Chapter 12: Spiders and Fungus
"You're up early." Nick tried his best to play the role of the calm and collected cousin. "What you are doing?"
Kurt stopped typing on his laptop and looked up. His cousin was bouncing on his feet and nervously looking around. Nick, despite all his good intentions, was an easy individual to read and today the boy's demeanor was narrating itself. Nick's uniform tie were not properly fixed, his blazer was slightly wrinkled and his brown hair was uncharacteristically shuffled. It was not a large or unimaginable assumption for Kurt to conclude that Thad's little outburst was now public knowledge. For a man so muscular it is surprising that his voice is able to reach so high, unless of course are pharmaceuticals being abused. In that case Thad was sure to have some other surprises.
"I'm doing fine. Take a seat." Kurt closed down the web browser he was reading before Nick could notice. Thankfully Nick's mind was currently on one track, or he would have seen something confusing on his cousin's computer screen. "I woke up early, got dressed and came down here for breakfast."
When Kurt returned to his and Sebastian's dorm for his uniform the brothers were already gone. This left him wondering what Blaine was wearing. Was the boy walking around in his sleepwear? The last time Kurt checked the lead singer's uniform was in his private dorm, along with all his other personal items.
Nick casually glanced around the dining hall. The space was more or less empty with five freshmen eating and studying at a faraway table. In the center of the common space were multiple glass canisters filled with a variety of cereals. Next to them was large baskets of fruits. The morning rush of hungry boys has yet to happen. Once the wave did hit, then the cereal and fruit would not last long.
"Oh me too," the brown haired boy lied. Subtly and deception has never proven to be Nick strong point, unless of course such details involved Sebastian and past transgression. That was a secret so far too deep in denial to casually surface in Nick's mannerism. "Why did you wake up early? Normally you sleep in to the last minute. Did something happen...?" Nick took a seat directly across the wooden table from his cousin.
Kurt reopened his internet browser when he knew Nick would not be able to see it. There was something sensitive he wanted to research before the day officially began. "Nick, does this have something to do with Thad?"
"It's true!" Nick screamed and accused at the same time. The freshmen from the other side of the dining hall turned around and glared at the older boys. Kurt politely and apologetically waved in their direction. Nick did not notice the gesture, but he did lower his voice. "How could you? I'm so sorry I didn't warn you well enough. Are you feeling okay? Those brothers are scum and filth. One of these days they're going to get a STD or worse. Oh, you really should get tested. I know of a place..."
Nick would have continued on, but Kurt stepped in. His cousin was too sensitive when it involved the infamous brothers. "Nick, Thad is lying." When the words did not seem to reach meaning to Nick, Kurt repeated. "Nothing happened last night. Blaine didn't take a liking to my joke. As a solution Blaine and I switched beds. Thad is being an over reacting drama queen."
Nick hunched his shoulders and leaned forward. "You didn't sleep with Blaine?"
"There is a big difference between 'sleeping with' and being 'physically intimate'? I did not have relations with Blaine. Besides, even if Blaine wasn't off limits and Thad's property, I still wouldn't date him. I don't like him like that. The same can be said about his brother. I'm just trying to keep the peace."
Kurt's words were a beautiful song to Nick, but the explanation did not over ride something equally damaging: Kurt's reputation. "What about Thad? He is telling the whole school that you're a... I don't what to say the word, but it starts with a 'W' and it rhymes with bore and snore."
The smug condescending brat crossed Kurt's mind. By no means is Kurt jealous of Thad Hawthorne or his relationship with Blaine. However Blaine seemed like too nice of a person to willing subject himself to someone like that. If Nick is right and Blaine is not charming after all, then Blaine is a probably a perfect companion for Thad.
"Thad is crazy. Do people even take him seriously?" Nick bit his tongue. Kurt may barely know the other guy, but he had a valid point. Most people stopped believing Thad's when the junior accidently wrote 'Thad Anderson' on one of his English papers and later blamed the teacher for the name change. Luckily Mr. and Mrs. Hawthorne did not receive a complaint and Thad's sexuality stayed a secret. Although, that did not stop the entire school from laughing at Thad's embarrassing blunder.
"Just be careful. If anyone gives you any problems, then tell me." Nick was not sure what he would do if Kurt held him to his word, but it sounded like the right thing to say. In effort to change the subject Nick asked, "What are you working on? I was a junior last year. Maybe I can help."
"It's not school related. I'm just curious about something. It's not important." To prove his point Kurt closed his computer screen. Once the lid was shut Kurt had the propensity to open it up again. Even though he knew it was all in his head, he could not stop the way his body kept itching.
Unfortunately for Kurt, now that Nick's mind was focused and attuned with his surrounding he was able to notice that his cousin kept itching his wrist. In addition to his wrist, the skin below Kurt's ears was a light shade of pink from finger nail scratches.
"Are you using a new brand of laundry detergent?"
Kurt stopped scratching him arm and reopened his computer. "No. I'm not sure what's going on. Have you ever thought of ants or spiders and then felt like there were bugs crawling all over you?" Nick nodded his head a confirmative. "Well that is happening right now. I'm over reacting about something, and I can't outsmart my brain to make the itch go away."
A few seniors arrived in the dining hall and immediately they began prowling and consuming the neatly organized food. Nick temporarily excused himself so he could get breakfast before all the food was picked over. Nick was barely gone for two minutes until he returned with a white bowel filled high fiber cereal and an apple.
"Okay, sorry for leaving." Nick returned his previous seat and took a sip of orange juice. "Are their bugs in your dorm? Well besides the parasite and virus you continued to befriend against my warnings?" The senior did not say the second half of his comment aloud. In Nick's mind he likes to refer to refer to Sebastian as the parasite and Blaine the virus. The nicknames only seemed fitting. Similar to a parasite, Sebastian latching on to someone and then emotionally drains the person. He becomes stronger and more confident with the relationship. Meanwhile the other person becomes sickly, wary and self-conscious. Blaine is like a virus. The junior has the perfect good-boy appearance. However, if you get him get close to you, and then he will turn your body against itself and use it for his own sick pleasure.
Kurt did not want to explain himself, however the nervous habit of itching his wrist was starting to become painful. "If I tell you something, then you have to promise me that you won't tell anyone." The other boy nodded his head in understanding. "I mean, this is really embarrassing. Not embarrassing for me, but for someone else. I don't want to spread rumors or anything. I mean, if I was a doctor I wouldn't even be allowed to discuss this to you."
The mention of a doctor caused Nick to stop chewing his breakfast. With a mouth full of food, Nick spoke. "I promise not to tell anyone. Who is sick? Is it serious?"
"Oh, Nick, it's nothing serious." Kurt lowered his voice when another group of boys entered the mess hall. It would probably be wise to have this discussion somewhere else, however it was loud here and no one was listening to them. "It's not serious, but it is probably embarrassing for a certain individual. You cannot tell anyone. I...I..." Kurt looked back and forth between his cousin and computer screen. "I'm sure it's a misunderstanding. Even if it is true, then there is nothing wrongful or shameful with it. Okay..." The pale boy took a deep breath before he broke the ice. "Have you ever heard of Dr. Kathleen Paterson?"
Nick had to lean forward in order to hear his cousin better. "I've never heard of her before."
"I looked her up. She is a gynecologist from a clinic in some rich town about five hours from here."
"Okay, you lost me." The brown haired boy held up his palm and stopped Kurt from continuing the story. "Please explain from the beginning. All I ask is that you keep the graphics to a minimum." Nick finished his sentence with pink cheeks. The blush only spread when Jeff plopped his body next to Kurt.
The hyperactive blond was already munching on a bowel of strawberries. "Word on the street is that you and had Thad had an unfortunate encounter outside Blaine's room this morning. But don't you worry. No one takes Thad seriously. One time that walking human steroid got crazy jealous over a hot fudge sundae. You see, Blaine has a massive sweet tooth and Thad got upset because Blaine was giving the food more attention than him. I've always wondered if Thad later turned himself into a human sundae..." Jeff swallowed another piece of fruit and lived out the thought. Suddenly the strawberries he was eating no longer tasted appealing. "I really shouldn't talk about sundaes in the morning. Do you think if I played my flirting cards right, then I could get the cook to make me one?" Jeff is his good intentions immediately added. "I mean a normal sundae, I'm not saying that I want the cook to cover her body in syrup and whip cream, and then lay on a bed of roses.... Oh, no that's all I can picture right now." Jeff covered his hair with his hands.
The cook that Jeff was picturing was by no means old or ugly. In fact, she was rather attractive and athletic. Her soul lack of appeal was that she has a son older and more muscular than Jeff. The son could easily knock Jeff down a peg or two.
"If I didn't know any better I would you already ate too much ice cream. How are you so hyper? I've been drinking coffee all morning and I'm barely moving." Kurt teased and took another drink of his hot beverage.
"It's easy, every morning I take a spoonful of sugar, mixed it a glass of..." Jeff stopped talking and his eyes widen when he noticed what Kurt was researching. "Why are you reading about feminine hygiene fungal infections?" The blond nearly shouted. "It's safe for me to say that I have a higher fascination with the female body then you, but even I have to draw lines when it comes to fungal infections. Whenever I'm into a store pharmacy I always try to avoid that department." Jeff added the last part of his statement as if it had great significance.
"Shh," Kurt panicked and glanced around the room to ensure that Blaine and his brother were not around. Thankfully they were not. "Maybe you guys can help me understand this, but first Jeff. What I'm about to tell you has to stay between the three of us."
The blond placed his hand over his heart. "I promise on all the green M&M's in this world, plus Mars and Saturn, that I will not blab your secret. You have my word, now spill."
Nick smirked at Jeff. Some people may say the blond has an attention disorder. Nick likes to call it quirkiness. "That teaspoonful of sugar must really work. What about the green M&M's on Jupiter or Venus? "
"There isn't candy on Jupiter or Venus, silly." Jeff did not notice Nick swoon at the enduring nickname.
A new swarm of boys entered the room and immediately began pouring and spilling breakfast into glass bowels. A loud mummer was radiating among the freshmen about a big upcoming exam at eleven. "Okay, Kurt," the blond returned to the original conversation. "Share your gossip."
The word 'gossip' caused Kurt to want to retract and not share his story and confusion. However, it was too late for late for that.
"First and foremost I don't know the whole story, and no matter what the ending may be there is nothing wrong Blaine. You have to respect Blaine, even if he has a secret he's not sharing." Kurt's blue eyes scanned the dining hall once more. He already knew he should keep his mouth shut. "This morning when Thad woke me up I panicked when I heard the sudden noise. After Thad left and I closed the door, I realized that I accidently tossed my pillow aside and knocked over a glass of water on the nightstand... I didn't want to leave Blaine's room messy, so I went into his bathroom to get a towel. I wasn't trying to snoop around, but when I was looking for a towel I accidently came across a small jar with a prescription label around it.... I know I'm completely in the wrong, but I read the label..."
Nick and Jeff completely stopped eating. If Sebastian was a parasite for boy's confidence, then Jeff was a parasite for fresh gossip. Even though Jeff can be a great friend, gossip is far sweeter when it involves someone he knows.
"And..." The blond nudged Kurt in the shoulder. "What did it say?"
Kurt wrinkled his nose and scratched the back of his neck. He didn't want to spread gossip or start any rumors. If he didn't keep hitting roadblocks in his online research, then he never would have mentioned it in the first place. Now it was too late. If he stayed silent and didn't finish his story, then Jeff would go and ask Blaine questions. Soon those questions would ultimately lead back to him.
"At first I didn't recognize the name of the drug." Kurt began with complete innocence. "I was going to mind by own business and not pry. Then I saw the words 'anti-fungal' on the label. Considering I slept on his sheets and we cuddled, I started to get paranoid." Kurt ignored the slight eyebrow raises from his audience. "I'm not sure how his fungal infection is spread and my ignorance got the best of me." Feeling like a snoopy creep, the pale boy added. "I wasn't sure if Blaine's problem is contagious and I very well can't ask him about it. Instead, I memorized the prescription label and began researching the cream... I'm such an awful person. This is probably illegal."
The nervous itch behind Kurt's neck was starting to spread down his back. If only he didn't spill the water and played detective afterwards, then he wouldn't have this problem. He didn't have an infection. His mind was only playing tricks on him. Based on the research Kurt did, he knows Blaine's problem could not have been transferred to him.
"You're not awful person." Nick promised.
Jeff was three steps ahead and trying to piece the puzzle together. "What does this have to do with the female body?"
Kurt turned a deep shade of red. "I looked up this topical cream's indications. The cream is used to treat a specific vaginal fungus infection." Nick knocked over his orange juice and Jeff slammed his back against the chair seat. "Obviously Blaine is using this cream for an off label use, which is completely fine. With that in mind I looked up the drugs active ingredient to see what other pharmaceuticals have this agent in it. I also wanted to know what type of fungus it targets and where in the body it affects." After an hour of heavy search, Kurt didn't learn anything new. "There is only one active ingredient in this cream and it only targets one type of fungus - a fungus that can only live in the vagina. It sounds painful. I would wonder if this is how he got his own room..."
Kurt did not realize when Jeff started laughing. "I don't understand. That doesn't make sense. I know for a fact that he doesn't have a vagina."
Nick pretended that he didn't hear Jeff last comment. Instead he held up his hand again. "Wait, you mentioned a gynecologist a while ago...What was that about?"
"Oh shit!" Jeff shouted. More than one person looked in their direction. The blond didn't care. "I used to think Wes was my go-to man for good gossip. Is this a normal thing you two do in the morning? We need to make this a regular thing." Nick blushed at the idea of seeing Jeff more frequently. "Oh, sorry, please continue with this story. Tell me about the gynecologist." The hyper boy rested his chin in his palm and innocently widened his bright green eyes. "For a quick FYI, I once thought I would have made a great gynecologist. Then I changed my mind when I realized I wouldn't be allowed to date or hook-up with my patients. When I learned that, I realized that defeated that the purpose of the profession."
"Very classy Jeff," Kurt joked and Jeff shrugged. "You guys are enjoying this way too much. Okay, by this point I'm getting genuinely curious. I looked up the prescribing physician to see if the doctor specialized in something. I thought maybe it would answer some of my questions...she does specialized in something...however it only asked more questions. Why was Blaine talking with a gynecologist in the first place?" In case he needed to clarify Kurt added. "I honestly don't care why Blaine is using this medication. I only wanted to know if it was not contagious. However, since the two of us did not have vaginal intercourse, I know I'm safe. Now, can be please drop this conversation. Blaine is our friend. I don't want to cause any problems." Kurt didn't mean to get defensive. He was just, if not more, guilty then his friends.
"Don't worry. Blaine's vaginal problem is safe with me." Jeff spoke too seriously and firmly. He, like most of the attractive boys at the school, has seen Blaine naked at least once; and he knows for a fact that Blaine is a boy. Who knows why the lead singer is using the medication. One thing is for certain, this will be fun for him to watch. "I promised in the name green M&M's. I will never betray your trust. Thanks for the good gossip. Do you have anything else you would like to share?"
Jeff and Nick's calm and open-minded nature helped Kurt relax. His secret would be safe with them. Against his better judgment Kurt wrist kept itching. Maybe he would need to do more research. Kurt did not care what Blaine secret was. Maybe if he helped Blaine stopped being embarrassed about his medical condition, then the dark haired boy would be more confident and less likely to flirt and fool around to boast his self-esteem.
..
Kurt, for the most part, kept to himself for the remainder of the day. He went to all his classes and then found a quiet corner to study until he was hungry and his blood sugar was low. When he finally arrived at the dining hall the area was mostly empty and Friday night parties were starting to develop. Kurt was too tired to attend such nonsense. Back at his old school one of his friends used to tease him and say that they've meet people in their eighties who were more exciting than him.
Wes did invite him to a Warbler party at a local restaurant across the street from school. The invite sounded mandatory. However after a brief and lame explanation that he was tired, Wes excused his absence. As far as Kurt was concerned tonight all he wanted to do was wash his sheets and then watch a French subtitled movie. He was washing his sheets in the name of proper hygiene and the comfort of sleeping on clean bedding. If anyone were to ask, this has nothing to do with Blaine. In truth Blaine did play a psychological factor. It was sure to be a quiet night, especially with Sebastian going to Wes' party. He would have the dorm to himself.
Once he finished dinner Kurt started to walk towards his bedroom. The old hallway seemed larger and colder with the majority of the student body out for the night. The peace and serenity was quickly terminated when Kurt unlocked the heavy oak door into his dorm room door. The key was almost half-way in the lock when the sound of whimpering and flying objects reached his ears.
"What the..." Kurt quickened his actions and opened the door. A million warnings and hours of practice could not have prepared Kurt for what he was about to see.
In the center of the room on the hard wooden floor was a blue puddle of Windex, over half the bottle no doubt. Leading away from the puddle was a pathway of tossed textbooks and magazines. The discarded paper and hardback literature ended at the foot of Sebastian's bed. As for Sebastian's bed, the edges of Sebastian's blankets were folded up and the bed skirt was completely out pulled from under the mattress - leaving no piece of fabric to touch the floor. Outside Sebastian's opened wardrobe was a pile of shoes, Tupperware, cleaning products, and paper towels.
Earlier when Kurt stopped by the room to get his uniform he noticed that his bed was neatly made. Now the top cover was messy. It almost looked like someone danced on it. The source of the mess was not difficult to isolate.
"Oh, thank goodness!" Sebastian both cried and cheered. "I've been trapped in here for over forty minutes! I need your help!"
"Yes, you do." Kurt referred to his roommate sanity verses Sebastian's physical endangerment. A quick scan of the room did not suggest that there was any immediate harm or danger in the dorm room.
The older boy was standing on top of a wooden desk chair, and not-so-proudly holding a bottle of Windex in one hand and a shoe in the other. Sebastian's face was paler than Kurt has ever seen it before and his hair uncharacteristically wild.
"What happened?"
Sebastian didn't want to talk, but if Kurt was going to help him then he needed to make his point brief. "I was minding my own busy and getting ready for Wes' stupid dinner, when that thing attacked me."
Kurt followed the direction his roommate was pointing towards. At first the younger boy did not see anything obvious. Upon closer inspection Kurt noticed a small black speck on the wall next to Sebastian's bed. A few steps closer and Kurt realized that the small dot was fact a simple garden spider. This spider was slightly smaller than the previous spider the roommates had to endure.
"Kill it. Kill it." The senior with a cleaning product as his main form of defense cried. "I've tried everything and nothing will work."
"I didn't think you were afraid of spiders?" Kurt crossed his arms and sat at the edge of his bed. "In a not-so-long-ago situation you pretended to be afraid of a spider in hopes that I would fall into your arms. It didn't work last time and it won't work this time."
"That was different!" Sebastian cried with unnecessary urgency. The simple and small spider wasn't running or trying to escape. "Could you please kill the spider? Why do spiders hate me?" Kurt unfolded his arms and stood up. For a brief glimmer Sebastian thought Kurt was going to answer his plea. The moment was cut short when Kurt began unmaking his bed. "What are you doing? We'll look for more spiders later, but first you need to kill that one." Again the older boy pointed towards the spider as if Kurt forgot where it was residing. Once Kurt did not move or say anything Sebastian confessed. "I lied! I lied about not being afraid of spiders! There, now are you happy?"
"First of all, it does make me very happy. Secondly, here's the plan. I'm going to leave and put these sheets in the washing machine. As for the spider, we'll figure something out when I get back." Kurt bent over and reached under his bed for his laundry soap. The hidden floor was clean, a nice storage space, and spider free. Sebastian didn't need to know that last part.
"You can't go! The only reason I stayed in this infested room for the past forty minutes was because I didn't want to lose the spider. My legs are getting tired!"
Kurt said nothing and stared under his bed. The space was completely clean, but something crossed his mind. The Anderson-Smythe brothers were able to serve their pranks and flirtations; however neither of them has proven to be able to take it. Blaine certainly wasn't able to tolerate a prank. How would Sebastian tolerate some hot water?
"What are you doing?"
"Sebastian," Kurt whispered and kept his eyes under his bed. "Where was the first place you saw that spider? I think I found the nest...I think that is mama spider and her eggs are under my bed."
"Take it!" Sebastian threw his shoe at Kurt and then tightened both his hands around his bottle of Windex
Kurt ducked his head when Sebastian tossed the shoe at him. The footwear hit the wall with a loud bang. "Sebastian, don't do that!" The younger boy pointed towards Sebastian bed. The barely noticeable black speck ran further up the wall. The spider's sudden movement caused the older boy to painfully shriek. "Sebastian, what kinds are chemicals did you spray at her? Certain chemicals can give spiders special abilities like extra speed and higher jumping!" Kurt spiced his voice with fear and horror. If he panicked, then Sebastian was such to panic more.
"That's not true!" Thankfully the dorm building was empty. Otherwise the people next door would have heard the fearful quiver in Sebastian unconfident correction. "That's only true in science fiction! This isn't funny anymore. Kill the egg spiders before they hatch, then kill mama spider. Then you and I are going to tear this room apart. Tomorrow we're going to complain to the maintenance!"
"Alright," Kurt stood up and grabbed his sheets and laundry soap. "First I'm going to put this in the wash."
"Kurt Hummel, don't you dare leave this room." Sebastian barked from his wooden pedestal. "This is serious. I thought we were friend!"
It took every bit of self of control for Kurt not to laugh at Sebastian's seriousness. This version of Sebastian reminded Kurt of the boy he first met, not the arrogant flirt he has known since then. This person was funnier.
"We are friends," Kurt smirked and set his sheets back on his bed. A better idea came to mind. Thankfully Sebastian was too distracted to notice Kurt's sudden mood change. "I'm scared too. The image of all those spider eggs is still giving me the willies. You should have seen it. Picture this: two white cotton-looking nets hanging from the mattress springs and knowing that they're filled with hundreds of creepy crawlers. I can practically feel them crawling on me right now. Can you feel it too?" Since Kurt become distracted with all of Sebastian's worries, his mind-controlling itch has gone away. "It was so gross." Kurt, in his best effects, seductively took off his blazer and undid his tie. "I don't think I'll be able to sleep in my bed tonight. Do you have any suggestions?" After the tie, Kurt removed his white collar shirt and kept his white t-shirt on.
Despite the fact that Kurt was playfully batting his eyelashes and nibbling his lower lip, Sebastian missed the suggestive hints. "Kurt, you have to kill these spiders. I can't live like this! What must I do to make you kill the spider for me? Like I said before I won't harm a spider if it stays outside. Indoor spiders are fair game."
"Hmm," Kurt decided to push his prank further and he unlaced his shoes. "How about you get off your stool and give me a kiss." The odds of Sebastian agreeing to this proposition were the same as none.
Sebastian's eyes light up at the offer. "Kill the spider first."
"No."
"Then come over here."
"No."
Sebastian did not move from his self-created prison. Kurt could not help but smirk at his control in the situation.
"If you refuse to kiss me, then there must be something else you could do for me." As if he wasn't punishing Sebastian enough, Kurt lay down on Sebastian's bed and rested his head against his roommate's pillow. "What could that be?"
"Good grief Kurt!" Sebastian screamed. "Are you trying to kill me or the spider? Get rid of that spider and I will kiss you and let you sleep in my bed tonight!"
Kurt stared at the spider on the wall. For the past few minutes the spider has been stationary. He and Sebastian would need to correct this problem in the future.
"Oh no-no," Kurt dismissively waved his hand in the air, but otherwise stayed on Sebastian's bed. "If you don't want to kiss me, then I won't make you. I want you to want me. But you're making it sound like a chore. I can't allow that. What to do...?"
Sebastian eyes kept switching back and forth between the garden spider and the way Kurt was drumming his fingers over his shirt covered abdomen. "You better be careful or I might just get off this chair."
"You could, but you won't." Knowing that he was getting close to pushing Sebastian too far, Kurt took one further and final step. "Bas," He purred the special pet-name that Sebastian requested that he call him. "Why don't you want to play with me anymore? Have I been too bad of a boy?"
Sebastian took a deep breath and tried to will the tension in his pants away. How could the thing he most fear, be next to the thing he most desires? It was unfair and cruel. Had the senior not been so focused on this question and the way Kurt was licking his lips, then he would have notice the sparkle of mischief in Kurt's blue eyes. The younger boy was carefully watching Sebastian and waiting for the moment when temptation finally get the best of him.
That moment was captured when Kurt noticed a slight bend in Sebastian's knees and shift in his weight. The senior did not have a chance to declare his decision before Kurt screamed, "The eggs are hatching!"
"Oh shit! Where," Sebastian turned around the face Kurt's bed and he carelessly sprayed the blue liquid towards the ground. "I can't see them! Am I getting them?"
Instead of answering Kurt grabbed a plastic piece of Tupperware from the associated mess outside Sebastian's wardrobe. "There is nothing over there, relax."
The older boy turned around just in time to see Kurt trapping the spider in the plastic container. Kurt kept the corner cracked opened for ventilation. "You were supposed to kill it? You just ruined my Tupperware." Even though Sebastian was from a wealthy family and owner of a generous trust-fund, he was also very frugal with his money.
"Considering this little guy attacked you, I think you should be happy that you're still alive. Good thing I came to your rescue the nick in time."
"Shut up," Sebastian grumbled and stepped down from the chair. With the spider finally contained he was able to realize the utter mess he caused in their room. "I wasn't that scared."
"Sure you weren't." Kurt began to hand over the Tupperware to his roommate. "Why don't you be a good little boy and take him outside."
Sebastian masked his shutter with a self-satisfying smirk. The arrogant brat was back. "For someone who was just begging me to take him on my bed, you're being kind of rude. Why don't you take him outside, and when you return I'll be here, waiting to pay you back for all your kind services?"
Kurt boldly smiled and lied. "For someone who has a spider in his hair you're being quite calm."
The senior resisted the urge to fall into another one of Kurt's trap. However, no amount of physical restrain could control his unattractive stutter. "N-n-n-n-no I don't."
Kurt stood on his tippy toes to get a better view of Sebastian's brown hair. "Are you sure? It looks pretty big from where I'm standing."
Against his better judgment Sebastian felt something tickle his head, yet he kept his ground and his brave face on. "You may have gotten Blaine with ghosts and me with spiders, but we'll get you back." The threat was spoken with mischievous intentions. For the moment Sebastian forgot about his and Blaine's game. Kurt wasn't a pawn, he was a friend.
Kurt volleyed his promise with confidence that Sebastian has never seen before. "Sebastian, I don't have any flaws for you to manipulate?"
"You're so much sexier when you call me Bas?"
"And you're so much sexier when you're not screaming like a five year old and spraying Windex like a blind monkey."
"Ah, so you do think I'm sexy."
"Don't think I won't release this spider."
Sebastian dropped his head and waved his hands in the air, "Truce?"
"Truce."
Kurt smiled and left the room to release the spider outside. It was then when something stranger crossed Sebastian mind. He referred to Kurt as something he 'most desired.' When did that start?
