Author's Notes:

When I posted the last chapter I had every intention of finshing and posting this chapter the following day, however, my grandma died that day and I didn't feel like writing. And once I got out of the writing groove I had a hard time getting back in it, especially with things like my job and my etsy shop (if anyone wants the link message me) getting in the way.  I swear I'm not trying to leave you guys hanging all the time and I will try to get better at updating.

“What did you say?” Kurt asked, sure that he must have misheard.

“I said I’m your soul mate.” He repeated.

Kurt looked at the slightly taller man, momentarily speechless. Adian mistook Kurt’s stunned silence as surprise for having found his soul mate and stepped forward to kiss him. His movement snapped Kurt out of his shock and he was able to dodge the kiss.

“I’m sorry but you’re mistaken, I’ve already found my soul mate.”

“You’ve taken the test?” Adian asked his brow wrinkled in confusion.

Kurt knew there was no point lying, the results of the soul mate test were public record and anyone could look them up. “No but…”

“So it’s possible you’re mistaken, it’s possible he’s not your soul mate.” Adian cut Kurt off.

“I guess technically it’s possible, but I know in my heart he is my soul mate.”

“Do you know how many couples think that only to find out they are wrong when they take the test? 2,564 couples for every couple that is right.”

“Really? Is that the real number of did you just pick it a random?”

“That’s the real number, I did a project on it for one of my classes…I’m a university student.” Adian explained. “Don’t want you thinking your soul mate is some kid.” He added with a laugh.

“He’s not, he’s studying to be a doctor.” Kurt replied smiling sweetly and bending the truth just a little bit, Blaine would be studying to be a doctor soon enough.

“No…I think I’m going to be a poet…oh…you meant the other guy.”

“Look…what was your name again? Andrew?”

            “Adian.” He replied looking dejected.

“Adian, right sorry, I’m sure you’re a great guy and I’ll admit you are rather attractive, if I was single I probably would go out with you at least once. But when I look at you I don’t get that bolt of lightning, that feeling of home, that sense of forever I get when I look at him. Even if I were to find out he wasn’t my soul mate it wouldn’t matter to me. He’s the one I’m meant to be with. I’m sure you’ll find the person you’re meant to be with as well, don’t give up ok?”

            “I won’t.” Adian said simply.

Kurt gave the blonde a sweet smile before he walked away dialling Blaine’s number as he did.

“Hey baby.” Blaine answered his phone.

            “Hi honey.”

“I’m so glad you called, I was just thinking about you.”

            “I bet you were.”

“Not like that, not right now anyway.”

“So you were thinking about me like that earlier?”

“Did you not notice how tight the jeans you were wearing when I dropped you off at the airport were? I’ve barely been able to stop thinking about your ass in them all day. I just wanted to drop to my knees and worship it.”

“Really now? Maybe if you play your cards right I’ll let you do that sometime.”

“Pretty sure at some point in our lives you’ll let me worship your ass my love.”

“Most likely but for now, seeing as how I’m about to enter the room I share with your brother we should change the subject.”

“Cooper is such a cock block.” Blaine huffed. “Tell me about your day, how was the show tonight?”

“It was ok, honestly I feel like I was a touch off during I’ll Cover You.”

            “I’m sure you were fantastic.”

“You are bit bias sweetie but thank you anyway. Now how was your day?”

“Kind shitty to be honest, it seems everyone at NYADA knows I’m leaving and they are acting like I’m a traitor or something and then that stupid British prick...’

“Adam Crawford?” Kurt asked cutting Blaine off.

            “Yeah, you know him?”

“Um…I kinda dated him for like a minute.”

“And now I hate him even more.”

“Seriously it was a very short relationship and most people would have just considered us friends as opposed to boyfriends, I think we kissed one time.”

Blaine muttered something that sounded like “One time too many.”

“You have nothing to be jealous of honey, now finish your story.”

“Ok so that asshole comes up to me and says to me that he heard I was being kicked out due to lack of talent. Which is so stupid, if they were going to kick me out they wouldn’t wait until the end of the semester they would do it right away.”

“Not to mention you are way too good to be kicked out. What did you say to him?”

“I told him I was leaving to be a doctor and while he’s prancing around on stage as the member of a chorus in some shitty small town musical I’ll be saving people’s lives.” Blaine paused. “I don’t think that about you, you know that right? God, I don’t even really think that about him, he just really pissed him off.”

“I’d say challenge him to Midnight Madness but if everyone is being all pissy about you leaving…”

“They might not vote for me out of spite.”

            “Exactly.”

“But on a happier note I got myself a new medical textbook.”

“Blaine honey, you do know you are going into premed not actual medical school right? You probably won’t need all the textbooks you already have for a while right?”

“I know but they’re interesting. Plus maybe reading them now will give me a leg up when I do go to med school. NYADA isn’t the only super competitive school you know.”

“True, just try not to leave them open to gory surgery photos around the loft, I don’t need to get an earful from Rachel about that.”

“I won’t make that mistake again, apparently reading them while eating breakfast is ‘creepy and morbid.’”

            “It kinda is.”

“It’s totally not! I’m reading about how to save people not kill them.”

“And we all appreciate that but you have got to admit that some people might not want to look at photos of open heart surgery while eating.”

“I don’t think any of my books have photos of open heart surgery in them.”

“It was an example…and I may have bought a book about it back when my dad had his heart attack and I may have been yelled at by Rachel for reading it during lunch.”

“Do you still have that book? Can I have it?”

“It might be a bit outdated but next time I’m in Lima I’ll see if I can find it for you.”

            “Yay!”

            “You are an odd one.”

            “I’ve never claimed otherwise.”

”I know we saw each other this morning but I miss you.”

“I miss you too. I still think I could travel around with you until it’s time for Columbia to start.”

“While I would love to see you every day that’s not possible, first of all there’s not any room on the bus and second and most importantly you need to finish NYADA so those courses can count towards your art requirements.”

            “Stop making sense.”

            “No.”

“Is that Blaine?” Cooper asked walking into the room. “Put him on speaker.”

“Hi Coop!” Blaine said happily once Kurt had put him on speaker.

            “Hey Squirt!”

“Don’t call me that.” Blaine protested and Kurt stifled a giggle as Cooper mouthed along.

“Hey Coop, tell Kurt how his performance was tonight.”

“Wonderful as always, not quite as good as my own of course but definitely the second best of all the cast. We’re going to be cast in a big movie or something based on our performances.”

“Yes I’m sure there are tons of important of casting agents scouting tours that perform in the middle of nowhere.” Kurt commented.

“That’s the spirit.” Cooper exclaimed either not noticing or ignoring his friend’s sarcasm.

Kurt continued to talk to Blaine while Cooper ran to get “room service” aka food from the vending machine for them to satisfy their post-performance hunger. Eventually all the junk food was consumed and the men had to say their goodbyes to Blaine and go to bed so they could be up early the next morning to help finish packing the bus up and head off to their next stop. When Kurt went to check him and Cooper out of their room he was pleasantly surprised to be given a wrapped box with a tag proclaiming it was from his soul mate, he didn’t know when or how Blaine managed to find somewhere that would deliver it to his hotel in time but he loved the little bear inside all the same.
