Author's Notes: No warning. Just a few reminders... So remember this story takes place when Kurt returns to McKinley so that is why the relationships are the way they are...Haha Tina is always forgotten, it's so sad. I mean I love her to death, she is so pretty and an amazing singer. But even when I was trying to list all of the couples I completely forgot about her and Mike. I was sitting there for like ten minutes and I was like I can't help feeling like I forgot someone. *facepalm*Hahahaha anywayyyy enjoy!!!!

“SPY!!!” Rachel yelled as Blaine and Kurt entered the choir room hand in hand.

“What?” The both asked confused looking at each other and then rest of the room as well.

“Blaine Warbler, over here, is spying on us! It’s not fair! Mr. Schue make him leave!” she squealed.

Kurt laughed a little before leading Blaine to two open seats.

“Rach, I’m not here to spy. You guys beat us, remember? Our competition season is over? Why would I spy on you-” he started to explain.

“YOU WANNA STEAL OUR SETLIST FOR NATIONALS!” She cut him off yelling.

“Again. Rachel. We’re no longer competing against you. I’m not here to steal you’re set list.”

“Oh.” She said dumbly. “Then why are you here?” She asked confused.

“What I can’t come watch my amazingly talented boyfriend?” He replied.

Kurt only laughed at that and told Rachel not to worry about it.

“Okay.” Mr. Schuester said clapping his hands once before walking over to the dry erase board.

Mr. Schue scribbled some letters on the board and turned around to reveal it said “Putting emotion into songs”

“Okay guys, we really need to focus on really putting all of your emotions and feelings in the song. Really pouring it out, letting your emotions tell the story. It probably sounds really cheesy, but you need to just be over the top let everything you feel come out in the song, in the way you sing, in the way you move, just everything. Understand?” he explained.

The group nodded and immediately Rachel’s hand shot up.

“Yes Rachel?” He asked.

“I think I may be able to demonstrate. If you’ll all follow me to the auditorium please.” She said before she exited the room expecting everyone to follow her.

After a few moments of sitting there in silence Blaine leaned over and whispered to Kurt “Should we be following her?”

“Nah, she’s annoying. Let’s just see how long it takes for to realize no one cared and she turns back.” Santana barked.

“Santana.” Mr. Schue warned. “Come on let’s go to the auditorium.” He said dryly.

The group stood up to leave. Blaine being ever observant noticed almost everyone here had a significant other they were holding hands with as they walked out. Finn was with Quinn. Santana was with Sam. Brittany was with Artie. Puck with Lauren. Tina and Mike.  Mercedes walked ahead of the group talking to Mr. Schuester about some solo. And Kurt, Kurt walked by himself behind everyone else.

Blaine’s heart broke. Sure he was with Kurt, they were dating, but he was never in school with him. Was he always this lonely?

Well at least he won’t be for today. He walked over and linked his arm with Kurt’s and started up a conversation.

“Soooooo what are you going to sing with emotion?” Blaine asked cheerfully.

“I don’t know. Probably something sad.” He said sighing.

“Yeah you got that emotion down pretty well.” Blaine teased, poking his side, making Kurt smile.

“Or I don’t know. I’ll probably end up singing some cheesy love song about how head over heels in love with you I am.” Kurt said as he smiled a little.

“That’s what I would do if I were in your position.” Blain remarked.

“Mmm, help me think of song ideas?”

“Mmmmm maybe we could go make out and inspiration might strike.” Blaine teased.

“Or something else might strike, like a fist.” Kurt said sadly.

“I get it; you’re embarrassed to be seen with me.” Blaine said pretending to be hurt. He knew that wasn’t the reason at all, but if he could make Kurt smile it would be worth it.

Kurt laughed and pushed Blaine’s shoulder.

Success. Blaine thought.

Rachel was already up on stage. The students took their seats and waited for her to begin.

“Being the outstanding performer that I am, I might just be able to show you armatures a thing or two about putting emotion into performances.” She said pointing at Brad the piano man, who began to play on cue.

“I will not make The same mistakes that you did I will not let myself ‘Cause my hear so much misery”

She began her song staring directly and one very confused Finn Hudson.

“I will not break The way you did, you fell so hard I’ve learned the hard way To never let it get that far”

She continued as she walked across the stage flailing her arms in a dramatic way that only Rachel could.

She actually pointed a Finn with the next stanza and he looked even more confused than ever until Mercedes whispered what the song was in his ear as Rachel belted out-

“Because of you I never stray too far from the sidewalk Because of you I learned to play on the safe side so I don’t get hurt Because of you I find it hard to trust Not only me, but everyone around me Because of you I am afraid.”

She continued on with her song, eyes never leaving Finn’s. Tears threatening in her eyes every time she said the word “hurt” and she pointed both hands at herself when she said “I” and one hand at Finn when she said “Because of you.”

She sung her song well, clearly demonstrating the emotion behind the lyrics, but she might have driven her point a little too far because right now Quinn looked like she might kick her ass.

She wrapped up her song and turned away from the audience wiping any stray tears away before turning back around smirking saying “And that’s how it’s done.”

There was an awkward silence and then Mr. Schue sort of clapped before telling her she did well and to sit down.

“Okay, anyone else want to give it a try?” he asked after another moment of silence.

“I’ll go Mr. Schue.” Finn spoke up.

“Okay Finn, go ahead.”

Finn got up on to the stage and pointed to Quinn before starting.

“I don’t understand why, see it’s burning me to hold onto this, I know this something I gotta do, But that don’t mean I want to.”

Oh God, Finn was not singing this song to Quinn. Kurt tightened his grip on Blaine’s hand and Blaine looked up at him and shrugged as Kurt mouthed “is he really doing this?”

But Finn continued on with his song, really letting his emotions take control of the song. I mean clearly it was something very personal to him.

“What I’m trying to say is that I-love-you I just, I feel like this coming to an end. And it’s better for me to Let it go now than hold on and hurt you.”

At this point the whole glee club had realized what he was singing and Quinn was practically in tears.

“I gotta let it burn.”

Finn walked closer to the front of the stage, moving his arms with a passion as he sung out the verse.

“It’s gonna burn for me to say this But it’s comin from my heart. It’s been a long time coming but we da been fell apart. Really wanna work this out But I don’t think you’re gonna change. I do but you don’t think its best we go our separate ways.”

A tear slipped from Finn’s eye as he continued.

“Tell me why I should stay in this relationship when I’m hurting baby, I ain’t happy baby. Plus there’s so many other things I gotta deal with I think you should let it burn.

When the feeling ain’t the same and your body don’t want to But you know gotta let it go cuz the party ain’t jumpin’ like it used to. Even though this might bruise you. Let it burn. Let it burn. Gotta let it burn.”

Quinn stood up and stormed out and Finn stopped singing.

Surprisingly everyone clapped, rude yes, but everyone clapped all the same.

“Well Finn, I really think you got what this lesson was about, you were really able to use this song to express your emotions, and you did it so well. But, I think you need to go talk to Quinn.” Mr. Schue said sadly.

“Yeah, I know.” He mumbled before exiting.

“Usher. Hmm. Not bad for a white boy.” Mercedes told Finn as he exited to go find Quinn.

“Okay, anyone else want to give it ago?” Mr. Schue asked hesitantly. So far the exercise had been a success in getting the kids to sing with more emotion, but it was hurting the people they sang to…”

“I think I have the perfect song!” Santana said with a devilish smile.

“Okay, the stages all yours Santana.”Mr. Schue replied.

Kurt whispered to Blaine, “I wonder if this one’s for Sam or Brittany.”

“Why would it be for Brittany?” Blaine asked but he was answered when the song began.

Santana strut out on stage removing her jacket so she was in a sexy strapless black dress. A very tight sexy strapless black dress.

The music began to play and she began to sing her heart out, making flirtatious winks at the audience, but more so towards a ditzy blonde cheerleader in particular.

“Let me know that I’ve done wrong When I’ve know this all along. I go around a time or two Just to waste my time with you. Tell me all that you’ve thrown away. Find out games you don’t wanna play. You are the only one that needs to know. I’ll keep you my dirty little secret. Dirty little secret.”

Blaine couldn’t help but chuckle as he looked up at Kurt and mouthed “definitely for Brittany.”

Santana continued her face taking on a more serious look as she sang.

“Don’t tell anyone or you’ll be just another regret. Just another regret, hope that you can keep it. My dirty little secret.”

Santana continued her song, her expressions were perfect. Her stage presence and her swagger just made everything a million times better. Her song selection was excellent and she demonstrated such passion in every word she said.

She ended her song and the crowd broke out into applause.

“Thank you, thank you.” she said cockily. Then she looked at her boyfriend who wasn’t clapping and said “What’s your problem, Trouty mouth?”

“I think you know damn well what my problem is Santana. I’m only going to ask this once, are you cheating on me with Brittany?” he asked pointing at Brittany who sat there completely unphased.

“Of course ‘Tana’s not cheating on you with me, it’s not cheating because the plumbing’s different. Right ‘Tana?” She asked bubbly.

“Brittany, are you cheating on me?” Artie asked baffled.

“Shit just got real.” Puckerman exclaimed from the back row.

“Fine, so me and Britt’s like to get our mak on. Big deal.”

“Big deal? Brittany how could you cheat on me?” Artie asked.

“Santana, you this is wrong, why would you use me like this?” Sam interjected.

“GUYS!” Mr. Schue yelled gathering everyone’s attention. “You all need to cool off and settle down and then were going right back to practice, so just take a five minute break. Okay?” He said angrily.

End Notes: TBC. The next chapter continues with the rest of the glee club meeting, it was just getting too long for my liking. I know the chapters aren't long, but so far they've all been just about around the same length and I couldn't have this one awkwardly throwing off the balance. Oh and thanks for reading my story!*Rachel's song is Because of You by Kelly Clarkson.*Finn's song is Burn by Usher.*Santana's song is Dirty Little Secret by the All-American Rejects.
