Author's Notes: Hello! This is my very first Klaine fanfic, I have had experience in writing before though, I hope you enjoy!
Kurt sat in a small booth near a window, stirring his coffee while staring off into space. He had found this small coffee shop while on one of his many late night strolls that he was so very fond of. He had entered the small coffee shop, the bell that sat on top of the door tinkling softly as to signal his presence to the bored looking staff that sat behind the bar that separated them from the customers, he had walked slowly up to the register and coughed lightly, startling the boy with curly, black hair that had been sitting behind it, staring longingly at the door.

"Hi" he started softly, scanning the menu on the board above his head, "Could I get a Grande, non-fat mocha? Thankyou-" he paused, scanning the shorter boy's shirt for a name tag, looking back up at him when he couldn't find one. "Blaine" The boy- Blaine, replied in a voice slightly lower than Kurt's own. He watched as Blaine tapped the keys on the register, "That'll be $3.75 thanks," he reached into his wallet, pulling out the money that was needed and sliding it across the smooth, granite bench, the other boy placed it in the register and closed it with a small click before looking back up at Kurt, "could I get your name please, sir?" he didn't even answer at first, getting too caught up in staring at the man's beautiful, honey colored eyes.

He heard a throat being cleared and he shook his head quickly, releasing that he hadn't answered the question and flushed a deep red "K-Kurt, my name is Kurt." He cursed himself for stuttering, Blaine would probably think he was a stalker or something, but he didn't even look phased. "Alright, awesome!" he exclaimed, gesturing for Kurt to go and find a table to sit down at "I'll bring it over to you" he breathed out when Kurt tried to protest. He pouted but made his way over to a small booth in the corner near the window as he patiently waited for his coffee to be made.

The brunette was tapping his fingers softly on the cold top of the table when he felt a small pat on his shoulder, he snapped his head up and realized it was just Blaine there to deliver him his coffee. The curly haired boy had placed it in front the coffee in front of him as well as a sugar cookie, "thankyou" Kurt said quietly, "no problem" Blaine replied in an almost shy manner, quickly turning on his heel and racing back to where he came from.

He had been sitting at that small table for a while, absently sipping on his coffee and staring blankly out the window, studying the people who just happened to walk by and wondering where they were going, or maybe they were coming from somewhere. He switched his gaze from the window to where Blaine was sitting at the counter, running his fingers along the keys of the register, just passing the time while the wait for another customer to come inside from the bitter coldness of the nights air.

After about thirty minutes of staring at Blaine and watching the other workers go about their business, he had finished his coffee and decided now would be a good time to leave and go back to his small studio apartment to finish arranging tomorrows lesson. He stood up from the soft cushion of the booth seat and walked towards the counter, placing his empty take-away cup in the rubbish bin and turning around to face the register.

He got a sense of Dj vu when he cleared his throat to get Blaine's attention again. his head snapped up from where it was resting on top of his hand as his mouth formed a small smile once he realized it was Kurt again "Hey" he mumbled, yawning slightly, "what can I do for you, Kurt?" he finished his sentence with a smile. Placing his chin back on his hand and looking up at Kurt through his eyelashes.

"I-I just wanted to tell you that I was leaving now" He stated, wanting to smack himself for the way he said it "a-and that I will be coming back again soon" Well played, he thought to himself. Kurt had never been good at flirting because it had always seemed too awkward when he tried to flirt with someone, but maybe Blaine wouldn't notice. "Well, that's great Kurt" Blaine replied, his small smile breaking into a grin, "I'm looking forward to seeing you again." And with that, Kurt walked out the door of the small Coffee shop and made plans in his mind to return sometime in the next few days.

End Notes: Tada! I hope you enjoyed that, even though it is quite short but it is only the prologue. Other chapters will be longer than this one! If you have any criticisms or anything don't be afraid to review! thanks again!
