Hey guys, so we're ending this fiction on the nice round number of 50. I can't believe so many of you are still here. Thank you for all of the support and constructive criticism, I can't remember having one bad review about this fiction which is a first, so thanks again. I might start a new fiction soon so keep an eye out for more if you're interested. If not I hope you enjoyed Kurt and Blaine's journey, and I apologise for all the delays, but this is extra extra long for you all. I can't thank you all enough, so again, thank you :)
All my love

P.s. Kieran, I completely agree with you. I apologise for letting my imagination get carried away with me. Thank you for still sticking with it despite of that!

Kurt blinked at the man a few times, trying to see past the unruly amount of thick untamed hair that covered his face and head. Could his sweet sweet Blaine really be hidden under all of it?
"Blaine?"
The man smiled, "Hey," his voice was deeper than he remembered, and his brown eyes weren't half as bright as they used to be.
Kurt's eyes lingered on the man for a second longer before he took a step back and called to his right, "Let him in! Open the gates."
"Sir, are you sure?" The guard asked.
The man's appearance definitely didn't look like someone who would be invited into the Palace in the Kings company.
"Are you questioning me?"
Wow. That sounded like his dad.
"Of course not," the guard flustered about with the lock to let the filthy man in.
Blaine stepped inside and Kurt took him by the arm, "Leave us," he demanded to the surrounding staff, "Blaine, come with me."
Kurt marched across the courtyard, tugging Blaine along with him at a furious speed.
"Woah, where's the fire? I just got home, I'd like to savour this moment," Blaine exclaimed, being forced to jog beside the King's long stride.
Kurt came to a sudden halt as they reached inside, "What are you doing here?" He hissed.
"What does that mean?"
Kurt stared at him, "You're...you're dead, you're not meant to be here."
Blaine flinched back, "Kurt, I..."
"I'm married. My Dad died, where the hell were you during all this?" Kurt accused, "I thought you were dead, I grieved for you, I said goodbye and you think you can just turn up here looking like that and expect it to be like you never went away. I woke up and you were gone. It's been years!"
Blaine looked at the floor, "I know, " he mumbled quietly.
Kurt sighed and dragged his hand through his hair, "Come on."
Blaine followed Kurt up the stairs silently to the bathroom where the King grabbed some clean clothes and turned on the shower. Once Blaine was clean he sat him down in the chair and began cutting off the curls and shaving his beard, bit by but the man he really knew as his....ex, was revealed looking older and sheepishly smiling. Kurt's heart rate quickened.
"That's better," Kurt announced.
Blaine gave a timid, "Thank you."
"Go and pick a room to sleep in," Kurt crouched and started cleaning up the hair, "you can have whichever you'd like."
"I can help clean up...." Blaine offered, lingering in the doorway.
"Just go, Blaine please. Let me get my head around this," Kurt bit back tears.
Blaine frowned, walking over and dropping to his knees beside the King, "I can leave if you'd like."
"I don't want you to leave, I just...," Kurt sighed and found himself resting his head on Blaine's shoulder like it was the most natural thing in the world, like he'd never been away.
"Just what?" Blaine whispered, pressing a kiss to the top of the King's head.
"I'm so angry at you," Kurt growled, "and confused too."
"I can explain everything, " Blaine promised.
Kurt nodded, "but not now, I'll get someone to come and tidy this up, and I need to talk to my husband. "
Blaine gave his own slow nod, "Okay, I'll go and get settled...Kurt, I never meant to hurt you."
Kurt forced a smile as Blaine helped him to his feet, "I know, I'll find you later okay?"
Blaine kissed the back of Kurt's hand before he left, making him blush and giggle like he hadn't in a long time.
The King watched Blaine walk away, the same as he always had been apart from a slightly more mature jawline and lifelines around his mouth. He guessed that life had worn the Slave down just as it had done to him.
After standing in the doorway for a few minutes he remembered what he was meant to be doing and set off back down to his father's office. After being transported back in time by Blaine it was strange to see Hayes sitting with his feet up on the desk flipping through pages and page of work.
He looked up and smirked, "You took your time. I missed your pretty face," he winked.
"Don't," Kurt's breathing was ragged.
"What's wrong?" Hayes caught onto the mood of the King and sat up straight, "Are you okay?"
"Yes...No....I don't know," Kurt burst into tears and ran towards Hayes who immediately opened his arms so the younger of the royals could be cradled like a child.
After such a long time together Hayes could read Kurt like a book. He held him to his chest, letting him soak the fabric of his shirt in tears filled with salt and fear. He waited until it turned to soft sniffling before he spoke.
"What happened? Who was it?"
"Blaine. Blaine is back."
"As in your lover Blaine?" Hayes asked, stroking Kurt's hair, surprise filling his voice.
The other King nodded.
"Well that does cause a bit of a problem doesn't it?"
Kurt chewed his lip miserably.
"I'm here for you Kurt," The older king promised firmly, like he was telling himself as well as Kurt.
"You're not mad?"
"Of course not, it's not your fault. But...I guess you don't want to be romantic anymore?" Hayes blushed.
"I thought you didn't anyway."
"I said I'd try it," Hayes reminded him.
"That makes it sound like you don't want to. It makes me sound pathetic," The blue eyed man complained.
"You're not pathetic, far from it, " Hayes kissed Kurt's cheek.
"So you want to?"
"Recently I've had....feelings of sorts."
"That makes things even more complicated, " Kurt mumbled, curling into Hayes chest.
"I know, I'm sorry. "
"I'm sorry too."

"Blaine?"
"Cassy?"
"You...you're alive," Cassy mumbled, pausing while shoveling snow.
Blaine laughed, "Is that okay?"
"Yes...I, I mean," she laughed, "Yeah its fine."
Blaine raised an eyebrow, "Are you okay?"
She forced a strangled laugh, "Of course, I've got...work to do so....see you later. "
Blaine put his hand on her arm, "Cas what...?"
"D-Don't touch me, geez. What are you trying to kill me-" She stopped short, her face turning a pale green at her words before she pulled herself out of his light grasp and ran across the garden.
Blaine watched her leave, having not felt this confused in a long time, "Well that was weird," he muttered to himself.
He looked up at the sky. It was looking to be another crisp, cold night and Kurt still hadn't come to see him. At least he would be able to sleep in a proper bed for once in familiar surroundings, it sure beat the floor...or a inn if he had been lucky. He couldn't remember the last time he'd felt at home after the years that he'd been away from Kurt. but just the color of his eyes had made it feel like he'd never been away. It broke his heart to know he was too late, he wasn't stupid, Kurt had married the Hayes guy for the good of the kingdom. He couldn't properly be king without being married and the whole kingdom knew they had never really been romantic with one another. Kurt had done what was best for the kingdom rather than himself, you couldn't say he was a bad ruler, but it meant that the chances of Blaine's plan to work his way back to Kurt was looking pointless. Maybe Kurt would let him live here and they could still be friends? Blaine couldn't imagine living anywhere else.
After another stroll of the garden Blaine got too cold and decided to go back inside, he almost started on the route to Kurt's bedroom as a reflex but then remembered he'd be sleeping alone tonight and turned left with a heavy feeling in his heart. His room was the smallest he could find, he didn't want a large room, it just made him feel more empty and alone without anyone to share it with. He took off his clothes and had another shower, needing the warmth for his numb toes and the stress on his shoulders.

"Kurt?"
"Hmm?"
"Please just keep still," Hayes grumbled, burying deeper into the mattress.
Kurt sighed, a biting annoyance in his voice, "I'm sorry, I can't sleep."
"Then go and talk to him...or whatever you need to do."
Kurt blushed, "Hayes!"
"What? I'm not stupid, he's a good looking guy and you love him."
"But...what about you?" Kurt whispered, rolling over to face his husband.
Hayes stared back, tracing Kurt's face with his hand, "Don't worry about me."
Kurt shook his head, "Hayes, I...I like you."
"I like you too, but you love him."
"What if he's changed? What if I changed?" Kurt asked, "What if we hate each other now?"
"I really don't think that will happen. But you'll never know unless you go and talk to him."
"I can't, not until...I know's there no...anything between us like that," Kurt admitted, "Or I'll be thinking about what could have happened for the rest of my life."
Hayes sat up and maneuvered onto his knees.
"What are you doing?" Kurt blushed as Hayes straddled his crossed legs.
"Exactly what you want," Hayes replied, ducking down and pressing kisses to Kurt's neck.
Kurt shuddered, his hands locking in the back of Hayes hair in instinct. Hayes kissed each of Kurt's cheeks before placing a light one to the Royal's lips, he hesitated, giving Kurt a chance to stop him before he kissed him more forcefully. Kurt kissed back with the same passion, letting out a squeak of surprise when Hayes became even more forceful, sliding his hands up Kurt's thighs and sucking his lower lip.
"Well?" Hayes pulled away, breathing heavily.
Kurt blinked blankly at him, "I...Urgh...It was nice."
"Really? Just nice? Damn I really giving you all I've got there," Hayes was smiling, a teasing twinkle in his eyes.
Kurt blushed, "What? No I just...."
"Kurt, relax. You're great but...I don't know, it's just weird kissing your best friend," he shrugged.
Kurt looked at the mattress, "Are we still that?"
"Still what?"
"Friends?"
Hayes laughed, "Of course. Now, like the good friend I am, I'm going to give you some relationship advice okay?"
Kurt stared back at him in shock.
"Go and talk things out with Blaine, I'm not going to be upset or mad. Infact I'd be really happy for you if you worked things out," Hayes reassured him, "We never really had a marriage anyway. That was the third time we've kissed in the entire time we've known one another. At our wedding, this morning when I was still drunk off sleep, and now. I think if something was going to happen between us it would have surfaced by now. I'm more than happy to just be your friend. Myself, you and Blaine can all work it out together. Just think of yourself for once and not the kingdom, because they know that we don't love each other like that, and if they knew Blaine had returned they'd want you back together in a heart beat."
Kurt was grinning without realising, "Hayes...thank you, I....thank you," Kurt laughed, wrapping his arms tightly around his friends neck.
Hayes hugged him back, "I don't want to ruin the moment, because I don't think I've ever heard you laugh like that, but...I can't breathe."
Kurt pulled away, flustered and blushing, "Of course, I'm sorry."
Hayes rolled his eyes fondly, "Go and get him."
Kurt blushed even deeper, "Okay."

Blaine had just managed to doze off into a guilty sleep when he heard a light and hesitant, rat-tat-tat-tat, on his door. He rubbed his eyes and rolled over so to get a look at the intruder.
"It's open."
The oak swung open more violently than Blaine or the man on the other side expected and they both jumped, letting out a little nose of alarm.
Blaine recognised it immediately, "Kurt?"
"Hey," Kurt walked in, Blaine noticed with a frown he was wearing the shirt that Hayes had been wearing when he saw him earlier in the day along with some sweat pants. He had to hide behind a shrub so he wasn't seen by his competition.
"Can I help you?"
Kurt, who had before been excited and confident after Hayes motivational speech, looked a little taken back by the formality in Blaine's voice and immediately straightened his posture in response, "I...I know it's late but I was, I was wondering if we could talk? Please?"
Blaine hesitated. He didn't want the, "I'll always love you but I'm married now" speech. He knew that already without having to have Kurt stab him in the heart.
"Unless you're tired," Kurt backtracked, panic in his voice, "I'm sorry, I woke you, I shouldn't have come down here so late, I..." he turned to leave.
"No, no don't go," Blaine heard himself saying, "Please don't go."
"Okay," Kurt whispered walking further into the room, he paused, standing by the bed and greatly put off by the uncomfortable atmosphere.
"Sit down," Blaine patted the bed and the King perched awkwardly on the edge.
Silence fell.
"I'm sorry about your Dad," Blaine finally spoke.
Kurt nodded, "Me too."
"I'm sorry I wasn't here," Blaine looked straight into Kurt's eyes with nothing but regret and suddenly Kurt felt tears rolling down his cheeks.
"I needed you," He accused, but it came out as a broken squeak.
Blaine pulled him back further onto the bed so he could hold him, "I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry."
"Sorry doesn't change the fact that I was alone," Kurt pushed him off and crawled to the other side of the mattress, putting a pillow between the two.
"I know," Blaine started crying too, "I wish I could change it, I die inside everytime I think about how much I let you down. I'm so sorry, Kurt . I.... I know you must hate me but you have know you could never hate me as much as I hate myself."
Kurt blinked in surprise, reaching out for the Slave but then thinking against it and pulling his hands back, "I don't....I don't hate you I just...I don't' know," Kurt blurted out, "I don't hate you."
Blaine looked surprised, "You don't?"
"No, I don't' think I ever could," Kurt admitted.
"You looked pretty pissed off this morning," Blaine grumbled.
"There's a difference between hating you and being in a state of shock and anger."
Silence.
"Does Hayes know you're here?"
"Yes, he sent me."
"Oh, well...that's good of him."
"Yes, he's a good man."
"I don't doubt it."
Silence.
"So you're a King now, huh?"
"Er, yeah."
"You always used to doubt yourself so much, now look at you," Blaine gave a sort of sad chuckle at old memories that filled his mind.
"I still do," Kurt admitted, "Not that anyone knows. I just pretend I have a clue about what I'm doing."
"You're doing great," Blaine reassured him.
"Thank you."
Silence.
"Are you just going to sit there all night?" Blaine asked, regretting the words as soon as he'd said them.
"Excuse me?" Kurt snapped.
"Nothing, I didn't mean..."
"You think I'm here to just have sex with you? Is that the only reason you came back?"
"What!" Blaine exclaimed, "Of course not, that's not what I meant."
"What did you mean then?" Kurt huffed.
"I meant emotionally, you're being emotionally distant. If you want to talk you're going to have to open up a tiny bit."
Kurt relaxed, pausing for a second before he nodded, "Okay."
"Are you in love with Hayes?"
"No."
"Does he love you?"
"No."
"So you just married him so you could be a proper King when your Dad passed away?"
A nod.
"Did you miss me?"
Kurt stopped, his voice dropping low, "Every minute of everyday."
"I missed you too."
"Then where the hell were you?" Kurt suddenly exclaimed.
Blaine jumped in surprise and had to stop himself from falling off the bed, he took a deep breath, "It's a long story."
"And I've been waiting even longer than it," Kurt snapped.
Blaine flinched back. These mood swings were ridiculous, not that Blaine could blame him, he couldn't imagine how confused he must be.
"Okay, okay, get comfortable."
Kurt didn't move.
Blaine sighed, "I was kidnapped by the enemy. We were invading a base and these two huge guys came up behind me and dragged me away, no one saw through the commotion of the attack and there was no way I was going to be able to fight them on my own. They knocked me out, threw me in the back of a cart and the next thing I know I'm being dragged out of it and its' night time. I still don't know how long we were travelling but I swear I could smell the sea. They kept me hostage in a tiny house in an even tinier room that I wasn't allowed to leave. I was treated like an animal, they told me I wasn't allowed to leave until I told them how to get into the Palace so they could kill you and your Dad. They gave me barely enough food and water to live on, I slept on a pile of hay in the corner of the room. There were no windows, the floor was wood, the walls were white. The ceiling was low, so low, I swear it got lower every day. I thought I was going to suffocate."
Blaine became breathless and Kurt was sobbing into his hands, he threw the pillow on the floor that was separating them and bundled Blaine in his arms, "It's okay, It's okay. You don't have to tell me anymore."
"No, I owe you an explanation," Blaine gritted his teeth and took a deep breath before he continued, "I kept waiting for them to beat me up, torture me. But then I realised they already were. I could feel myself being driven mad by solitude and hunger, I couldn't even remember what it felt like to breathe fresh air. I must have been trapped there for almost two years."
Kurt held him tightly, needing to feel that Blaine was safe in his arms.
"One night I noticed they'd forgotten to lock my door before they slept, so I snuck out. I can still remember how hard my heart was beating. I got out the front door and I ran as fast and as long as I could. Just as the sun was coming up I collapsed, I must have slept for a few days. I was still starving and exhausted and I woke up red from sunburn. I crawled as far as I could and came across a lake where I could wash and drink, everything was so bright after being trapped in doors for so long. It felt like heaven to have cool water washing over me. I found some edible berries and ate as many as I could find before I continued walking, I just knew I had to get back to you. I walked for a week, living off whatever I could find, and finally I came to a town where an old women took me in. She fed me up and nursed the blisters on my feet. I tried to write to you but the Kingdom wouldn't let you have anything, it was too risky I guess with everyone after you. I told the women where I was trying to get to but she said I owed her something first for her kindness, but I had no money. It turned out she wanted me to marry her daughter who must have been at least fifty herself, I explained to her I was in love with someone else, a man, and she kicked me out screaming abuse at me, saying what was wrong with me I...I..."
Kurt shushed him, "It's okay. It's gone, you're okay," He rocked Blaine back and forth.
Blaine shuddered, "I tried to get a job but the women must have told everyone I was...,anyway they wouldn't give me a job and I had to live on the streets again. After a few weeks I realised I wasn't going to get anywhere in the town, they were so homophobic there. So I left and wondered for miles and miles to the next village where I was able to get a job of cleaning stables for next to nothing. After another year I managed to save up enough for a cart ride to a town just away from the Kingdom, but I got mugged and it was all stolen from me. I cried so hard I couldn't breathe, I thought I was going to die because my whole body had just given up about ever getting back to you. But something snapped inside me and I just stood up and started walking. I walked and I walked and I walked, managed to get enough money every now and then to get a cart ride for a few miles before I was walking again."
"And now you're here?" Kurt asked, kissing Blaine's forehead like he was a small child.
Blaine nodded, "Now I'm here."
Kurt wiped the tears that had escaped from Blaine's eyes and he re-lived the tale and Blaine wiped away Kurt's, "I love you, so much," Kurt whispered.
Blaine gulped, "I love you too. I'm sorry I took so long to get back here."
Kurt shook his head, "Don't you dare, don't you dare apologise."
"Sorry."
"What did I just say?"
Blaine blushed.
"I still have nightmares about them finding me," Blaine whispered, "the men. About them dragging me back to that room, I...I....," more tears poured down his cheeks.
"Shhh," Kurt rocked him again, "Shh, please. I'm sorry, I'm so sorry. But you're safe now. And this time I've never letting you go."
Blaine sniffed, "You've said that before."
"Blaine," Kurt gasped, heartbroken.
Blaine shrugged, "Please just don't leave me alone tonight. The nightmares..."
"Okay," Kurt agreed, forcing a smile through more tears.
"How...how is this going to work?"Blaine asked, "Me and you and Hayes?"
"I don't know yet," Kurt admitted, "I don't care. I just can't believe it's you."
"Me neither," Blaine smiled softly, reaching up and tracing Kurt's features delicately like they were precious stone.
"I'm sorry I was angry."
"I would have been too, thank you for letting me explain."
"I always will."
Blaine pulled his hand back, "Can we please go to sleep?"
"Of course," Kurt agreed, suddenly realising how tired he was.
"What about Hayes?" Blaine asked as the two climbed under the covers together, cuddling close.
"Don't worry, he's fine with everything," Kurt sighed, snuggling down and closing his eyes.
Blaine did the same, "I love you."
"I love you too."
Blaine had no nightmares for the first time in all the years he was apart from his soul mate.
Xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
When Kurt woke up Blaine was staring at him. He blushed when he noticed the King looking at him and pretended he was looking at the books on the other side of the room.
Kurt laughed, "Good morning," he whispered.
Blaine smiled, "Good morning," he replied quietly.
"GOOD MORNING!"
Kurt gave a yell of surprise and Hayes burst into the room, "What the hell are you doing?"
"I brought the happy couple breakfast in bed," Hayes practically sung.
"You're in a good mood," Blaine noted, sitting up and strangely not feeling anything negative towards the man.
Hayes laughed, "I am, I slept like a baby," he exclaimed, "Kurt here is the biggest blanket hogger I've ever met and I had a whole bed to myself last night. Besides, I come bearing good news as well as coffee and bacon."
"Bacon?" Blaine groaned, his mouth already watering.
Hayes put the tray on the end of the bed, "Tada, help yourselves."
"Are you joining us?" Blaine asked, looking up through a mouth full of toast.
"Of course, I said there was bacon didn't I?" Hayes winked, sitting on the edge of the bed and grabbing an apple, "An apple a day keeps the doctor away," he recalled, "but if the doctors cute then screw the fruit."
Blaine laughed, "Agreed."
"He says that everytime he eats an apple," Kurt rolled his eyes.
"And you can't go agreeing with me,"Hayes looked at Blaine playfully, "You're taken."
"So are you technically," Blaine reminded him.
Hayes shrugged and crunched into his apple.
"Forget that, what was the news?" Kurt sighed, sipping his coffee.
"The whole Kingdom know Blaine is back."
"What? How?"
"I don't know."
"I bet it was the guard...," Kurt trailed off.
"What are they saying?"
"They're all ecstatic," Hayes revealed, "They're practically arranging the wedding between them."
"What about you?" Blaine asked.
Hayes shrugged, "I quite like it here, so if I was allowed a room I'd be very greatful. I...I actually have something to admit."
Kurt narrowed his eyes, "What?"
"I'm...I'm not one hundred percent gay."
"What do you mean?"
"I can...bend the other way too," Hayes explained, "And me and Kate have...been getting pretty close."
Kurt's jaw dropped, "Does she know you made out with me last night?"
"What?" Blaine cried.
"Relax, we were just testing something," Hayes reassured Blaine, "And Kate and I aren't really 'together' together, but...now that Blaine's back in it's a definite possibility."
Kurt was quiet for a while before he turned to Blaine, "Blaine Anderson."
Blaine raised an eyebrow, "Yes Kurt Hummel?"
"Would you do the honour of becoming my husband, and King?"
Blaine screwed up his nose, "You all that a proposal? Where's the ring? The fireworks? The dancing fire eaters?"
Kurt blinked, "I...I...I..."
Blaine burst out laughing, "You nut, of course I'll marry you. I should have married you the second I laid eyes on you."
Kurt let out a sigh of relief and was knocked backwards onto the bed by Blaine's body on top of him. The action knocked the breakfast tray onto the floor, coffee spilt, orange juice stained, plates smashed, glasses crashed, bacon, fruit and toast became a mush on the carpet. However neither Kurt or Blaine flinched or stopped from kissing each other desperately.
Hayes rolled his eyes, starting to pick what he could off the floor .When he straightened up color rose to his cheeks, both men were moaning erotically and rubbing frantically against one another. Kurt had his hand under Blaine's shirt and Blaine had his hand in Kurt's sweatpants.
"Urgh, urgh, urgh B-Blaine."
"Kurt, God don't, don't' stop, you're so..."
"OKAY, I'M LEAVING," Hayes yelled to block out the sound.
Neither boys reacted.
Hayes rushed out the room, singing loudly, "LA LA LA LA LA, I CAN'T HEAR ANYTHING INAPPROPRIATE, LA LA LA LA-crap, crap," he smashed into someone.
Cassy lay on the floor, surrounded by all her belongings. Her hair was a mess around her face and her eyes were mad, she was shaking and struggled to pick up her bags.
"Cas, what are you doing?" Hayes raised an eyebrow.
Faint moans could still be heard from down the hall.
"Nothing, I'm nothing I...I...I CAN'T DO IT ANYMORE," She suddenly yelled, jumping to her feet, "I DID IT OKAY? I POISONED THE KING. IT WAS MEANT TO BE BLAINE, I CAN'T LIVE WITH THIS GUILT ANYMORE JUST ARREST ME!"
Hayes stared at her.
"It was fine and now Blaine's back and he's all happy and smiley, how can I look at him and Kurt everyday knowing I was trying to break them up the whole time? How do I look at him knowing I tried to kill him? The guilt is eating me alive, please, just arrest me!"
Hayes blinked a few times, "It was you?"
"Yes, Yes it was me. I'm sorry, I'm so sorry. They made me, the governors made me I...I...I'm a good person, I swear I am," she sobbed hysterically, "I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm so sorry."
XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
"It was really her?" Blaine asked, tears in his eyes.
Kurt held him close, "I'm sorry Sweetie."
"She...she was my best friend," Blaine shook his head in denial.
"She said the governors forced her to do it," Hayes added.
"Was she telling the truth?" Blaine looked hopeful.
Hayes shrugged, "I don't know...to tell you the truth she looked kind of insane."
"What's going to happen to her?" Blaine mumbled into Kurt's shirt.
"She'll get arrested for treason," Kurt said quietly, "But it'll be up to us what happens to her afterwards."
"I just can't believe she did it," Blaine admitted.
"Me neither," Kate wiped tears from her eyes and Hayes wrapped his long arms around her, kissing her softly.
"What do you want to happen?" Kurt asked them both.
"I don't know, I don't think I can...trust her again but...I don't' want anything bad to happen to her," Blaine explained.
Kate nodded in agreement.
"So...we just ban her from the Kingdom, and we can always lift the ban if you feel differently in the future?" Kurt offered.
Blaine nodded, "Okay."
Kate nodded with him.

3 WEEKS LATER
"Would you to stop!" Kurt cried, "This is mine and Blaine's wedding day not yours."
Kate brushed a lock of hair from her face. She'd worn it down for the first time that anyone had ever seen it, Kurt had never known it was so long until this moment. It was long, glossy and flowing. She looked like a Princess from a fairy tale along with her (of all colors) pink poofy dress and ridiculously high heels.
"So makeout with your husband, no one is stopping you," Hayes pointed out, his hand dangerously low on Kate's back.
Kurt shook his head, "You guys are impossible."
"That's why we're a perfect match," Kate winked, "Relax your highness, have some more cake or something."
"Yeeeeah Kurt," Hayes whined like a small child watching his younger sibling getting told off by the parent.
Blaine laughed, "Come and dance with me?"
Kurt smiled at the offer and stood up from the head of the table where the four friends sat. He took Blaine's hand and lead him onto the dancefloor filled to the brim with the Kingdoms people, rich and poor a like. As the two walked on the people divided like a army of ants avoiding a puddle on a days march.
"Did you notice this morning?" Blaine asked as Kurt pulled him close.
"What Sweetie?"
"It was sunny. I think the winter is finally ending."
Kurt smiled, "And we're just beginning."
Blaine sighed, "I've never been this happy."
"Me neither. I can't believe I actually married you," Kurt twirled Blaine around proudly.
Blaine giggled, pulling Kurt against him and chewing his lip sensually, "We can be as loud as we want."
Kurt blushed, "Blaine!"
"What?" The new King chuckled, "It's true."
Kurt smirked fondly, "So are you ready to be King?"
"As long as I'm with you I could rule the entire world," Blaine replied.
"I....I feel like I'm going to explode with happiness and excitement," Kurt told him.
Blaine screwed his nose, "Oh please don't make a mess dear, dear husband of mine. This suit is very expensive."
Kurt snorted, "I know, I brought it."
"That snort wasn't very King like," Blaine tutted playfully.
"Hey, I'm the King, I can do what I want. This is a whole new age, it's our age."
"Age of the slaves?" Blaine asked.
Kurt blinked at him, "We're using that in a speech. But it should be ex-slaves."
Blaine nodded, "Agreed."
Kurt had styled his hair a little taller than usual and Blaine had flatted his down with tiniest amount to make him look a little more Royal at his wedding. Blaine's suit was a deep green with golden trim and a silver chain along the pocket. Kurt's was sky blue with a purple shirt and gold detail on the collar. Their shoes were identical, simple black that Kurt had chosen as they could be re-worn. The theme of the wedding had been the garden, so the deep green grass and skyblue of their suits matched the surroundings perfectly. Flowers filled every space possible, most foods were shaped into trees, flowers or other garden ornaments. In the center of the room was an ice-sculpture of the fountain outside. Everything was perfect.
"Kurt?"
"Yeah?"
"Um...I think Kate and Hayes just knocked over the remains of our wedding cake while trying to continue their...exploration of one another," Blaine winced slightly.
Kurt didn't even look, "How bad is it?"
"They're now licking icing off each other's faces."
"Sometimes I don't even know what to say about those two," Kurt shook his head.
"We should have given them sparkling water instead of wine," Blaine sighed.
Kurt started laughing.
"What?"
"I did."

2 YEARS LATER
"Hayden! Hayden put that down. Please just....no...no not in the pond!" Kurt grabbed the little boy around in the middle just in time for him to stop the book falling into the water, "That's Uncle Blaine's favorite. Why don't you just go and play hide and seek with Tiah for a while okay?"
Hayden struggled in the hold, "Uncle Kurt! Put me down!"
Kurt sighed, "Then stop causing mischief," he set the boy down and watched him run away across the garden to find his younger sister.
"Babe are you okay?" Blaine jogged across the garden, "Are you sure you don't want a hand with these two?"
"No, Hayes said I couldn't look after his children on my own and I'm going to prove him wrong. Besides, if these two really are the heirs to our throne then there's no harm in starting them early," Kurt replied stubbornly.
Blaine laughed and slid his arm around his waist, "Okay Baby, when are they back from visiting Hayes parents?"
"A few hours," Kurt groaned.
Blaine bit back a smirk, "You can tell they're Hayes and Kate's children can't you?"
"It's twice the amount of reckless," Kurt complained.
"I'll tell you what, I'll just watch," Blaine suggested, "I won't help, I'll just supervise...Where are they anyway?"
"Playing hide and seek," Kurt yawned and rubbed his eyes.
"Are you insane! You told them to hide from you? We'd better go and find them before they get into real trouble," Blaine sighed, raking a hand through his hair.
Kurt suddenly realised what he'd done and set off in a run.
Blaine smiled, "Just another day in paradise," he said to himself before following his husband.
The end.
I'd like to dedicate this fiction to Hayden and Tiah who have always been there for me.
