He looked up from where he was sitting at his desk and scanned the room that was full of students, they were copying the work he had wrote on the board, "if you are finished, raise your hand," he said loudly, startling a couple of the kids who were hard at work. More than half the class raised their hands, a few of the other kids still working, "2 more minutes before I clear the board," he exclaimed loudly before going back to grading the stack of homework that was on his desk.
A mere 15 minutes later the lunch bell rang, Kurt's students all stood up quickly, packing their books and pencil cases away and rushing out the door in what looked like a stampede, "don't forget to do your homework!" He called out as the kids continued to rush out the door, "it's due tomorrow!" Once all the kids where out of the door, he walked over and shut it before making his way back to his desk that was cluttered with papers and teaching necessities.
Kurt slumped down in his chair and looked up at the ceiling, he had a pounding headache because of all the screaming the kids had done when it got close to bell time, their anxious little feet tapping against the tiled floor and their pens clicking at an overly fast pace as they waited for it to ring, and signal them another hour of freedom before they were caged back up in the many classrooms again.
His phone suddenly vibrated on the table, it's constant buzzing startling him out of his reverie, he fumbled to pick it up, answering the call without checking who it was. "Hello, Kurt Hummel speaking," he said into the speaker, his tone blank and almost robotic. "Hi, my dear," the smooth voice on the other line said in a cheeky tone, a grin instantly made it's way onto Kurt's face when he realized who it was.
"Hi," he breathed out, his voice slightly rougher than normal. He heard Blaine laugh on the other side of the phone, the muffled sound like music to Kurt's ears. "How's school?" Blaine questioned, Kurt wondered what he was doing at the coffee shop, maybe he was making a coffee? or maybe he was on his break, the latter was the most likely. He sighed dreamily before answering, "boring, the kids are s-o-o-o loud," he groaned, dropping his head onto the table in front of him.
Blaine chuckled lightly at the other boy's groan, "you'll be fine, you're Kurt Hummel," he stated, still laughing slightly. Blaine bit his lip as Kurt laughed at what he had said, "do you wanna come round after school? I can get off early," he murmured into the phone, hoping that Kurt's answer would be a good one, "That'd be great!," Kurt exclaimed happily, "it's a date then, Mr. Hummel," Blaine said with a laugh, Kurt also laughed before a bell rang, "I gotta go, I'll see you later, Blaine!" He said happily before the phone clicked and the call ended.
