In the following weeks, both Kurt and Blaine were swept up in a haze of Glee practice and revising for exams, but they spent most of their weekends together;
watching films, listening to music, and just being with each other.
A few weeks after the Karofsky incident, Blaine found himself in the Lima Bean waiting for his order when someone tapped him on the shoulder.
'What do you want?' Blaine asked, turning round and seeing Sebastian standing there.
'I just want to talk' Sebastian held his hands up, and smiled softly.
'I'm going to meet my boyfriend in 10 minutes, so you better be quick' Blaine sighed, taking his coffee and sitting down at a near by table.
'Look, I just want to a apologise' Sebastian started, sitting in the seat opposite Blaine, 'it wasn't fair of me to just turn up like that, but I thought that Rachel had asked you and I honestly just wanted to see you. I was rude to Kurt, and I'm sorry, but seeing you with another guy..
'Sebastian shook his head, 'I don't know it just made me angry.'
'Seeing me with another guy?' Blaine asked incredulously, 'You cheated on me Sebastian, you don't have the right to get angry about anything'
'I miss you Blaine' Sebastian blurted out, 'I'm so sorry for everything that happened. I don't think I realised how much you meant to me until you weren't there any more.. I just.. I really miss you.'
Sebastian was never one to talk about his feelings, so Blaine was a bit taken aback. If you've ever had your heart broken, you play out this scenario
in your head over and over again; what if he came back for me? what if he still loved me? what would I say? and this situation was playing out
right in front of Blaine's eyes. He'd had this conversation in his head a thousand times, but Sebastian was never this upset. He was always arrogant
and rude, and Blaine always ended up either shouting or crying and then leaving. Blaine didn't know what to do. When Sebastian cheated on him,
it not only broke his heart, but rocked his confidence.
'What do you want from me?' Blaine asked, not looking up from the table.
'I just want you back.' Sebastian replied, picking his jacket up and standing to leave, 'I know it's not fair of me to ask anything of you,
I know you've moved on, but.. you were my first love too.'
Sebastian walked out of the Lima Bean, leaving Blaine to think this all over.
----

Blaine was smoking in his room that night, when his phone rang.
'Wes' Blaine smiled, 'It's been a while'
'I know I know, it's been too long. Warbler practice and exams and everything, I should've called before. How're things?'
'They're really good, McKinley's different.. and sometimes I really miss Dalton, but I think I made the right choice. How are things at Dalton?'
'They're okay, we miss you! On that thought, the warblers are having a little get together this weekend to just let loose after exams, want to come?'
'Of course I'll be there'.

---

'Ugh well that went terribly' Kurt sighed, shutting his locker.
'I'm sure you did fine.'
'I'd say I was 99% sure I've just failed that maths test, but I'd probably get the percentage wrong'
Blaine laughed, 'It's over now, let's just go home and forget about it.'
Blaine took Kurt's hand as they walked towards the car, 'You busy on Saturday?' Blaine asked, opening Kurt's door for him.
'Yeah, why? got any plans?'
Blaine put the key in the ignition, and started the drive towards Kurt's house, 'Well the Warblers are having a party, and I thought it would be nice if we went together'
'To Dalton?' Kurt asked
'Yeah, I think they'll take over the senior commons after hours. Wes is head boy so he has a spare key'
'Will Sebastian be there?' Kurt asked, playing with the hem of his jumper.
'Uh probably. He's a warbler, but I'm not going to see him' Blaine shifted awkwardly, he hadn't told Kurt about what Sebastian had said; it's
not that he didn't want to, he just didn't know how to tell Kurt without him sounding like he wasn't over Sebastian. Because he was.
'I'd love to go with you, but I can't. Not if Sebastian is there.'
'Uh, fair enough. It's okay. I was going to go anyway.'
The rest of the drive back to Kurt's was pretty awkward, Kurt eventually turned on the radio and looked out of the window.
---

Kurt decided to go bowling with Mercedes on Saturday, they hadn't spent much time together since Blaine had transferred, so he thought
he'd try and make it up to her. In the middle of a conversation about how frustrating Rachel could be, his phone rang.
'Kurrrrrrt'
'Blaine? Are you okay?' Kurt asked, excusing himself from the conversation, and heading out of the bowling alley.
'I'm brilliant. Why aren't you here? I miss you. So much.'
'Blaine are you drunk?'
'I'm not that drunk.'
'Blaine' Kurt warned.
'Yeah okay I'm drunk. You should come here. Drive up. We could dance together'
'Blaine, I'm out with Mercedes. I'm not driving up to Dalton'
'Oh come on Kurt, please. I'd love to see you drunk. It would be so much fun.'
'No Blaine, I'm spending time with Merce-'
'I'm your boyfriend. Come on, spend time with me.'
'Look Blaine, stop it. You're drunk and you're being really fucking annoying. Spend time with the warblers, I thought that was the whole point of this.'
'Kurt, I just called to say I missed you.'
'I'm busy Blaine, okay.' Kurt hung up the phone. He realised he was probably being too harsh on Blaine, but he was still kind of annoyed by the fact
that Blaine had actually gone to Dalton, knowing Sebastian would be there. Surely he could spend time with Wes and the others without Sebastian
being there? and the fact he was drunk just made Kurt worry.
He went back to Mercedes, but was clearly distracted. Mercedes noticed.
'What's wrong?'
Kurt explained, and Mercedes just nodded.
'Go up and see him. You're obviously worried, and you won't enjoy tonight if you don't find out if he's okay. I'm fine, I'll call Sam.'
Kurt shook his head, 'You know I'm right, just go' Mercedes smiled, and kissed him on the cheek.

---
It took about 40 minutes to drive to Dalton. Kurt pulled into the school, and picked up his phone. He zipped his coat up, and started walking
into the school- calling Blaine's number. Blaine, however didn't pick up. Kurt found his way to the senior commons, and was rather surprised
to see how crazy this party had gotten. Kurt only recognised Wes from photos of him and Blaine on Blaine's facebook, so went to ask him where Blaine
was.
'I think he went outside? I'm not sure. Hey Kurt do you want a drink?' Wes asked, still dancing.
'I'm alright thanks' Kurt shouted back over the music, and made his way out of the french doors at the back of the commons, to dial Blaine's number again.
He heard a phone go off round the corner of the Senior block, and the thought of Blaine unconscious suddenly filled his head, until he found himself
running round the corner- only to stop dead in his tracks.
Yeah Blaine was there, with Sebastian. Kissing.
'Blaine.'
Blaine was pushed up against the wall of the building, as Sebastian kissed up and down his neck. Hearing Kurt call his name, Blaine pushed Sebastian
off him.
'Kurt, wait listen'
Kurt turned on his heels, and ran down the large field at the back of the school, hoping this was the quickest way to his car.
'Kurt, wait' He could tell Blaine was running after him, but he didn't care.
Kurt kept running, until he met a fence at the edge of the school grounds, and realised he didn't know where he was going.
Blaine had caught up at this point, and Kurt couldn't go anywhere else.
'Listen Kurt-
'I don't want to hear what you have to say Blaine! I don't give a fuck'
'Kurt I don't know what happened, we were both drunk and he started saying all this stuff, and I don't know-
'Leave me alone Blaine'
'No' Blaine replied.
'No? LEAVE ME ALONE BLAINE.'
'I promised you I wouldn't leave you' Blaine screamed back, fighting the tears collecting in his eyes.
'YOU KISSED HIM. AFTER EVERYTHING, BLAINE. YOU KISSED HIM' Kurt screamed, he could barely control his anger, he ran up to Blaine and started
punching him in the chest, and in between sobs he started screaming, 'I TRUSTED YOU. YOU SAID' his breath caught in his throat, 'I THOUGHT YOU LOVED ME.
I LOVED YOU'
Blaine grabbed Kurt's wrists, and held him. 'I do love you, Kurt, fuck, I do, I love you so much.'
'You're a liar' Kurt sobbed, and fell to the floor.
Blaine knelt beside him, 'Kurt, I can't explain it. I don't love him, it's just.. he was there and I was upset and I missed you-
'Don't' Kurt begged, 'I don't want to hear about it'
Blaine held Kurt in his arms, until Kurt started to calm down.
'I need to get out of here' Kurt sighed, getting up.
'You can't drive like this Kurt, stay here. My dorm hasn't been let out yet, Wes will give me the key.'
'I don't want to see you right now.'
Blaine grimaced, even though he knew he deserved it.
'I'll leave once you're in the room'

---

Kurt sat down on the bed, as Blaine came back into the room with pyjama's he'd borrowed from Wes.
'Look Kurt, I'm sorry. I know this will take a while for us to get over, but I'm not giving up.'
Kurt laughed darkly, 'What gives you the right?' his voice was quiet, as if he was tired of shouting.
'This is over Blaine. I can't have my heart broken again.'
'You're breaking up with me?' Blaine asked, his voice breaking.
'Remember how much it hurt when you walked in on Sebastian cheating on you? Think about what you've just done to me.'
Up until that moment, Blaine hadn't actually realised that he had just done to Kurt what Sebastian had done to him.
'Oh god, Kurt I'm so sorry.' Blaine broke down, and started sobbing.
'You need to leave now' Kurt stood up and walked towards the door.
'I can't- I need to be with you Kurt, please don't do this' Blaine sat on the bed and put his head in his hands, 'I don't know what
I'll do without you, please don't do this. Kurt I'm begging you please.'
Kurt shut the door, and knelt in front of Blaine.
'You did this Blaine. You said you loved me, and then you kissed him. What am I supposed to do?' Kurt sighed, looking up and seeing Blaine's
shoulders shaking with each sob.
'Let me show you how much I love you. Give me a chance.'
Kurt didn't know what to do. It was all too much.
'You can stay here tonight, but as of right now we're not together.'
Blaine laid back on the bed and sobbed.
'Come here.' Kurt sighed, laying down next to him, and putting his arm around Blaine. As much as Kurt hated Blaine right now, he still loved him.
Kurt realised how ridiculous that was, but he knew he wouldn't stop loving Blaine, even if he couldn't be with him.
'You don't have to do this' Blaine said.
'We may not be together right now, but I still care about you.'
Kurt tightened his grip around Blaine, a sighed into the crook of his neck.
'I missed you too, by the way. That's why I drove up here.'
Blaine turned to face Kurt, and smiled sadly.
'I knew this would happen. I knew I'd break us. It was too perfect, you' he looked up to Kurt, 'you were too perfect. I never get the happy ending.'
'You haven't broken us.' Kurt whispered.
'But you just broke up with me.'
'I can't be with you right now, not like that. But I don't tell someone I love them, and then leave at the first chance. I don't know if I can forgive
you, but I have to at least try.'
