“JJ, are you sure you want to do this? I didn’t mean to pressure you. I understand, I was just wondering if you were going to tell them, you don’t have to,” said Blaine.

Jermaine was taking Blaine back to his house to introduce him as his boyfriend; Jermaine had decided he was going to come out to his family.

“Yes, B. I’m sure… I don’t want to hide it from them anymore,” said Jermaine as they pulled up outside his house.

“Okay, well, I’m here no matter what,” said Blaine giving his boyfriend’s hand a reassuring squeeze.

They climbed out of the car, walked to Jermaine’s front door, and walked inside.

“Thank you for being here with me, Blaine,” said Jermaine pressing a soft kiss to Blaine's cheek.

“You’re welcome, JJ. I’ll always be here,” said Blaine as they entered the front room.

“Mom, could you get dad and Grace? There’s something I need to tell you all,” said Jermaine nervously.

Georgina Thoms nodded and left to get her husband and daughter. When they came to the room Jermaine took a deep breath and glanced at Blaine who flashed a reassuring smile.

“M-M-Mom, dad, Grace… you know Blaine.” they all nodded. “Well, he’s my boyfriend. I’m-I’m gay, and I know you don’t like it but it’s not something that I chose. I tried to tell myself that, but I can’t lie about who I am anymore. I love Blaine.”

“No, you can’t be. I’d never give birth to a fag!” snapped Georgina Thoms, looking at him as if he was a piece of gum on her shoe.

“Why would you make a choice like that, JJ? Just why, do you know how this could affect me? Affect my campaign? No-one will vote of a guy with a faggy son!” said David Thoms.

“It isn’t a choice dad! It’s part of who I am! I like boys and there isn’t anything you can do or say that will change that!”

“What if we cut you off? Kick you out?” Jermaine just gave a half shrug; he’d have never been able to do this if it wasn’t for Blaine's presence.

“GET. OUT!” said David Thoms, he was a tall scary, bald man.

“But dad!” Jermaine whined as his dad ushered the two of them out of the door. “I’m the same person I was this morning.”

“No, you are not. You’ve made your choice and I’m making mine. I’m not having you anywhere near Grace so you can infect her with your abnormality!” and with that Mr Thoms slammed the door shut.

Jermaine and Blaine went to go sit in his car and Jermaine began to cry.

“Sh, JJ,” cooed Blaine.

“See what you did, Blaine? It’s all your fault… You made me come out and now I don’t have a family… They’ve disowned me!” said Jermaine though hot angry tears.

“I’m sorry, JJ. I didn’t mean to force you out of the closet, I’m really sorry… you can come and stay with me if you like?”

“You see at least yours still lets you have a roof over your head!”

“Which I have to pay for,” snapped Blaine. Yeah he hadn’t been kicked out but his dad still hated him, and made him pay for everything: food, clothes, school supplies; he even had to pay board.

Jermaine grabbed Blaine's wrist tightly and squeezed his fingernails digging into the subtle skin on Blaine's wrist.

“Don’t take that tone with me, Blaine! Just admit that this is your fault.”

“I’m sorry it’s my fault, I should never have asked if you were going to tell your parents,” Blaine sobbed as pain surged through his wrist; it stung painfully. Blaine knew it wasn’t entirely his fault but if he didn’t agree with Jermaine, he didn’t know what he might do.

Jermaine released his grip and began to drive. Blaine sat, drew his knees up to his chest, and cradled his aching wrist. Jermaine started to drive to Blaine's house.

The two boys sat in Blaine's room in silence. Blaine was reading the next assignment book for English.

“Hey, B,” said Jermaine sheepishly. “I’m sorry. Can I make it up to you? Let me take you out to dinner tomorrow.”

“You don’t need to do anything, JJ. I’m sorry, I shouldn’t have even mentioned it,” said Blaine putting down the book. He walked over and gave his boyfriend a big hug.

“No, just, please, let me take you to dinner, I’ll feel much better.”

“Okay, I have a study session till 4:30 tomorrow in the library. Meet me after?”

“Yeah, hey your dad’s still out…” said Jermaine suggestively.

“I’ll fetch the condoms,” said Blaine walking to the bathroom.
