"He -- He's been kidnapped, Kurt."
Kurt stared at him in disbelief.
"No -- I -- He's fine -- I just saw him today --" He got to his feet, despite the fact that his legs felt like lead. "He....Dad, please --" he looked at his father pleadingly.
He couldn't say anymore -- his voice was shaking so badly he couldn't get what he wanted to out.
Burt grabbed him and held him tightly.
It was then that the countertenor broke down, sobbing into his shoulder.
Neither father nor son moved for what seemed like an eternity. Then, Kurt pulled back and grabbed his car keys.
"I'm going to the Anderson's," he said, wiping his eyes on the back of his hand. "I -- I need to --"
"Put your keys on the table." Burt said softly.
The look Kurt gave him was stony, challenging.
"Dad." he said.
"You're not going, we both are." said his father calmly. "and I'm driving, so put your keys on the table, Kurt."
Kurt threw his keys on the table perhaps more forcefully than he meant to. Then he followed his father out to his own car, and they left.

Cooper sighed and made his way silently down the hallway, hoping not to wake his now six-year-old brother. He was just getting home from hanging out with his best friend Danny, and he knew that at nine his brother was most likely in bed.
"C-Coo?"
Huh. Apparantly not.
When Cooper stuck his head into his little brother's bedroom, he saw Blaine sitting on top of his Spiderman comforter, in his bright blue pajamas, curls everywhere. He was holding his stuffed teddy bear tightly in his arms.
"Hey Blainey, shouldn't you be asleep bud? You've got school in the morning." he said, smiling at the child.
"C-Can't sleep." Blaine said in a small voice. "N-Nightmare."
Cooper's face fell. Blaine didn't have many nightmares anymore -- but the ones he did have were horrible.
"I'm sorry Blainey," he murmured, moving to sit down on the bed and opened his arms. Blaine was on his lap in seconds. "Bad?"
Blaine didn't say anything. He just pressed his cheek hard against the teenager's chest and cried.
"Oh Blaine." Cooper's voice cracked and he fought back tears as he tried to comfort his little brother.
Three years free of their mother and both of them were still trying to forget it. The teenager doubted they ever would completely.
He held his brother until he felt him go still, his breathing slowing, evening out; until he slept.
Cooper hadn't moved from his brother's room. He'd been there since the cops had left. In his arms he held Blaine's old stuffed bear.
All my fault...
"Coop?" he rolled over on the bed to see his grandmother standing in the doorway. "How's your hand?"
He glanced down at his bandaged knuckles.
"Stings." he muttered.
"Honey, Kurt and his father are here."
Oh God. Cooper thought. What am I supposed to say to Kurt?
He got up slowly and placed the bear back on his brother's plaid bedspread before heading downstairs.
---
Blaine opened his eyes. His head was killing him, his neck felt sore, and he couldn't really move his legs or arms.
"Jenna what the hell is wrong with you?! You kidnapped him?!"
"Shut up, damn it! Why are you even here?! You said you wanted nothing to do with this!"
"I came to make sure you didn't do anything stupid and you did! What the hell are you even trying to accomplish?!"
The teen shifted around for a moment, determining that he was lying on a bed, and the voices he could hear were that of his mother and...oh God, his father....
Without thinking, he rolled over and emptied his stomach all over the comforter.
"Ahh shit he's awake!" yelled Jenna, "and he just ruined the bed. Dammit!" she lunged but Thomas caught her around the waist.
Blaine waited until he'd dragged Jenna into the bathroom to calm down before he started crying.

HANDS OFF MY KLAINE JENNA.
How terrifying to see the stuff of his nightmares right in front of him in real life! What is she going to do to Blainers? Cooper must be so distraught -he's so used to being able to protect his little brother, but now Blaine is completely at that crazy woman's mercy, and Cooper isn't there stop it. It must be driving him crazy! Kurt too, of course. I wonder where Blaine's dad fits into all this.
This is really really good. Poor Blaine. And Coop. More soon please.
