“Look, Blaine, I’m really sorry, I was coming back… I really was.” said Cooper in an attempt to break the silence.

Blaine gave a snort of derision. “Of course you were Cooper just like the fact that dad still loves me… you know he blamed me for you leaving, saying that it was because you didn’t want a fag as a brother and that you were lying the night before”

“Blaine, you have every right to be mad at me, I shouldn’t have left you, why didn’t anyone tell me about the dance?”

“They couldn’t contact you, dad said you wouldn’t care”

“How come you’re here then? I did go back to the old house but it was empty”

“After the dance mom left dad and we moved to Lima, I went to Dalton for a while, and then I met Kurt” Blaine voice softened when he said his boyfriend’s name.

“And he’s the boy who brought use here”

“Yes” said Blaine coldly.

Kurt arrived with the coffees. He took the seat next to Blaine, and sat in silence for a while.

“Thank you Kurt, I’m Bl-“

“I know who you are, from the way Blaine left glee this afternoon, you’re the brother who left him alone three years ago with an abusive father” said Kurt venom in his words.

“Oh! He… err… told you about that…”

“Yes! He did, why would you do that Cooper, he needed you he needed more of his family on his side.”

“Yes, well I wasn’t thinking… I just needed to get out of there, dad never approved of me.”

“YES HE FUCKING DID, HE WAS PROUD OF YOU THAT YOU WERE ‘NORMAL’ AND THAT YOU HAD THE SENSE TO WANT NOTHING TO DO WITH ME… AFTER THAT NIGHT YOU WERE DAD’S FAVOURITE” Blaine snapped.

“I’m really sorry Blaine I really was going to comeback, when I had a real job not that commercial.”

“Oh? really? oh course you were.”

“YES I was Blaine, I love you B I really didn’t want to leave it was the best chance I had of getting us both out of Indiana Blaine.”

“Well, I got out granted it was to Ohio but still it’s where I found Kurt, and that was the best thing to happen to me” said Blaine, staring a Kurt and taking his hand.

“Oh, so Kurt’s your boyfriend then?” asked Cooper

“Yes, he is.” said Blaine, smiling sweetly.

“awww, well you look really good together Blaine, would you ever be able to forgive me for leaving you?” said Cooper, he really wanted to be back in Blaine's life.

“I’ll have to think about it Coop… you know I really missed you? after the dance I-I kept asking for you… I needed my Coop, but mom couldn’t get hold of you.”

“I’m sorry blaine, what happened? I know they beat you up.”

He looked at Kurt, panic in his eyes, and Kurt wrapped his arm round Blaine’s shoulder and pulled his head to his shoulder, kissed the top of his curls.

“Shush Blaine, calm down… everything is fine they aren’t here okay you are safe… I’m here, don’t worry” whispered Kurt in to his ear.

“Would you like me to tell Cooper while you go calm down?”

Blaine shook his head.

“Would you like to tell Cooper?”

Blaine shook his head again

“Would you like to stay here while I tell Cooper?”

Blaine nodded jerkily.

“Okay, well Blaine and Tom we’re waiting for Tom’s dad to pick them up after the dance, and the bullies cornered them and started punching them, they focused on Blaine, so Tom had time to escape, he was the one who phoned the ambulance, when it arrived they had beaten him into unconsciousness and he was in a coma for three days after that.”

Blaine was sobbing now; tears were rolling down Cooper’s cheeks too.

“Blaine, I’m so sorry…”

“err, Cooper think I’m going to take Blaine home” said Kurt stroking Blaine's curls. “Just give him a bit of time to think… we’ll see you tomorrow in Glee Club okay”

“Okay, Bye Blaine… and Thank-you Kurt, for the coffee and helping my brother, he seems really happy with you”

“Bye Coop.” said Blaine though his tears, “He does make me happy, I’ll talk to you tomorrow”
