Author's Notes: Warnings discusses self harm and eating disorders. Some language.

After Blaine left Kurt found himself feeling upset, but he knew he’d get over it.

Sure he already missed Blaine, but he promised him that he would fight this.

He wouldn’t let his depression win. He wasn’t going to let this bring him down.

He missed Blaine very much, but he knew he could handle it. He needed to handle it. If he could handle it things would get easier and soon enough he’d be released and with Blaine.

For that to happen he needed to get better, and he was deadest on getting better.

“So Kurt.” Doctor Sandra began as he took a seat at his normal afternoon therapy session with her. “I hear you haven’t been eating. Care to tell me why?” She continued.

“Who told you I haven’t been eating?” He asked confused.

“Kurt we all really care about you and we want you to get better.” She said clearly deflecting his question.

“I don’t know why I haven’t been eating. I’ve been working so hard on not cutting and I’ve been handling my depression so much better.” He replied.

“I know, and we’re proud of your progress thus far. But your eating disorder, you haven’t been making any progress.” She stated.

“I just don’t want to eat. I want to be skinny.” He sighed.

“Kurt you are skinny. You are unhealthily skinny. You’re underweight and it’s a wonder how you are still alive without the food intake. I know that you struggle with body dismorphic disorder. But you will never get better if you don’t accept the fact that your body needs the nutrients you are depriving it of.” She replied.

“I want to get better.” He said softly.

“I want you to too Kurt. She smiled sadly. “From now on you will have your meals with Doctor Andrews and Doctor Jessica where they can monitor your food intake. Understood?” She said.

“I understand.” He sighed. “I really do want to get better.” He added.

“I know you do.” She smiled. “Have a nice day Kurt.” She said as the alarm went off ending their hour long therapy session.

“You too Doctor Sandra, I’ll see you tomorrow.” He said softly as he left the room.

After therapy Kurt went for a run, not to cool off. Nothing had really upset him, he just wanted some alone time to think.

After this is was almost 7:30 so he made his way down to Doctor Andrews’ office so they could get dinner together.

Kurt sat down in between Doctor Andrews and Doctor Jessica and tried to eat his salad as they made small talk.

Although Kurt had only managed to nibble on a couple pieces of lettuce they were proud of him.

“I guess its progress.” He shrugged to himself.

After dinner, if you could call it that, Kurt made his way down the hallway so he could go up to his room.

“Hey Kurt! What are you doing?” Holden asked when he spotted Kurt in the hallway.

“About to go back to the room.” Kurt shrugged.

“Okay, I’ll join you.” Holden smiled.

The two walked in a comfortable silence down the hall and to their shared room.

Holden tried to ignore the smell of sex and the ruffled and cum stained sheets tangled haphazardly around the foot of Kurt’s bed as they entered the room. Trying not to think about the actions the boy he’s falling for and his boyfriend just did.

“Do you mind if I call Blaine?” Kurt asked politely.

“Not at all, go right ahead.” Holden tried to smile.

“Mind if I put it on speaker so I can clean while he talks to me?” Kurt asked again.

“No problem.” Holden shrugged.

“Thanks Holden.” Kurt smiled.

And oh Kurt’s smile just made Holden’s heart flutter, but he knew it was wrong, and turned away ashamed.

“Hey Kurt! What’s up?” Blaine’s beautiful voice filled the room.

“Hey baby! Not much just cleaning up the mess you made.” Kurt teased as he tried to wash the stained section of sheet in the bathroom sink.

“Fuck you.” Blaine laughed.

“I already did.” Kurt smiled wickedly.

“Hahaha ow. Don’t make me laugh. I’m still sore.” Blaine winced.

“Awwwh I’m sorry baby. Are you okay?” Kurt asked his voice full of concern and worry and love.

“I’m fine, it’s sore in a good way.” Blaine smiled.

“That’s good.” Kurt smiled softly.

“I miss you.” Blaine said quietly.

“I miss you too. So much. Our room smells just like you. Well it smells like sex. But mostly like you.” Kurt smiled fondly.

“I have a distinct smell? And it isn’t sex?” Blaine laughed.

“Yes you do. I’m not sure how to describe it. It’s just you.” Kurt smiled.

“You smell like vanilla and roses and sunshine.” Blaine beamed.

“How does one smell like sunshine?” Kurt laughed.

“You do. You smell amazing. Which is why I’m wearing your McKinley High School hoodie that I stole from you.” Blaine smiled.

“You stole that?” Kurt couldn’t help but laugh.

“I steal all your stuff that reminds me of you. You don’t know how many articles of clothing you left here that I’m just not giving back. I like the way they smell.” Blaine laughed.

“I find your fetish weird but adorable. Just like you.” Kurt smiled.

“I’m glad you like me. I don’t think your new friends do.” Blaine sighed.

“What do you mean? They loved you!” Kurt laughed.

“Yeah, Bethany and Kim did. But I don’t think Holden likes me. Did I do something wrong?” Blaine asked his voice full of worry.

“What are you talking about?” Kurt asked confused. He stopped making his disheveled bed and turned to look at Holden who was now staring at the phone like he saw a ghost.

“He didn’t even shake my hand when I introduced myself.” Blaine said sadly. “And it’s not just that, the entire day he just stared at me like I’m some awful person. Like he hated me or something. I don’t know why he would hate me. I mean did I do something? I mean if I did I’m really really sorry. I just don’t know. He seemed really nice and I thought we’d get along just fine but I just felt like the whole day he was like glaring daggers at me or something. I mean should I like apologize to him? I just don’t know what I did. I asked Wes and David about it, like if they noticed anything odd, or if they knew anything about it and they kind of just ignored my questions. Ugghh why do I need everyone to like me?” Blaine said holding back the tears that were threatening to fall.

“Hey Holden, do you have a problem with Blaine?” Kurt asked.

“Shit. Kurt, am I on speakerphone?” Blaine asked sounding worried.

“Yeah you are.” Kurt said softly. “So Holden, do you have a problem with Blaine?” Kurt asks again covering the phone with his hand.

“Um…no…” Holden shrugs.

“Okay, were you just being shy or something?” Kurt asks confused.

“Yeah that’s it.” Holden lies.

“Oh okay. Holden I’m so sorry. I’m really forward with everyone I meet. I’m sorry if I scared you or something. God I probably scared you off. I’m so sorry. I’m really really really sorry Holden.” Blaine’s voices echoes in the room.

“It’s fine.” Holden says carelessly getting up to go change in the bathroom.

“So does he hate me?” Blaine asks.

“Idk.” Kurt says simply.

“Oh God. No one has ever hated me before. I mean well there’s Cooper, but he doesn’t really hate me we just don’t really have the typical brotherly bond. Oh there’s my dad, but even he doesn’t hate me. Sure he thinks some of my ‘life choices’ are foolish but even he still tries to accept and understand me. So yeah no one has ever really hated me. Oh God what am I going to do? I can’t have someone hating me.” Blaine rambles over the phone.

“Blaine you are the most charming person I know, but you can’t win everyone.” Kurt says trying to be reasonable. “I love you. That’s all the matters.” Kurt tries to comfort him.

“Yeah love you too. But seriously why does he hate me? I’m a genuinely lovable person. How does he hate me?” Blaine whines.

“Oh cry me a river Anderson.” Kurt teases.

“This is the story of a girl. Who cried a river and drowned the whole world.” Blaine started sing.

“Oh god.” Kurt groans.

“And while she looks so sad in photographs I absolutely love her, when she smiles.” Blaine continued to sing.

“Really?” Kurt questions.

“And how many days in a year? She woke up with hope but she only found tears. And I can be so insincere. Making her promises never for real. As long as she stands there waiting wearing’ the holes in the soles of her shoes. How many days disappear? You look in the mirror, so how do you choose?”

“Your clothes never wear as well the next day and your hair never falls in quite the same way. But you never run out of things to say.”

“This is the story of a girl. Who cried a river and drowned the whole world. And while she looks so sad in photographs I absolutely love her, when she smiles.”

“How many lovers would stay? Just to put with this shit day after day! How did we wind up this way? Watching’ our mouths for the words that we say. As long as we stand here waiting’ wearing’ the clothes of the souls that we choose, How do we get there today? When we’re walking’ too far for the price of our shoes. Your clothes never wear as well the next day and your hair never falls in quite the same way. But you never run out of things to say.”

“This is the story of a girl. Who cried a river and drowned the whole world. And while she looks so sad in photographs I absolutely love her, when she smiles.” Blaine sings ending the song.

“You done?” Kurt laughs.

“Yes I think I’ve made my point.” Blaine smiles.

“You made the point that you’re a dork.” Kurt laughs fondly. “Well I was going to sing you a lovely song about how much you mean to me, but I’m almost out of time on my call. I guess I have to go now. I’ll talk to you tomorrow though.” Kurt says softly.

“I’m sorry love. Do you think you can talk to Holden for me tonight?” Blaine asked still deeply concerned.

“Sure thing and I’ll let you know what he says tomorrow. But for now I have to go. Good night Blaine. I love you.” Kurt smiled.

“Goodnight Kurt, I love you too. With all my heart. Seeing you today was amazing. You are the most beautiful person I have ever met, both inside and out. Don’t ever forget how special you are to me. I love you and I always will.” Blaine replied.

“Oh Blaine, you are amazing. You really know how to make my day. I’ll never forget that. I love you.” Kurt smiles.

“Goodnight my love.”

“Night babe.”
