Author's Notes:

Thanks for coming along on what must be the wierdest story Ive written, to date. Stay tuned, because I have something even more bizarre starting to percolate in my twisted head.

I know you wanted me to save Finn.  I wanted to save Finn, too.  Sadly, however, Cory is lost to us, and real death--unlike character death--has a finality to it that we cannot escape.  However, his memory lives with us, and that part of him will stay alive in our hearts.  May he rest in peace.

It was still dark when Kurt woke. He smiled to feel Blaine's naked body press into him. They rarely slept in the nude, but Blaine had fallen asleep after they had made love, and although Kurt had put on a robe before he went to Finn's room, it felt weird to put on pajamas when he got back, given Blaine's undressed state.

Thus, Kurt was naked, too, and his body was beginning to react to all of the skin on skin contact. Kurt ran his hand over Blaine's back and buttocks. It was probably just love, but Kurt could swear that Blaine's body felt even better than it had earlier in the night.  Responding to his touch, Blaine snuggled closer and murmured, “Mmmmm,” against Kurt's neck, which made Kurt instantly hard.

Then Kurt began touching Blaine in earnest, and Blaine—whose movement were at first sleepy and uncoordinated—began to give as good as he got, threading his fingers into Kurt's hair and tugging his head back so he could bite along the column of Kurt's neck.

“I never get tired of you,” Blaine marveled between gentle bites.

Kurt let out a throaty chuckle, “I hope not, after one time.”

“One time?: Oh, you mean last night?” Blaine sounded puzzled.

“Mmm,” Kurt responded non-committaly.

Despite the vagueness of Kurt's reply, it must have satisfied Blaine, because he went back to kissing along Kurt's neck, making Kurt groan and squirm on the bed. Blaine paused momentarily to say in a low voice, “The more I have of you, the more I want you. You excite me endlessly.”

“And you me. Are you sore?  Do you think you're ready to go again already?”

“Ye-ah,” Blaine dragged out the word. “Already? We're guys in our twenties, Kurt. We're not senior citizens.”

“Twe…Blaine?” Kurt pulled away and switched on the bedside light. He looked around the room. He was in New York. More specifically, he was in his apartment in New York City, the one he shared with his fiancé, Blaine. Blaine, who was right here next to him in bed, blinking and looking at him like hed lost his mind.

He'd done it! He'd gotten back. Yes!

Kurt threw his arms around Blaine, who was looking stunned and confused, and pulled him into a rib-crushing hug. In seconds, there were tears streaming down Kurt's face and falling into Blaine's hair, and although Kurt tried to hide it, he couldn't help his chest heaving with sobs.

“Hey. Hey, sweetheart, what is it?” Blaine smoothed circles on Kurt's skin as he sobbed and sobbed.

“I'm just so lucky to be loved by you.”

“I'm not going anywhere.”

“Good.”

Kurts crying had subsided, and he was now peppering Blaines face with kisses.

“I think you're overly tired, darling. You get weepy when you haven't had enough sleep. Why don't we forget the sex, and we'll try to get a little more sleep, honey.” Blaine said all of this in a soothing tone, stroking gently down Kurt's back as he did so, “Don't forget we're going out with Dave and Sebastian tonight. I'm not sure youll be up for yet another late night unless you get a nap.”

“Dave and Sebastian?” asked Kurt.

Blaine giggled, “Wow, you are more tired than I thought. You know, Dave Karofsky, who we went to high school with, and Sebastian Smythe, who I went to Dalton with? Our best friends back in Ohio? You know, the ones who are coming up to the city for the weekend?”

“Daves alive?  They're a couple?”

Blaine peered intently at Kurt, “Yes, Daves very much alive.  Why wouldnt he be?  And, yes, theyve been a couple for, I don't know, five years now or something. Kurt, are you okay?”

“What about Finn? What happened to Finn?”

Blaine's face was beginning to show alarm, but at the mention of Finn, it crumbled. He pulled Kurt closer to him, holding him tightly, “Oh, sweetheart, you know that Finn died.”

Kurt began crying again, and Blaine patted and soothed him. When his weeping began to subside, Blaine placed his hands very gently on the side of Kurt's face and pulled his head back so he could peer in Kurt's eyes, “Sweetheart, you're freaking me out. Did you hit your head or have a stroke? Should I take you to the hospital?”

Kurt pulled away from Blaine's hands, dashed at his tears with the back of his own hands, and shook his head. He gave Blaine a small smile, “I'm sorry to act so weird. I had this really vivid dream, and it kind of messed me up. I think you're right. I'm just really tired.”

Blaine smiled back at Kurt, “Let's go back to sleep.” He laid down and patted his shoulder to indicate that Kurt should put his head there. Kurt did, wrapping his arm around Blaine's chest. Blaine put his own arm across Kurt's, putting his hand on his lover's shoulder. “I love you, darling, and I'll always be here for you. Dream sweetly.”

Then both men drifted off to sleep, and neither of them dreamed.

The next morning when Blaine was in the shower, Kurt walked over to the dresser. On top was a large, rosewood box where Blaine kept his favorite bow ties. In the bottom of the box was a drawer, and although they had never talked about it, Kurt knew that Blaine stashed all of his favorite notes from Kurt in that drawer.

Reaching in and pulling out the stack, Kurt shuffled through them until he saw it. Written on a faded piece of memo pad was a note:

In every lifetime, I will find a way to love you. –Kurt
