Kurt gradually made his way over to Aisle 1. He knew he had to make it look like he just came in the market to meet Carole. It was necessary or else his dad might suspect something. Then again, he didn't think Burt was that smart. However, he must have thought something was up for him to actually come shopping with Carole. Kurt knew his father hated any type of shopping, especially grocery shopping.

He calmly gathered himself before he pretended to search through the aisles for Carole... who was supposed to be here alone. "Damn it, Dad." He peered down the aisle where Carole and his father were. Burt was bent over, reaching for something on the bottom shelf when he locked eyes with Carole. Before Carole could speak, Kurt called out to her. "Carole, there you are."

He reached out, pulling her in for a hug. Kurt lingered there for a moment, whispering into Carole's ear. "Don't worry, I sent him off. We rescheduled." Kurt then pulled away, Carole giving him a reassuring look. He tried to remind himself that he had to play along and pretend like he his father didn't just ruin his potential first date. He thought it'd be smart to at least acknowledge his father's presence even if they weren't on the best terms. "I didn't expect you to tag along."

Burt had then stood back up and placed the bottom shelved item in the grocery cart. "Hello to you too, kid." From then on in Carole, Burt, and a reluctant Kurt shopped in silence. Well, at least Kurt shopped in silence while Carole and his father exchanged in conversation. He wasn't really in the mood to be shopping. He had other places to be. Preferably, he'd rather be on his date with Blaine but he knew that obviously wasn't going to happen.

He'd have to find some way to hold out until next week when he and Blaine would finally get to go out on what Blaine considered a 'proper' date. That night, Kurt texted Blaine and apologized for his oh so intruding father. Of course, Blaine being the gentleman he is told Kurt he shouldn't be apologizing for anything. Blaine was idealistically the perfect guy for Kurt and Kurt was beginning to think Blaine was beginning to realize that too.

For the next week, Blaine bought Kurt his regular non-fat drip to the one class period they shared together. They shared 8th period Chemistry, which was the last class of the day. Usually he was already exhausted from his full day of classes and he needed a pick-me-up. Having Blaine in his class always did the trick but having coffee was a little extra bonus. Kurt would stroll into class and spot his coffee already on his desk and Blaine sitting in his seat in front of him.

Blaine was always earlier to 8th period too. Normally Kurt didn't take notice to Blaine being their earlier than him, but this week he sure did. Everyday his coffee was there this week, there was a little note that Blaine had scribbled on the coffee like. Each note was different each day, with some adorable endearment and a number. At first Kurt didn't put two and two together. He never realized the numbers were in decreasing order until one morning when his coffee lid was simply inscribed with 'Today is the day… finally.'

Kurt read the inscription and his heart nearly jumped out of his chest. He must have lost track of the days because it definitely didn't feel like a whole week had already passed by. Then again he was too busy with overlapping homework, Warbler practices filled with him and Blaine exchanging flirty eyes, and late night phone conversations with Blaine that resulted in each of them crying with laughter.

"So I'll pick you up tonight? Is 8 okay?" So wrapped up in his thoughts, Kurt looked up to find a smiling Blaine starring at him. He looked like a puppy for God's sake, waiting on Kurt to speak. It might have been the most adorable thing Kurt ever saw. Blaine looked, hopeful? Kurt was always taken a bit back by how Blaine actually wanted to go on this date as much as he did. Of course he had his doubts about Blaine..it was only normal. Their relationship? Is that what they were now? It came out of no where. At least on Blaine's part.

Why did he decide to ask Kurt out now? He didn't have time to think about these types of worries right now because Blaine was still there, waiting for him to answer. Quickly, Kurt responded with a short and enthusiastic "Yeah."

Before Kurt could thank Blaine for the coffee, their teacher already had begun talking. Blaine turned around, still smiling to himself and looking absolutely perfect. The boy was the very definition of gorgeous. Lost in his thoughts, Kurt paid no mind to his teacher's Chemistry lesson. Instead, he devoted his time to doodling silly little love song (pun intended) lyrics down into his notebook. The period had flown by unbeknownst to Kurt, the last bell rang. He peered up from his notebook and noticed the rest of the students begin to leave. The class was relatively empty now; their teacher was even out the door before they were. Closing his notebook, he made to make leave. As he gathered his things and made his way to the door, Blaine caught him by the hand and pulled him back.

Every time Blaine surprisingly grabbed his hand, it startled him. Not so much a scared startled, but a 'don't ever let go, please…' startle. He should've been used to it now though seeing as Blaine isn't afraid to grab Kurt's hand any chance he gets. But still, every time their fingers interlocked Kurt's stomach couldn't help but to flip a few times. "Yes, Blaine?"

Guiding him by hand, Blaine pulled him off to the side, making sure they were standing face to face. However, Kurt noticed Blaine's gaze was planted downward. This was something out of the ordinary. Blaine was always the one to make eye contact first. It was something Kurt had. Blaine was always forward even if he wasn't realize he was. It was a part of his charm that Kurt couldn't resist. But this Blaine confused Kurt, so he thought he had to say something.

He guided his free hand up to Blaine's chin and gently forced his face up to meet his gaze. When Kurt pulled his face up, he noticed a shade of mixed pink and red on Blaine's cheeks. What was this? Could Blaine be blushing? Kurt wouldn't have thought in a million years that Blaine was even capable of blushing. Yes, he knew it was physically possible but he didn't think he would get the privilege to see it firsthand. But why was he blushing? Kurt would do his best to figure out why.

Blaine's face was forced forward, but he still refused to meet his gaze which was really off-putting. Blaine was the one who pulled Kurt aside so there had to be something he wanted, right? Something felt off though. Kurt couldn't put it together but he wasn't that oblivious. He was blushing and avoiding eye contact, which was something Kurt normally would have been doing himself. Finally breaking the silence, Kurt spoke softly and flashed him a reassuring smile. "Hey, I'm up here."

In a nanosecond, multiple events took place. The first thing that happened was Blaine instantly met Kurt's gaze, starring back into his eyes as he sucked in a nervous breath. Then something Kurt had only ever imagined, ever dreamed about, happened. Blaine lips attacked his in a desperate, eager kiss. Kurt didn't have time to register what was going on and he simply closed his eyes. It wasn't a peck and it wasn't anything that last for more than nine seconds. Their lips just lingered there, in a permanent pucker against each other.

Both boys pulled their lips back with a simultaneous pop. Kurt slid his fingers out from under Blaine's chin and to his own lips before he opened his eyes to Blaine who was biting his lip and pulling away from him. He felt their hands part and his heart plummeted into stomach. What was going on? Blaine had just kissed him and was now backing off? He didn't get it until he heard Blaine start to apologize, his words spewing out of his mouth like word vomit.

"Oh god, Kurt I…" Blaine began to stutter, a nervous habit Kurt presumed. He started backing away, raising his hands in protest. "I didn't- I didn't mean to just do it like that. I'm sorry. I just really want to. I didn't want to wait until tonight... I'm sorry. That makes me sound like a perv. I shouldn't have forced it like that especially after what you went through. I'm so stupid. I should've asked. You must think I'm the most disgusting creature on the face of the planet! I'm sorry, Kurt. I'm so unbelievably sorry."

Kurt's pretty sure if he had the abilities of a cartoon character, his jaw would have dropped straight through the floor. His jaw hung slack at Blaine's words. No freaking way was Blaine comparing himself to Karofsky. It wasn't possible. "What?" Kurt stepped forward, grabbing both of Blaine's hands. His grip was a bit forceful but Kurt needed to get his point across. How could Blaine ever think such a horrible thing? "You listen to me, Blaine Anderson. Don't you ever think for one second you're allowed to compare yourself to that good for nothing Neanderthal."

Blaine shook his head, trying to interrupt Kurt abruptly. "But I forced mys…" Kurt quickly intervened, shooting down any attempt Blaine made to speak. "Karofsky raped my mouth... figuratively speaking, but what you did wasn't anything like that. It was a surprise.. surprise being an understatement of the century here. But do you think for a second, if I didn't want that kiss, I would've stood there and just let it happen again?" Kurt looked up to stare lovingly into those deep breathtaking eyes but instead saw a crumbling, teary-eyed Blaine.

"Shit. No, no, no, no, don't cry." He pulled Blaine into a bone crushing hug, wrapping him in his arms tightly. "Blaine, it's alright." Blaine buried his face into the crook of Kurt's neck and continued sobbing quietly, wrapping his arms around Kurt's abdomen. Kurt brought his hand up to top of Blaine's head, stroking his curls and running his hand through them. He hushed Blaine, whispering sweet nothings and little terms of endearments. "Sh, sh, it's okay, baby. I promise. Everything's fine." Kurt shocked himself at how fast he fell into this protective mode. He just wanted to stay like this, holding Blaine closely, forever. He could've enjoyed this more if Blaine wasn't crying but he didn't care about that Blaine was soaking his uniform with his tears right now. All he wanted to do was hold Blaine until he knew everything was going to be alright.

This was the first time Kurt had ever seen Blaine fall apart. His dapper faade had been broken right then and there in the empty classroom. Blaine was showing Kurt how vulnerable he was, which surprisingly turned him on. Not in the 'Hey I want to ravish you until the sun comes up' turned on but the 'Yes he's perfect, but he's still a normal scared little boy just like me' turn on. Kurt continued to stare down at Blaine and wondered what had caused this sudden crying fest. Did Blaine feel that bad about kissing Kurt?

Blaine stifled a few more tears before he picked his head up and looked at Kurt. His eyes were puffy and red, and he couldn't have looked more beautiful to Kurt. It hit him like a ton of bricks. Kurt knew what he had to do. Carefully, he brought his lips to Blaine's. This time the kiss they shared was slow and intimate. Again it was short, but it lasted longer than the previous one they shared. When Kurt pulled his lips away, they glided to Blaine's nose and then to the middle of his forehead before he stared into Blaine's swollen eyes.

"Sweetheart, if you don't stop crying you're going to flood us in this classroom and we'll drown before I get the privilege of going out on a proper date with you." Blaine's lip was trembling now as he tried to regain his composure from all the crying he did. "You still want to go out with me?" Blaine repositioned himself, standing in front of Kurt once again, except his arms still stayed wrapped around Kurt. "After I just embarrassed the living shit out of myself and completely soaked your shirt?"

Kurt rolled his eyes out of sheer disbelief. "Blaine, the first day we met I sobbed like a baby in front of you." Shrugging lightly, Blaine searched Kurt's face for a straight answer. "So is that a yes, or?" Kurt brought his arms up around Blaine's neck, smiling over at him. "Yes, yes, a million times yes. I'll be ready for 8, just like you said." Blaine's face brightened up out of the blue. His eyes were becoming less red and the swelling was decreasing. "And Blaine, if you want to kiss me, you out of all people don't need to ask."

Blaine scrunched his face uneasily. "Are you sure?" Kurt pulled Blaine closer this time, the space between their bodies disappearing. "You're not him, you know. I like you, Blaine. I like you a lot. I have for a while." Kurt sighed heavily, butterflies roaming around his stomach. It was hard for him to come out and say that he liked Blaine. He knew he did, but it was a big step for him to come out right and say it.

Blaine inched his face closer to Kurt's, their noses brushing up against each other's slightly. "I like you a lot, too, Kurt." And with that, Blaine went in for a real kiss. Not that simple peck or lingering pucker they shared, a real open mouthed passionate kiss.

Blaine wasn't sure he could push himself to do anything more..like stick his tongue down Kurt's throat after the shit fest that just occurred but he wanted that special kiss with Kurt. Hell, Kurt wanted it too, if not more. And it was happening. Kurt moved his lips with Blaine's, sucking on Blaine's top lip as Blaine tugged at his lower lip gently with his teeth. Kurt wasn't sure how he knew how to do this but damn it, he was thankful. Their lips fit together perfectly, like two puzzle pieces. Kurt's body was overcome with warmth and adrenaline. This was it. The perfect kiss he always wanted, and it was from Blaine Anderson.
