I started to panic.

“Kurt open the fucking door! I’m worried!”

No response.

“Kurt?” Finn yelled, he was suddenly standing next to me and trying to open the door.

“Kurt! Please open the door!” I cried.

No response.

Finn banged loudly on the door.

Still.no.response.

Finn pushed me aside and busted the door down with his shoulder, “Kurt?!?” He yelled a little more panicky into the empty room.

“Finn! What the hell are you doing?” Kurt yelled from behind us.

“Kurt I thought you were like dead in your room or something!” I cried holding on to him.

“I was doing laundry downstairs, why’d you bust my door down?” He laughed.

Nothing can describe the panic I was feeling in that moment compared to the relief that I felt seeing him a live and holding him in my arms. I swear got whiplash from the turn of emotions.

“Kurt you’re okay! I was so worried!” I cried.

“What’d you think happen?” He laughed but his expression turned cold. “Actually don’t answer that. I’m okay though, I’m sorry to have worried you.” He said sadly.

“I’m glad you’re okay.” Finn hugged him.

We all stood there in a group hug no one wanting to break to bond of joy and relief we felt in knowing Kurt was okay.

When we finally did break apart Kurt was the first to speak, “Wait shouldn’t you guys be at the game still?” He asked.

“It was interrupted and then they cancelled it.” Finn explained.

“Why what happened?” Kurt asked.

“The police showed up and arrested Karofsky.” I answered.

“You’re safe dude.” Finn smiled.

“I am.” Kurt replied grinning like a madman.

“No one can hurt you now; you’re going to be okay.” I smiled.

“I’m going to be okay.” He repeated, although I think it was more so for him than for Finn and I.

“Um mom and dad get back tonight; I think we have a lot of things to tell them.” Finn laughed.

Kurt smiled. “Dad doesn’t even know about the kiss last year or how badly the bullying escalated, it’s going to be a long explanation.” Kurt sighed.

“Well at least you won’t have to do it alone. Blaine and I will be here for you.” Finn added.

“You’ll never have to be alone.” I smiled.

Finn was making a snack in the kitchen and I was cuddled up next to Kurt on the sofa trading lazy kisses when their parents walked in.

“Hey mom! Hey dad!” Finn yelled from the kitchen.

“Hi Dad, hi mom! How was your trip? Is everything okay there?” Kurt asked politely.

“Hello Mr. Hummel, Hi Mrs. Hudson.” I said trying to be as dapper as possible while Kurt was still practically sitting on my lap.

“Hello boys! We missed you!” Carole smiled kissing Kurt on the forehead and making Finn bend down so she could do the same to him. “Hello, Blaine is it?” She laughed.

“Hey buddy, hey kiddo.” Burt smiled and hugged Finn and Kurt.

They joined us in the living room and told Finn and Kurt about their trip.

Afterwards there was an awkward silence, in which Burt Hummel gave me the most terrifying look I’ve ever seen.

“So guys, I’d like you to meet my boyfriend, Blaine.” Kurt smiled.

“Awww!!!! Oh my God you have a boyfriend!” Carole smiled.

“When did this happen?” Burt laughed wholeheartedly.

“Actually a lot of stuff happened while you were gone.” Kurt frowned.

“Like?” Carole willed him to go on.

“Remember Karofsky?” Finn asked.

“Yes…” Burt hesitated.

“They bullying was a little worse then I told you about…” Kurt trailed off.

“How much worse?” Carole asked concerned.

“I spent today in the hospital.” Kurt sighed.

“But he’s in jail now!” Finn added as he saw Burt tense up.

“For?” Carole asked.

“…Rape and assault...” Kurt said hesitantly.

“What?!?” Burt and Carole said at exactly the same time.

“Yeah.” Kurt sighed.

“Kurt oh my God, are you okay?” Carole asked running over and pulling Kurt into a hug.

“I’ll fucking kill him, how dare he? Are you okay?” Burt asked joining Carole in hugging Kurt.

“I think I’ll be okay.” He said softly.

“We’ll always be here for you.” Burt said concerned.

“I know, I’m sorry.” He sighed.

“Kurt, look at me. It’s not your fault.” I said looking into his eyes. I hated to look into his eyes and see such pain.

He’d get better.

And I’d help him.
