After meeting Artie, Blaine went to a pub with his friends. There was Rory Flanagan, one of his best friends. The group was still celebrating when one vaguely familiar girl came running to them and she ended up hugging Blaine really tightly. He tried to get away.

“I’m so glad you are here! Have you returned for good? You know, I’ve planned to go after you and find you.” She rambled on but Blaine didn’t answer.

“Are you really going to the match-making? You can’t go!”

“How did you know?” were the first words Blaine uttered to her. She might have slept with her before but how did the news of his date travel so fast that even she knew?

“My friend called and told me she has a date with you! She is really nothing special! She had a plastic surgery before because of her nose and her jaw!”

Blaine didn’t know how to respond to that. Obviously, she wasn’t really close to the other girl, the one, his grandmother had chosen for him as a date, seeing she could tell her secrets this easily. He turned back to his drink but she stopped it, taking the glass out of his hand.

“What are you drinking? We should have a toast, since we haven’t met for a long time!” He tried to get out of the toast saying had like to stick with his wine but she wouldn’t have any of it. Rory even encouraged them to do shots – he was hoping that the shots would shut her up.

That was the last part of the night he remembered when he woke up.

“Money or pride. Which is it?” Kurt was slowly trailing down the street. He was on his way home but he couldn’t find the right answer. Which was more important, he couldn’t decide. He caught his bus home, and pulled out his notebook. He scribbled down the amount of money he needed and the amount he had. It wasn’t pretty.

He was still having a debate with himself when he went to bed. It was a wonder, he could sleep at all but when he woke up, he had his decision.

“Will pride be able to feed us? No, it won’t. Only money can do that.”

Now, that he decided, he needed to call this guy, before he lost his courage. He pulled out the card. Blaine Anderson. He dialled quickly and waited.

“Who is it?” asked a sleepy voice.

“Pizza delivery.” Kurt stumbled over the words. There was an indistinct female voice in the background and then the guy asked again: “What did you say?”

“We met a few days ago when you were with a female friend.”

“Oh, the robber.”

“I’m not a robber. I caught the robber.” Kurt stated. “There are some problems with my scooter and I’d like your help.”

“Could you come over now?”

“What? You want me to come over now?” He thought about it for a second and wished he had waited to have this conversation when he was fully awake but said anyway: “Where is “over there”?”

When he got the address he ended the call. He was flushed and embarrassed but he was smiling. Maybe it will be okay in the end.

Blaine woke up to his phone. He picked it up and he tried to make a relatively normal conversation but he was still half asleep and his head was aching. He got out of the bed, which he had no memory getting in, and carried on with his pone conversation. He ended up suggesting the guy to meet him a bit later. He hung up and turned and found a sleeping girl in his bed. Wait, what?

So he woke up in a hotel room, with a girl in his bed. It was nothing new apart from the fact that he didn’t really have any memories from last night regarding going to this hotel and getting to bed with this girl. So he did the only logical thing and woke her up and tried to get some answers. Well, judging from the fact that he was only naked above his waist, he quickly figured out what had happened. He’d got drunk; she’d carried her home and had put him in the bed. She wanted him to believe that they had slept together – no such luck. He told her to leave and then went to the bathroom. He needed a shower to clear his head a bit and to wake him up. When he came out, wearing a bath robe, she was still there, having breakfast.

“I’ll leave after I wash up.”

Blaine didn’t have time to answer her as there was a knock on the door. While she went to the bathroom, he walked to the door and opened it. It was the guy with the blue eyes from the previous night.

“You really came?” Blaine asked and turned around, walking away from the door. Kurt stopped the door from closing and stepped in. He didn’t really understand what was going on but he followed the guy.

“Are you under-age?” Kurt looked up, totally surprised, and then he shook his head.

“How can you go to the public, dressed like this then?” Kurt bit his lip hard. He knew well enough that his plain T-shirt and baggy trousers were not fashionable but it wasn’t like he had the money to buy designer clothes!

But being criticized wasn’t what he had come here for, so he took a deep breath and started talking.

“At first I didn’t want to ask for a compensation, but the scooter’s engine it damaged and I couldn’t get it to start. I was fired because of it and I didn’t even get paid before they kicked me out!” He could do this; he was even talking in a steadier voice.

“And so, you want compensation now, right?” Kurt nodded.

“How old is the guy, who ran away?”

“He is still in high-school but as dumb as he is, he’ll drop out soon…” Damn! He shouldn’t said that! He felt he should punch the guy for the cocky smile he was showing him. Or better yet, he should punch himself in the face, hard, for screwing this up!

“You can keep talking. I don’t intend to call the police or anything. I’m just interested in how the “underground society” works.”

“What? What are you talking about?”

“Let’s get this straight. You think it is easy to get by in this world? You looked really innocent. So, this is how you’ve managed it to work. This is your first time, right? This must be embarrassing.”

“You’re wrong.” Kurt decided to answer nicely but he was getting agitated because of the false accusation. “I have nothing to do with the guy who ran away.” It wasn’t a lie. Not totally, anyway as it was Quinn who knew Finn, not Kurt.

“Your trick didn’t work, can’t you see it? You, pathetic little boy!”

“It’s more pathetic to be out at night with a woman!” Kurt just couldn’t keep his mouth shut. It really wasn’t his style to suggest a guy needs to hire a companion, to put it nicely, but this fellow started to really get on his nerves.

“Pathetic? Right? You must have felt envious!” Kurt was speechless. This guy couldn’t have been more wrong about him!

“You look down on me because I’m here for the money! You shouldn’t do that!”

“Why are you shouting? Get out!” and there he was, all over Kurt trying to throw him out. Of course, Kurt struggled, he wasn’t finished. He didn’t get what he had come for! They fought back and they lost balance, Blaine fell flat on his back and Kurt landed on his chance.

This was the moment, the girl came out of the bathroom and started screaming about Blaine being gay and then she grabbed her clothes and stomped back to the bathroom.

Kurt got up quickly, checking his arms but luckily there was no harm done.

“Go away.”

“Can’t you give me the scooter’s service fees? I didn’t get paid and it’s still because of that incident.”

“Do your parents know this as well? They must, even if they don’t see you begging like this. Such a son raised by such a father.”

Kurt was speechless. He was okay with the guy insulting him but he was definitely not okay with the guy insulting the memory of his father, Burt.

“Apologize.” he said in a dangerously low voice. “How can you say anything about my parents? Apologize!”

The girl came out of the bathroom – finally dressed – and Blaine looked at them. He wanted both of them out of his life, so this is what he did. He threw them out and tried not to listen to the banging at the door.

Blaine still had a headache but he had promised his mother and grandmother to be here and who would run away from a blind date. Though, the main reason for his headache was not really being hung over anymore but the guy who had followed him to the restaurant. He was sitting behind Blaine’s back and was still demanding an apology from him.

He was scheduled for six blind dates and each of the girls seemed a bit crazier. One was constantly talking on her phone, one was unkempt, one was simply stupid and another one thought that it was a good idea to demonstrate that she can reach her chin with her tongue. Blaine was really tired of them. He was eve tired of the guy who wanted him to say sorry, though he had come up with different ways of demanding it from him. He even made a note that said, ‘Apologize, you punk!’

He got up and went to the toilet. He tried to count how many cups of coffee and how many glasses of orange juice he had drunk – he couldn’t anymore. This experience was just too tiring.

“Apologize!” the voice said behind me as Blaine was taking a piss.

“What are you doing here?”

“Apologize. Apologize for saying those things about my family! And you must also pay for the damage.”

“You have so many demands.”

“You need to keep up your image, too. All those girls, who came here today, were really pretty. So isn’t it that you like men? Just like she said in the hotel room.”

“You… Who is gay?” Blaine asked. He wasn’t getting a rise out of the idea of the assumption of being gay, in fact, he got an idea. His eyes roamed over the boy’s body. He was slender, tall and beautiful, and suddenly he looked a bit uncomfortable and stepped back.

“Can you turn around?”

“Why?” But Blaine didn’t give him an answer just walked around him, checking him out.

“Do you want to play my lover?”
