Author's Notes: This is a bit of a shorter chapter but the next couple of chapters will make up for that.

The next day was fairly normal in most regards the only major difference is when Kurt saw Blaine wasn’t wearing his glasses he gave him a huge smile. It was officially the best day of Blaine’s life. Blaine once again went to the Hummel-Hudson house after school and was able to help Finn get through three more chapters of his textbook before Burt and Carole came home and the introduction of new people got to be too much for Blaine and he announced he needed to go home, Kurt figured since he already knew the way to Blaine’s place he might as well drive him home.

“So Blaine, who are you working with on that English project?” Kurt asked.

                “Oh, I’m working alone.”

“But it’s a group project; you’re supposed to have a partner.”

“I know but I always work on these things alone, the teachers’ don’t mind.”

“Would you like to work with me?” Kurt asked.

“Don’t you already have a partner?”

“I was supposed to work with Santana and Brittany but they’ll spend the whole time making out and I’d have to do all the work.” Kurt said which cause Blaine to laugh at his honesty.

“In that case it would be my honour to work with you.”

“Great, I’ll get your number from Finn and we’ll figure out when we can meet to work on the project.”

                “Ok.”

“By the way I love the bow tie.” Kurt said gesturing to Blaine’s outfit as Blaine went to get out of the car.

                “Thanks.” Blaine smiled.

Blaine who had never paid much attention to his clothes made sure to always wear a bow tie after that. Blaine didn’t know if Kurt noticed or realised it was because of what he said.

The next time Blaine went over to the Hummel-Hudson house he was able to stay a little bit later but when Carole invited him to stay for dinner he had one of his mini-panic attacks and said he’d better get home.  Once again Kurt insisted he be the one to drive Blaine home. Blaine’s car was fixed a couple days ago, pretty much right after he started tutoring Finn but he liked Kurt driving him home so he claimed it was still broken down, he might have removed a few spark plugs so if his dad went to check on it the car wouldn’t start.

“I was wondering if you’d like to have lunch with me tomorrow so we can discuss our English project.” Kurt told Blaine.

                “Uh….yeah. That’d be great.”

“Ok, it shouldn’t take too long so you’ll still be able to spend most of your lunch with your friends.” Kurt said which caused Blaine to snort.

                “What?” Kurt asked.

“I don’t have any friends Kurt.”

“Sure you do, you’re friends with…..I’m sure I’ve seen you hanging out with…..huh. Wow, I didn’t realise I’m sorry.”

“It doesn’t matter Kurt, I don’t need friends.”

                “That’s sad Blaine.”

Blaine shrugged.
