’t stay mad at the boy.
One look into those eyes told him that Blaine understood.

Awwww Kurtie is in the same situation :/ When blaine told his family he was gay and Rachel was being there for him she didn't tell him she had a friend that was in the same situation and probably had it worse? But I am glad they finally got to meet and can hopefully be there for each other. I love your writing and this idea for this story. I have never hated Burt before but I do now in this story. And of course I love Cooper and Rachel.
Well they have each other now! Thank you so much! Thanks for reading and all your lovely reviews!
