Kurt had only just curled up at the foot of the bed, finally able to let his tears out properly, when there was a soft knock at the door.

"Honey?"

Kurt said nothing, hiding his tears in the comforter beneath him.

"Sweetheart, can I come in?"

Nothing.

A loud sigh came from the other side of the door, "Kurt, I'm so sorry. Please, can I just apologize properly? I have to go back soon and I don't want to leave like this."

"Okay," Kurt replied quietly, just loud enough to Blaine to hear as he wiped his eyes.

The door creaked lightly on his hinges as Blaine walked in, taking one look at Kurt on the bed before he was rushing forward and pulling his husband into his arms.

"I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I didn't mean it I...I'm just so scared Kurt, I don't know what to do," Blaine cried, rocking Kurt back and forth gently in his arms as he few stray tears fell from his husbands blue eyes.

"It's okay," Kurt mumbled, resting his head on Blaine's shoulder, "You were right. I'm sorry."

"No, don't be sorry. I wasn't right, you just want what's best. I just overreacted because...because I'm terrified, Kurt. But I shouldn't have taken it out on you."

The older man let out a breath, "Please quit. Please can we go to the Police?"

"But the money..."

"We'll manage. I'll get a job, I was talking to Rachel about it before anyway," Kurt told him.

Blaine chewed his lip, "But...Broadway."

"I can still work," Kurt shrugged, "There must be a bar or a café or something looking for someone."

"Money's already so tight, I don't' know if it will be enough," Blaine replied.

"We'll make it work," Kurt repeated, "We always do, right?"

Blaine nodded softly, "Right," He mumbled, unconvinced.

"Have a little faith in us, okay? We've managed with no money before, we can do it again. Besides, if we really get stuck, as a last resort, our parents aren't going to let us or their grandchildren starve are they? We're never going to be completely stuck. Plus friends, Rachel and everyone, they'll all lend a hand. We can make it," Kurt pointed out, stroking the back of Blaine's neck softly.

"I hate relying on other people," Blaine grumbled, pressing his forehead to Kurt's, "It make me feel so pathetic."

"There's nothing right with needed a little help, Honey," Kurt whispered, brushing his nose against Blaine's softly, "Just think about all the times we've helped them out, it's just then kind of returning the favor. It doesn't make you any less able."

"But as a last resort."

"As a last resort," Kurt agreed, nodding slightly.

"I should go back, tell him I'll stay on and then we can look into involving the police when I get home, okay?" Blaine mumbled, brushing a lock of hair back from Kurt's face.

"Okay," Kurt agreed, sighing when Blaine stood up away from him, "W-Wait, I love you."

Blaine have a soft smile, "You too."

OXOXOXOXO

When Blaine returned home Kurt was sat on the couch, both Rory and Eva asleep against his shoulders with a blanket draped over the three. Kurt had one arm around Eva and the other was holding the last copy of Vogue that Rachel had let him borrow, his head was rested lightly on top of Rory's as the inquisitive young boy slept.

"Hey baby."

Blaine yawned and kicked off his shoes, "Hm."

"Help me put them to bed?" Kurt asked, closing the magazine and putting it on the coffee table.

Blaine grumbled a reply and rubbed the back of his neck, walking over and picking up Eva softly in his arms while Kurt did the same to Rory. Both children were quickly tucked into bed with a kiss to their foreheads and a soft toy tucked in beside them.

"What did he say?" Kurt asked, closing the bedroom door silently behind them as they made their way back into the living room.

Blaine shrugged and fell onto the couch with a low groan, his head slumping back and his limbs loose.

Kurt bit his lip, "Should we phone the Police....Blaine?"

"Ngh," Blaine turned his head away from him and groaned again.

Kurt sighed, "Baby? Go into the bedroom and lay on your stomach...oh and take off your shirt."

"Ugh, Kurt I'm really not in mood for sex okay?"

Kurt lent down and kissed Blaine's cheek, "That's not what I was planning."

Blaine sighed loudly, "Kurt-"

"Just...do it, okay?"

Blaine huffed as he got to his feet and stumbled to the bedroom while Kurt slipped into the bathroom instead, gathering the bottle he needed before following his husband who was already half sleep, spread out on his stomach with his shirt crumbled in a ball beside him.

"You need to relax," Kurt said softly, putting the bottle next to Blaine's shirt and straddling his husband's thighs, "We're going to work all this out."

"I'm sorry I keep taking things out on you, I don't mean to," Blaine apologized.

"I know...I'm worried about you. You're going to make yourself sick if you keep getting so stressed," Kurt mumbled, opening the bottle and squeezing vanilla scented oil onto his palm.

"I'm fine," Blaine reassured him as Kurt warmed the oil between his hands.

"No you're not," Kurt shook his head and put his hands at the small of Blaine's back before pushing upwards, Blaine letting out a moan as Kurt's fingers pressed against his taut muscles, "Just breathe, relax, I've got you. It's all going to be okay."

"G-God, Kurt, you're so amazing," Blaine sighed, melting into the mattress as Kurt continued massaging the oil into Blaine's tired skin, "How come you always know what I need?"

Kurt smiled, "You're my husband, it's that my job?" He teased, leaning down and pressing a few soft kisses to Blaine's shoulders.

Blaine smiled into the comforter beneath him, "I love you so much."

"I love you too," Kurt smiled back, hushing Blaine at a particularly loud moan, "You'll wake the kids, Baby."

Blaine chuckled, his mood lightening considerably, "Sorry."

Kurt grinned and pressed more kisses to Blaine's shoulders "What did he say?"

"That I'd made the right decision and then gave me more work that I've ever seen in my whole life."

"Aw, Baby. I'm so sorry," Kurt sighed, nuzzling into the back of Blaine's neck as his hands smoothed over his husbands shoulders.

"I kind of expected it," Blaine mumbled, "Didn't make it any less terrible though."

Kurt frowned and sat back up, working the knots out of Blaine's back, "He's such an asshole."

"Hm, agreed," Blaine sighed, melting into Kurt's touch.

"So...Police?" Kurt asked softly.

Blaine nodded softly, "Okay, but...I just...I don't want to be stuck at home all day."

Kurt bit his lip, "What's wrong with that?"

"It's just...I want to do something," Blaine tried to explain.

"I do do something," Kurt whispered, his hands stilling on Blaine's lower back.

"What?...Oh. Oh, Kurt, no that's not...I know you do," Blaine struggled to look at Kurt from his position but soon realized it was impossible and slumped back against the mattress.

Kurt chewed his lip, smoothing his hands over Blaine's back softly before he got up and went to the bathroom to wipe his hands off.

"Kurt, I'm not-"

"Don't," The paler boy walked back in with a shake of his head, carrying a white towel in his hand. He knelt beside Blaine and cleaned his back without a word, throwing the towel across the room when he was done before pulling his mobile from his pocket.

"You do so much, Kurt. You keep me sane, you keep me running, you give me a reason to-"

"I know, I know," Kurt silenced him by holding up his hand while dialing with the other.

"Kurt," Blaine cupped Kurt's cheek, "I love you so much, I don't know what I'd do without you."

"It's okay. I know you didn't mean it that way," Kurt reassured him, lifting the phone to his ear.

Blaine sighed and wipe the oil that he could off his back while watching Kurt nod and reply to the person on the other end of the phone.

"They send you'd have to come in and make an official statement tomorrow and they'd work it out the best plan from there," Kurt hung up and looked over to see Blaine squeezing some of the oil onto his palms.

"Come here," The shorter boy whispered.

Kurt tilted his head to the side, "You should get some rest, you look like crap."

Blaine laughed, "Thanks, you look handsome too."

Kurt pursed his lips, "You know what I mean, get some sleep. I don't need a massage."

"But I want to give you one. Kurt please? I'm not even feeling that tired right now," Blaine pouted.

Kurt hesitated for a second longer before he sighed and pulled off his shirt, "You'll regret it later."

"I never regret spending time with you," Blaine replied softly as Kurt settled in front of him with his legs crossed.

Kurt blushed and looked at his hands folded neatly in his lap, "Remember in the school holidays?"

"We used to go to mine and pretend we were living together in our own place," Blaine recalled with a smile, rubbing the oil around in his hands a bit before he stroked softly down his husbands pale back.

"I guess your parents always being away working did have some advantages," Kurt smiled fondly.

"Hm," Blaine hummed, sliding his hands back up to Kurt's shoulders and kneading gently at the soft flesh.

Kurt sighed, leaning back into Blaine's hands, "Thank-you for this."

Blaine just kissed the back of Kurt's neck in response, "I'm really sorry."

"For what?"

"For treating you like crap recently," Blaine bit his lip and slowed the motions of his hands a little bit as he spoke, "I hate taking things out on your it's just...Ever since I met you I just had this unbelievably strong need to protect you-"

"Protect?" Kurt asked, tensing slightly.

"Hey, no. no I know you don't need protecting, but I just wanted to. I wanted to make you as happy as I possibly could, I didn't really understand it at first but...I'm glad I worked out what all those feelings meant in the end," Blaine's slick hands scooped down Kurt's back and moved over his hips.

I'm glad you did too."

"But that's why I...I mean this makes no sense, but I get angry to you because I can't protect you. I can't make you happy, I want to give you the world but everything just keeps getting in the way, like this stupid job. I don't mean it, and then I feel guilty about making you feel like I don't appreciate you because I do. God Kurt, I promise I do."

Kurt bit his lip, "Blaine I don't need the world, or anything other than you. You should know that."

"I do know that. But that doesn't mean I don't want you to have it," Blaine explained, kneading the muscles of Kurt's back harder.

Kurt breathed out a moan, "Oh, Blaine."

"Shh, you'll wake the kids," Blaine teased, kissing over Kurt's shoulders before his tone became more serious, "I don't know what I'd do if you weren't here. You take such good care of Eva and Rory, honestly I was so scared when we first talked about kids. I knew I wanted to have them but I was just...I don't know, worried I wouldn't do a good job I guess. But when we went to the adoption place and just seeing how you interacted with all of the children there...I wasn't scared anymore because I knew I had you. I still don't know how you put up with all the fighting and the messes and still have time for me when I come home. You're amazing Kurt. What you do is so important and special and I'd be so lost without you with me, we've always done everything together, I've always had your hand to hold and your arms to fall asleep in when I'm scared or stressed. Somehow you just...you just make everything okay."

Kurt's breathing turned a little heavier, "I love you so much."

"I love you too," Blaine smiled, resting his head on Kurt's shoulder and letting out a small yawn.

"Time for bed," Kurt said softly, turning to capture Blaine's lips in a soft kiss.

Blaine smiled as he kissed back, wiping the oil off Kurt's back tenderly when they parted before they shimmed out of their jeans and curled up with each other under the covers.

"Everything's going to be okay you know," Kurt smiled as Blaine pulled him tighter against his chest.

Blaine smiled straight back, brushing a lock of hair back from his husbands face, "Of course it is. I have you don't i?"

"Always."

"Always."
