Author's Notes: Sorry for the long wait!
“Ew!” a voice said in an overly dramatic voice. Blaine sighed and rested his head on Kurt’s shoulder.

“Rachel, don’t you have a solo to rehearse or something?” Blaine said harshly. He and Kurt had been in the middle of watching a Project Runway marathon on Blaine’s couch. And Kurt had just begun to kiss Blaine before Rachel rudely interrupted.

“You know, he was my friend first,” Rachel said and sunk into the chair beside them. Blaine looked over at his sister and wrapped an arm around Kurt’s shoulders possessively.

“Yeah? Well now he’s my friend.” Kurt raised his brow at Blaine. “Boyfriend,” Blaine clarified and Kurt nodded contently before turning back to the television. “And I’m pretty sure he’d rather watch mindless television and make out with me, than do…whatever it is you two do.” Rachel crossed her arms over her chest in protest.

“I don’t know,” Kurt said and side glanced at Blaine. “Rachel and I have had some pretty good times.” Rachel pointed her finger at Blaine and let out a loud ‘HAH!’ Blaine scowled at her before regarding Kurt.

“Is that so?” Kurt’s gaze flickered to Blaine’s lips.

“Mmhm,” he said softly and Blaine smirked as the other boy began leaning in closer. Blaine put his vacant hand on Kurt’s cheek and closed the distance between them. He pressed his lips to Kurt’s lightly, but Kurt immediately deepened the kiss.

A moment later, Blaine pulled away, and Kurt’s eyes were hungry with desire. “Better than that?” Kurt stared at Blaine a minute longer before glancing behind himself and at Rachel.

“Sorry, Rach,” he said simply.

“Cool. That’s awesome. Don’t worry. I don’t mind being replaced. It’s fine,” she rambled and Kurt kissed Blaine again. It had been a few days since their first kiss, but Blaine still felt those sparks every time. “Regardless, I’m glad you guys are finally together. Now I don’t have to hear you both whine about how hot the other is. It was getting really annoying.” Blaine’s brows furrowed and he looked over at his sister.

“Wait, why didn’t you tell me he liked me back?” Blaine said. “What happened to Sibling Code 105?” he cried.

“I was abiding Friendship 101, Blaine!”

“I told you when Kyle Walters had a crush on you in sixth grade,” Blaine retorted and Rachel rolled her eyes and let out an exasperated breath.

“Yeah, but you guys weren’t that close,” she defended and Blaine could fell Kurt’s body vibrating in laughter beside him.

“What are you talking about? He was the best friend I had! I’d known him since second grade!”

“That’s beside the point,” she said dismissively. Blaine raised his arms to say ‘really?’ Rachel opened her mouth to speak again, but froze when she heard the faint sound of a door opening. Blaine grew rigid and he looked at his sister with wide eyes.

“Dad,” they said in quiet unison. Blaine practically flew to the other side of the couch and he tried to sit as casual as possible, which included crossed legs and a hand propped on the arm of the couch to half cover his face. He could feel Kurt’s eyes on him, but he kept his eyes strained on the television. In an afterthought, he leaned forward, grabbed the remote and tossed it to Rachel. She caught it easily a second before their dad walked into the room.

“Hey, kids,” he said as he leaned in to kiss Rachel’s hair. “How’s your Saturday going?”

“Good,” Blaine said quickly and tried to keep his thoughts under control. He felt terrible. He could sense Kurt’s dismay, and he knew he’d have to tell his father about their relationship eventually, but Blaine really wasn’t looking forward to it. Blaine’s father was very opinionated, and wasn’t too thrilled when he learned that his son was gay. It wasn’t like he turned Blaine away or yelled at him or anything, but Blaine could tell his father was disappointed. Since then, he had tried many times to ‘man Blaine up,’ and Blaine couldn’t help but think it was his father’s way of making him less gay.

“What the hell is this crap?” his father said as he pointed toward the T.V. Rachel fixed him with a look.

“It’s not crap,” she said defensively. Their dad placed an affectionate hand on her head and Blaine felt a pang of jealousy in his chest. Why couldn’t his father be that accepting toward Blaine?

“Hey, Blaine, I got us tickets to see Buckeyes next weekend. Isn’t that great?”

“Yeah,” Blaine said absently, “great.” He could feel Kurt’s eyes on him, but he kept his sight trained on the screen. He sighed and leaned further into his hand. “Why don’t we go hunting while we’re at it?” Blaine said, voice dripping with sarcasm. “I hear its wabbit season.”

“Good idea, B. We can make a whole weekend out of it,” he said excitedly and Blaine bit back the groan forcing its way out of his mouth.

“Awesome,” Blaine said under his breath. His father walked away and to the kitchen, most likely getting a beer before heading to his office. Once he heard the door to his office close, Blaine slumped in the couch before he felt a hand on his arm. He looked over to see Kurt sliding over to curl back into his side. Kurt thread his fingers through Blaine’s hair and pulled his head into his chest. “I dun wansho hurmphing.” Kurt ran his hand over Blaine’s untamed curls and pressed his lips to Blaine’s temple.

“I know, sweetie. I know.” Blaine sighed deeply. “Why don’t you just tell him?” Blaine buried his head deeper into Kurt’s chest. He didn’t know if Kurt was simply referring to hunting, or to the details of his love life, but either way, Blaine wasn’t budging. “You’ll have to at some point,” he said softly and Blaine felt an ache in his chest. He knew he did. And it wasn’t like he didn’t want to, deep down. He wanted to show off Kurt- wanted to rub their relationship in the faces of everyone he knew and everyone he didn’t. He wanted everyone to know how lucky he was to have such an amazing boyfriend and be the envy of everyone else because Kurt was his. But he could hear his father already; he knew what he’d say.

“Dad?” Blaine would begin in a small voice, an innocent voice, like a child.

“Yes, B?” his father would respond, most likely speaking absently as he did something else like read the paper, something where Blaine could tell his father, but that his dad would be busy enough that he wouldn’t give Blaine his full attention.

“I have a…” he’d cut off, because he’d be so nervous.

“Spit it out, bud,” his father would say curtly, wanting Blaine to ‘man up’ and ‘take charge’ or whatever.

“…boyfriend,” Blaine would finish, finally choking out the words. His father would stop reading, but not fully acknowledge his son just yet. Blaine’s nerves would be on end, and he’d wring his hands together as they grew clammy in the never ending silence. It would be like when he came out to his father, but somehow worse.

He would see the look on his father’s face when he realized that Blaine really was gay, that it wasn’t just a phase, that he couldn’t be fixed, that Blaine couldn’t be changed. He would hear his father talk about what a mistake Dalton had been, once again arguing that that was where Blaine got the ridiculous idea of homosexuality on the first place. He would hear his father mutter to himself something about football games and gym memberships being a waste of money. Blaine would end up leaving his father’s presence, stomping away and hiding like he had two years ago. He’d curl into a ball until Rachel would come in and soothe him. And a few hours later, his father would come up the stairs and apologize to him. Say that he was just ‘caught off guard.’

His father would tell him that everything was okay, but Blaine would know better. Because now his father would never just let Kurt come over. He’d never leave them alone. He’d never let Blaine go to a friend’s house because now it’d always be Kurt’s house so they could fuck each other, even if he was really going to Mikes to watch Avatar, or Artie’s to play Halo. Blaine would lose a sense of freedom- one that he wanted to hold on to.

Blaine gently pulled back from Kurt and placed a delicate peck on his lips. “You’re amazing. You know that, right?” Kurt asked and Blaine ducked his head. Kurt put his hand beneath Blaine’s chin and drew his face back up so he could look into Blaine’s eyes. “Right?” Blaine smiled softly, still put out by the thoughts of his father. Blaine shook his head slightly and Kurt opened his mouth to protest, Blaine leaned forward and kissed him again, pouring everything he had into that kiss. He felt like he was telling Kurt everything- all his fears and insecurities, his anger and frustration, and even his joy and happiness.

Kurt let Blaine kiss him, not deepening it, not pulling away, but letting Blaine silently share everything. He sat there and let Blaine’s weight fall onto him as he kept both of them upright on the couch.

When Blaine was finished, he pulled away and looked up at Kurt with eyes that were filled with raw emotion, and Kurt gave him a look that said ‘I’m here and I care about you.’ Blaine pressed their foreheads together briefly before pulling back, putting up a wall to shield his thoughts from the world and pulled Kurt’s legs on top of his before looking back at the screen in front of the room. Kurt rested his head on Blaine’s shoulder and ran his hand over Blaine’s arm, stroking it lovingly as Blaine placed his head on Kurt’s.

The tension in the room died down and Blaine smiled softly at the sound of Kurt laughing lightly beside him. He tightened his arm around Kurt’s back in a half hug and Kurt peered up at him through his lashes, still grinning widely. Blaine couldn’t help but chuckle at his boyfriend’s expression. “You’re perfect,” he said before he was even conscious of moving his lips and Kurt pressed a kiss to his neck. Soon, Blaine promised. I’ll tell him soon.
