Kurt sees Blaine as soon as he steps outside, but doesn’t speak to him until he is a few meters away. He stops and puts his hands on his hips.

“What are you doing here?”

“What do you mean?”, Blaine asks, drops the cigarette to the ground and puts it out with his foot. Kurt tries really hard to ignore the tight feeling in his chest and the way his stomach flutters at the sound of the boy’s voice.

“That’s my car.”, he says. But Blaine doesn’t move away from the vehicle he is leaning against.

“I know.”, he simply answers, and Kurt’s stomach twitch again.

“What do you want, Anderson?” He hopes he sounds annoyed.

“I’ve been watching you.”, Blaine answers. And whatever Kurt had expected, this what not it. The answer slowly wraps an icy hand around his heart, makes it heavy and cold.

“You have?” Kurt curses himself for sounding so insecure, but really, people say he has killed someone, it would be something seriously wrong with him if he wasn’t at least a bit worried.

And then Blaine straightens himself up and closes the gap between them, once again invading the personal space Kurt usually is so keen to maintain.

“I’ve been watching you, Hummel, and I like what I see. I like the way you walk, the way you talk, the way you act.” A finger traces Kurt’s jaw and Kurt’s breathe catches in his throat.

And then the smirk is back, and with a long last look Blaine walks away. And Kurt hates his legs for shaking when he climbs into the car and drives off.
