Once they’d got to Kurt’s, Kurt made them hot chocolate and told Blaine to go downstairs and pick out a film.

‘Can we watch It’s Kind Of A Funny Story? I’ve never seen it?’ Blaine shouted up the stairs.

Kurt picked up the mugs and walked down the stairs, ‘It’s really good, I think you’ll like the soundtrack’ he walked over to Blaine and handed him one of the mugs. Kurt sat down on the bed, and crossed his legs.

‘What’s it about?’ Blaine asked, putting the disk into the player.

‘This guy wants to kill himself, and he’s goes to this unit and stuff happens’ Kurt explained.

‘Sounds depressing’ Blaine sat down on the bed and put his arm around Kurt.

‘It is actually quite uplifting, give it a chance’

As the movie played, Kurt and Blaine shifted closer to one another until finally Kurt was lying down with his head on Blaine’s chest, as Blaine sat with his back against the headboard. Blaine was running his fingers through Kurt’s hair. Kurt had watched this film a couple of times, he didn’t know why but he just loved it - so he didn’t feel too bad when he shut his eyes.

‘You’re right, I love the songs in this.’ Blaine mumbled, ‘Kurt?’ Blaine looked down and realised quickly that Kurt was in fact asleep. Kurt’s mouth was slightly parted and his eyebrows furrowed, which told Blaine that Kurt was dreaming. As the movie ended, Blaine just let the credits roll because well he wasn’t going to move, he wanted to stay in this moment for as long as he could. So he did, for about 10 minutes before his phone rang beside him. He leant over, trying not to wake Kurt and picked it up off the bedside table. ‘Hello?’ Blaine answered, relieved at the fact Kurt was still asleep on his chest.

‘It’s lovely to hear your voice again, B.’

Sebastian. Blaine hung up and threw his phone across the room, the noise startled Kurt who sat bolt upright ‘What-i’m up. what’s going on?’ Kurt’s mumbled, clearly still not completely awake. Kurt turned around, ‘Blaine’ he smiled.

‘I thought you might have forgotten I was here.’ Blaine laughed softly, as Kurt settled back into his previous position on Blaine’s chest.

‘Sorry. I didn’t mean to fall asleep, it’s just your chest makes for a very good pillow’ Kurt looked up to Blaine, ‘Did you like the movie?’

‘I did. Considering it’s about depression and stuff, it’s really quite lovely’

Blaine’s phone started ringing from the other side of the room, Kurt went to get up and go and get Blaine’s phone.

‘Leave it’ Blaine said, pulling Kurt back down, ‘It’s probably that arse again’

‘Sebastian?’ Kurt asked, knowing immediately who Blaine was talking about.

‘Yup. He called a minute ago, I just hung up. He’s such a- a-‘

‘Massive penis? Complete idiot? Annoying brat?’ Kurt offered, smiling.

‘Yes. He’s all of those things.’ Blaine ran his fingers through Kurt’s hair once again, ‘Anyway let’s not talk about him.’ Kurt sighed against Blaine’s chest, before moving up the bed to sit next to his boyfriend.

‘Let’s not’ Kurt said softly before leaning in to kiss his boyfriend. Blaine wasn’t expecting it, so didn’t respond for a while. Kurt brought his hand up to Blaine’s face, and moved some of his stray curls behind his ear. Blaine deepened the kiss quickly, and moved so that he was straddling Kurt’s waist.

‘I could do this forever’ Kurt mumbled against Blaine’s lips.

‘That sounds like a good idea. Let’s do that.’ Blaine leaned in again, capturing Kurt’s lips beneath his own.

Neither of the boys could tell you why, but about 5 minutes into this make out session something shifted. The kisses became more needy and desperate, as Kurt clawed at Blaine’s back, and Blaine moved even closer to Kurt. Kurt moved to sit up straighter, and realised quite quickly, that Blaine was hard. Blaine moaned softly at the friction, and grinded down, and Kurt realised oh hey, he was hard too. This continued for a while, until Blaine pulled back, ‘We should cool off’ he mumbled, running his hands through his hair. His lips red and puffy from kissing, and his eyes bright with lust.

‘Why?’ Kurt asked.

‘W-well, I don’t- aren’t we moving too quickly?’ Blaine asked.

‘Too quickly?’ Kurt repeated, ‘No, in fact we are moving far too slowly’ Kurt laughed, pulling Blaine back down on top of him.

After her meddling, Rachel felt quite guilty, so when she saw Blaine walk out of the car on Monday morning, straight over to Kurt and kiss him, she couldn’t help but smile, and feel very relieved. She’d come to realise the only reason she didn’t want them dating was because she didn’t want them to break up. But after seeing how upset Blaine was when he thought, just for a moment, that Kurt didn’t love him, she decided it was better for him to be happy and in love for a while, then for him to be heartbroken already.

Kurt and Blaine walked into school, early as usual, holding hands. They both went to the canteen and bought themselves a large coffee, and Blaine bought himself a bacon sandwhich.

‘Really, Blaine? Bacon? Get an apple or porridge or something’ Kurt complained.

‘Well, I woke up late because I over slept. Because somebody’ He turned round and poked Kurt playfully in the chest, ‘kept me talking on the phone until 2 in the morning. So yes, a bacon sandwhich’

The rest of the day passed quite quickly, Kurt and Blaine had French and then their free together. Kurt had bought Blaine the ‘It’s Kind Of A Funny Story’ soundtrack, which earned him a huge smile and a kiss. Lunch was spent, weirdly enough, in the canteen with the rest of the Glee kids. Rachel insisted, so Kurt and Blaine were sitting at the table at the back of the canteen. Kurt had his arm around Blaine, and kissed him lightly on the neck. Lunch consisted of snide comments made by Puck, and embarassing stories told by Finn, and Rachel telling them how happy she was for them.

As Lunch ended, Kurt and Blaine walked hand in hand, out of the back of the canteen, in their attempt to avoid the jocks.

Their attempt was futile, as they turned the corner of the canteen building, they could see Dave Karofsky standing at the entrance to the school. Blaine froze next to Kurt, ‘Hey just keep walking, avoid eye contact okay? I’m going to let go of your hand though, it’s just easier’ Kurt explained.

Kurt walked with determination, and Blaine followed.

‘Oh look, it’s the cute couple’ Karaofsky smirked.

‘Leave it Dave’ Kurt warned trying to walk past him, but he couldn’t when Dave stepped in front of him.

‘What was that faggot?’ Dave asked, ‘Don’t tell me what to do… Is this your butt buddy, I don’t think we’ve been introduced. I’m Dave’ He smirked, nodding towards Blaine.

‘Kurt let’s just go’ Blaine murmured, taking Kurt’s hand and trying to walk around Dave. The sight of Blaine taking Kurt’s hand infuriated Karaofsky, and he didn’t even hesistate to push Blaine to the ground.

‘Stay away from me fags’ Karaofsky warned, before heading into the school.

Kurt inhaled, and turned round quickly and dropped to his knees.

‘Blaine are you okay?!’

‘I’m fine Kurt, leave it’ Blaine stood up, and rubbed the dust of his legs.

‘He’s such an imbecile. I thought we’d avoid him-‘

‘Kurt, I said leave it okay?’ Blaine picked up his bag and walked into the school, leaving Kurt completely confused and alone outside the building.

Blaine walked straight into the men’s toilet, into a cubicle, and fell to the floor. All the fears he had about being bullied again just came true. So far, he’d lived in the happy bubble of Glee club, where he was accepted, more importantly where his relationship with Kurt was not only accepted but celebrated. He’d honestly forgotten that there were people who didn’t feel the same.

Blaine knew he shouldn’t of left Kurt, but he also couldn’t be with him right now. Because Kurt would want to comfort him, and he didn’t deserve that. He’d been such a coward, Kurt stood up to Karaofsky, whereas Blaine just tried to run away. Blaine let his head drop into his hands, and the tears fall. The whole reason he’d transferred to McKinley was to stand up to his oppressors, to be proud for who he was. He shouldn’t of let Kurt let go of his hand, he shouldn’t of tried to run. He was so ashamed of himself. He’d let Kurt down, and he’d let himself down.

‘Blaine?’

A voice from inside the bathroom made Blaine lift his head up. Kurt. Of course Kurt would come looking for him.

‘I can’t talk right now Kurt, I’m sorry. I just-‘

‘Don’t worry. You don’t need to explain. Just… When you want to talk, I’m here okay?’

‘Okay’ Blaine’s voice cracked, as he started sobbing.;

‘Look Blaine, I know you’re probably scared, and it’s like history is replaying itself. But I’m really proud of you okay? And I- I know what you’re like, so please don’t take this out on yourself okay. But please don’t’ Kurt stumbled over his words, ‘Please don’t shut me out okay? Because I need you too’

Blaine could hear footsteps leaving the bathroom and a door opening and closing. He didn’t deserve Kurt. Kurt, who understood everything without needing to be told, and who was proud of him even when he acted like such a coward. Blaine pulled his knees to his chest, and just let himself cry.

Blaine just sat there and thought, ‘I need you more than you could possibly imagine’.
