These buckets were going slowly. They had five out of twenty and it'd been two months since their song in the Lima Bean.
Maybe it was because Kurt was always cooped up in his room revising for tests and writing essays.
"Thanks for doing this with me Kurt." Blaine grins when Kurt is over on his first free day for what seems like years.
"It's okay, sorry I've not been around. I've had a lot to do."
"That's okay, honestly. Besides, it's given me the chance to accomplish some on my own – the ones that are easy for someone in a chair." Blaine laughs.
Kurt smiles sympathetically, "Which ones did you do?"
"Have a Harry Potter marathon and-"
"You had a Potter fest on your own?"
"...Yeah?"
"That's adorable."
Blaine smiles sheepishly, "I also painted something; I know it's not that amazing of a thing to put on the bucket list but otherwise I probably wouldn't have done it."
"Show me."
Blaine reaches behind his desk and reveals a canvas.
"Is...is that me?"
Blaine nods, "It's a sort of thank you gift to say, well, thank you."
"Oh my God, Blaine; this is amazing! Nobody has painted me something before. It's so detailed as well!" Kurt says, taking the painting from Blaine and gawking at it; marvelled.
"It's yours, hang it on your wall or throw it the trash, I don't really care. I just wanted to see your face when you opened it."
"I'd never throw something this special away."
Blaine blushes.
"So, any more buckets today?" Kurt asks, assisting Blaine out of his chair; struggling to actually get him on his bed. "Gee, you're a heavy guy," He giggles; hot breath dancing around on Blaine's neck as he's being carried over.
Blaine can't help but feel giddy on the inside as he feels Kurt's breath on his neck. It warms his soul.
"Sorry." Blaine apologises.
"Don't be silly, I was joking." Kurt laughs, managing to ease Blaine onto his bed before joining him.
"Are there any new buckets?"
"Not really, they're all pretty lame and sappy. I want to find something to do that will excite me to the max, something that will make me forget I'm in a chair for just a short while." Blaine sighs.
"What about this then?" Kurt begins and pauses; quickly processing what he's about to do.
Should he?
No, he couldn't.
It'll make things awkward and that's the last thing he wants in their relationship.
But, he does like the boy; a lot.
He loves his hair, smile and eyes; his personality; the way his eyebrows furrow when he's concentrating on something and the way he smells. God, all Kurt wants to do is wrap himself up in the smell – and treasure it forever.Blaine smells like freshly picked raspberries. This scent is mouth watering, and refreshing - like spring.
Kurt really does want to.
He's only a few inches away.
All his has to do is lean forwards and...
Their lips meet.
Soft and eager.
Blaine's fingers curl and he closes his eyes with the intensity. He's wanted this for so long. Just to be near Kurt in a different way to friends. To have his lips on his.
And it happens and it's exhilarating and new and lovely and scary all mixed into one massive emotion. Because holy shit this is amazing. Blaine feels like he's floating; up, up, up in the clouds and higher than the highest mountain.
Kurt presses his tongue against Blaine's lips who slowly opens his mouth; letting Kurt's tongue explore. It brushes across his palette and dances around with his own. This causes Blaine to elicit a moan; which snaps the boys both back into reality.
Both boys are flushed; breathing heavily with the experience – both unsure of what to do next.
"How was that? Did you forget about your chair?" Kurt smirks; crawling closer to Blaine on his bed.
"I was floating." Blaine blushes.
"I'm glad," Kurt finishes with a kiss to Blaine's cheek. "I should probably get going, it's getting late and I've an essay to write."
"Ooh," Blaine winces, "Nasty."
"Tell me about it..." Kurt sighs, tugging on his boots and jacket.
He does an awkward dance in the middle of the room.
"Kurt?"
"Yeah?" Kurt asks, a little shrill.
"Do you need the bathroom or something?"
"What? No!" Kurt laughs, "I...I was wondering if I could...uhm, kiss you again?"
Blaine grins, "By all means."
Kurt closes the space between them presses a lingering kiss to Blaine's lips.
He pulls away, says his goodbyes and leave.
Once Blaine is alone, he quickly crosses off another bucket:
Kiss Kurt?
