My life.
Well my life is okay.
Any onlooker would say my life is perfect. My family loves me, I go to fancy-smancy prep school, I have great friends, my family is extremely wealthy, and all that jazz. But still call me selfish there is something missing that I can’t live without.
Simply put: love.
Sure I have a super supportive family and wonderful friends, but I want something more. Something special. Someone special.
I want a boyfriend.
Someone I can love and who will love me back.
Someone who finds my quirks adorable instead of strange.
Someone to cuddle with and watch cheesy romance movies.
Someone.
I wanted someone.
My friends constantly assured me that one day I’d find someone, but being practically the only openly gay kid in my town, proved the task of finding love very challenging.
I’ve never had a boyfriend, never even held hands with someone yet alone a first kiss.
When school starts in the fall I’ll be a senior in high school for crying out loud!
What if I never find love?
I was brought out of my thoughts as my mother sat down next to me at the kitchen table.
“Hello dear, how are you today?” She asked politely.
“I’m fine mother, and how about yourself? How was your day?” I asked cheerfully.
“Oh my day was lovely.” She said happily looking all around the room her eyes darting back and forth to the door every time a car went by on the street.
“Why are you so antsy?” I asked confused.
“I’m just excited for your father to get home, dear. We have some big news to share.” She smiled brightly.
“Oooh I can’t wait.” I smiled.
And I didn’t have to wait long because my father entered the room in a matter of minutes. He greeted my mother with a kiss on the cheek and then attempted to tousle my hair but pulled his hand out covered and gel and just laughed.
“Blaine, your father and I have some exciting news.” My mother said happily. “Go on dear.” She encouraged my father to speak.
“Well you see son, business has been booming lately and the franchise is opening a new location and I was promoted to be the manager at the new branch.” My father smiled.
“That’s great dad!” I said excitedly.
“And with the opening of the new branch, we will be moving.” He said softly.
“Oh, okay. Where to?” I asked. I wasn’t very attached to this home; I boarded at Dalton, so it’s not even like it mattered. I only really came home on the weekends.
“We’ll be moving to Lima, it’s only about an hour and a half away.” My mother explained.
“Oh that’s nice.” I smiled.
“So you don’t have a problem with that?” My dad asked confused.
“No, um why would I? I’d still be boarding at Dalton so would it matter?” I asked now getting worried.
“That’s the thing sweetheart. It’d be very far away from Dalton. And we hardly ever get to see you as is. So we were thinking, you could live at home and you could attend one of the schools within the district.” She explained.
“That’d mean leaving all my friends behind.” I said sadly. “And wait? Public School? I’ll die!” I said dramatically.
“Blaine, I know your friends mean a lot to you, but you’d still be able to see them. And as for public school, you will not die.” My father laughed fondly.
“Yes I will! I’m gay! You remember why I went to Dalton in the first place!” I began raising my voice.
“Now, now. We’ll be sure nothing like that happens. You’ll be safe Blaine.” My father smiled.
“Okay. When do we move?” I asked less than enthusiastically.
“In two weeks.” My mother smiled. “We already have the house, it’s in this adorable little neighborhood, right behind the school I was thinking you could go to. And there are some families there with kids your age. It’ll be nice.” My mother explained happily.
“Okay.” I sighed.
From then on those two weeks passed by rapidly. I spent most of the time packing and calling up friends from Dalton telling them I wouldn’t be returning. A lot of them were upset, but most just wished me luck.
There were going to be so many changes in my life, I needed all the luck I could get.
The two weeks wrapped up quickly and before I knew it we were in the car about ten minutes from our soon to be house.
My eyes were glued out the window taking in all the surroundings.
When we were stopped at an intersection I noticed what had to be the most beautiful boy I’ve ever seen out for a run, ear buds in his ear, and a smile on his face.
“I think I may like it here.” I said fondly earning a laugh from both of my parents.

Im back!!! And criticism? This is fabulous!!! I like hearing Blaine's point of view. Everyone always portrays his parents as extremely mean and unsupportive so I like the change!!
Awwwh thanks! And yeah I didn't have the heart to write about abusive parents so I was like they're just going to be super nice. Like in the show all it said was that he wasn't close to them and he and his dad built a car to get his hands dirty--cause that just screams abuse and abandonment. Yeah in this story they're going to be nice. I'm glad you like it and thanks for reading!!!
omg! your commet was like.... wow!!!!! thank you! that helped alot :)your totally right! :)
Glad I could help :) Remember just let me know if you ever need anyone to talk to. I'll be here for you!
Your username is exactly what question I'm asking you. KURTIE KURTIE KURTIE!!!!!!! NOOOOOOooooooOOOOOOOO!!!!! And that's all I have to say about that. P.S. I read your "speech" about coming out and I just had to say that I think you're amazing! Thank you for helping other people coming to terms with who they are. Yes, if they don't like it, fuck em! Not literally...
Hahaha I'm glad someone caught on to the whole username thing. Thanks for reading! And thank you so much :) I know coming out can be a difficult and scary process, esspecially when you're not sure how others will react. But all in all, it's just important to be yourself. Others can be absolutely awful, but that just goes to show that you're better than them. And yes to litterally fuck them would not really help the situation...well maybe, I don't know. Hahahah.
Yay welcome to the party! Thanks for reading :)
lol... I may like it here XD
I love the idea of Kurt not goint to spy on the Warblers so he didn't get to meet Blaine, and now they will meet. Can't wait to see how it all goes down :) And I love that his parents are nice in this and support him for being gay.
Awwh thanks! I'm glad you like it! Hopefully I won't dissapoint! Thanks for reading :)!
