The Monday before Christmas, Felix Anderson arrives; following a distressed looking Cooper into the house; with a giant grin on his face.
"A good suit and tie, that's all you need." He says to the back of Coopers head. "Get a good suit and tie, land yourself ad nice young lady, and make me some great grandchildren."
Cooper sighs, while rubbing his hand over his face. Mr. Anderson chuckles at the sight before him as he makes his way into the room.
"Dad! Its great to see you, hope Cooper didn't give you any trouble on the way over."
Cooper makes a pained noise and throws his hands into the air. "Me, give him trouble, He wouldn't stop harassing; ME!"
"Wish you would have sent the other boy to pick me up, Charles. This one's loud and rude.'" Felix says with a chuckle.
Cooper shakes his head and makes his way to the stairs, climbing, he yells
"Blaine, better come tell Grandpa Anderson goodbye. I'm going to pummel him with his own suitcase."
Blaine bolts form his room, runs down the stairs, and throws himself at his grandpa.
"Grandpa! You're here sooner than I thought you'd be."
He says pulling back to take in his grandpa. His hair is gelled down to perfection; he's wearing his signature custom tailored Armani Suit, a white button-up, and a purple satin bowtie.
"Figured I better get here before everyone else, don't want to end up on that pull out" He chuckles "Plus," he pauses and yells up the stairs, "It means I can harass Cooper, about me not having great grandchildren yet."
Blaine laughs "Don't hold your breath."
Felix laughs along with him, when he stops he gestures to behind Blaine.
"And who is this?"
Turning around Blaine sees Kurt; he looks extremely uncomfortable, shifting from left to right.
Taking a deep breath and extending his hand, Kurt states "Kurt Hummel, Sir"
"Nice to meet you young man, I'm Felix Anderson, Charles' father."
Kurt relaxes a little, Felix's grip is firm, but his smile is sincere.
"Kurt had been staying with us for a little while, Dad. Actually he's becoming a member of the family." Charles announces.
Felix's smile grows larger, "Well in that case, call me Grandpa, never been fond of Sir."
The kindness causes Kurt to blush and his nerves to worsen.
"Come on, Grandpa I'll show you to your room." Blaine says while grabbing his grandpa's luggage and heading toward the stairs.
Once they get upstairs Grandpa Anderson, pulls Blaine to his side and whispers, "That Kurt sure is a looker. Never been one to judge a man, but I have to say; never seen one that pretty, either."
"I ummmm...I,I mean he, he.....ya" Blaine stammers.
Grandpa Anderson pats him on the back "Your blushing, kid."
Blaine shakes his head and smiles.

Kurt and Blaine walk into the kitchen to her Mrs. Anderson cussing up a storm. The boys look at each other with concern.
"Mom?" Blaine asks cautiously, "Is everything ok?"
Mrs. Anderson sighs, "No, not really. Your Aunt Shirley called to inform me that; our parents have started a strict diet. She emailed me a list of what they will eat and what times they expect it to be served. Then she told me told that instead of driving in from New York, they will all be flying in at 5am. So now I have to go to the store to be sure I have what they can eat and I haven't even started dinner."
Blaine can't help the laughter that ripples through him, "Mom, they do this every year it's like you forget, go to the store. We can order take out for dinner."
"Blaine your Grandpa is here, he's been on the road all day with Cooper. He needs a good home cooked meal, not takeout. I'll just have to figure out how I'm going to do this."
Kurt, who's been taking in Mrs. Anderson's seemly frantic state, decides to be more help than Blaine.
"There is another solution, while you're at the store, I'll start dinner. I'm sure I can have it done for when you return."
"You can cook?" Blaine asks a little confused.
Kurt smile, "Yes, I've been cooking since I could reach the stove. It was that or live off of burnt hungry man dinners. My dad was horrible in the kitchen."
Mrs. Anderson pulls Kurt into a tight hug and kisses his forehead, "You're a life saver, thank you so much."
Blaine starts to retreat into the living room.
"Not so fast, Anderson." Kurt says "if I'm cooking dinner, you're helping."
Blaine chuckles, "Alright, what do you need me to do?"
Kurt goes into a frenzy, he starts pulling things out of the cabinets and refrigerator. He then goes over to the spice rack. Where he bites on his lower lip as he carefully picks out spices. Placing one back and choosing another.
He turns to Blaine suddenly and hands him a knife, "Chop some vegetables for a salad."
Kurt turns away just as quickly and starts putting things in bowls, while adding this and that. Blaine is memorized by the way he gracefully moves around the kitchen. He can't take his eyes off him, its just amazing to watch.
Suddenly Kurt is talking to him; So Blaine shakes his head, "Sorry what was that?"
"I asked if you'd managed to finish chopping those vegetables, food should be done in about 10 minutes."
Blaine looks down and sees that he's managed to do well - nothing at all. "Almost done" he informs and starts at his task with haste.
Mrs. Anderson making her way back into the kitchen has her arms loaded down with grocery bags.
"It smells delicious in here, whatever you've made is bound to be delicious." She announces.
Kurt hummus in agreement as Blaine chuckles. "Well, Mom, I do try."
Kurt making his way to the stove smacks the back of Blaine's head.
"The only way to mess up a salad is to cut a finger off. Thankfully, you've managed to avoid that."
Blaine smiles and shakes his head, "It was a close one though."

During dinner Grandpa Anderson continues to annoy Cooper.
"I'm just wondering why you aren't married yet. A man with your good looks should have a lovely young lady on your arm." Grandpa Anderson rations.
"Haven't met the right girl" Cooper mumbles.
"PHOOY" Grandpa Anderson says. "If you'd keep a girl around long enough to actually know more than her first name, any one of them could have been right."
"I don't have a steady job, couldn't support a wife and kids" Cooper argues weakly.
"You do have a perfectly good Harvard degree." Mrs. Anderson chimes in, causing Cooper to send her a perturbed scowl.
"What?" She says noticing her son's expression. "You could always use it to fall back on if, acting doesn't work out."
"Grandfather Prescott did make you that offer, could always accept it." Blaine adds with a mischievous grin. Cooper kicks him under the table, while mouthing, "NOT HELPING." Blaine just laughs and thrust food into his mouth.
Grandpa Anderson laughs, "I'm only saying, fellow like you should have a lady on his arm and some babies in a basket. Also wouldn't kill you to get a decent suit and tie. Isn't that right, Kurt"
"A good suit and tie, yes. But I umm.... Well I....I think romance is important, no matter the situation, whether it is with a man or a woman." What, that didn't even make sense, oh god.
Blaine chuckles and whispers into Kurt's ear, "who's babbling now?"
Cooper laughs, "Oh, Grandpa, he won't side with you on that one, he's too smart."
Grandpa Anderson's mouth pulls into a sly grin, "Or he would prefer a good looking man on his arm."
Blaine pats Kurt on the back as he chokes on the water he was drinking.
