A few weeks passed and Kurt luckily didn't see Adam again since their little 'fight' at the bar. Blaine and him continued their 'getting-to-know-each-other-dates' a while before they decided that they should finally go through with Kurt's divorce from Adam. They knew it wasn't going to be easy but it was something that was needed to finally happen.
Also it was time for Kurt to have his first sonogram; his belly already started growing since last week and Blaine couldn't keep his hands off of him.
"Blaine!" Kurt called out and tapped his fingers nervously against the table as he waited for him to get ready. "The doctor's appointment is in twenty minutes and if you're not getting your ass over here then I'm going alone!" He said seriously as he ran a hand through his hair.
"Sorry, sorry, I'm right here. I'm not missing this. God, I'm so excited," Blaine rambled and kissed the top of Kurt's head quickly as he tugged on his jacket and grabbed his keys.
Kurt rolled his eyes and stood up from the chair he's been sitting on for what felt like years. "You think I'm less excited? Geez, Blaine. There's this little person inside of me." He laughed and placed a hand on his small and yet slightly visible bump (It was much too visible for Kurt's liking already).
"Sorry, I know. But let's go now. We're late," Blaine laughed and stuck out his tongue at Kurt and grinned.
"Yeah, and that would be because of you, Mr Anderson." Kurt groaned and quickly put on his jacket and shoes before they got down to Blaine's car and drove to the hospital. They arrived about exact twenty minutes later; quickly rushing up where a nurse led them into an empty room right away where Kurt could lay down.
"Still excited?" Blaine asked Kurt with a smirk and sat down onto a chair beside him, reaching out for his hand and giving it a gentle squeeze.
"Yeah, pretty much." Kurt smiled up at him as the doctor walked in and closed he door before he sat down in front of the 22-year-old.
"Hi Kurt, good to see you again. I see it got all figured out in the end, yes?" The doctor smiled and shook Kurt's hand then Blaine's hand. "Today's your first ultrasound, am I right?"
Both, Kurt and Blaine, nodded their heads as the doctor lifted the pale man's shirt up and smiled softly. "Well, I understand why you're both so excited then, and maybe a little nervous, hm?"
"Nervous describes it really good." Kurt nodded and bit his lip as the doctor took Kurt's chart and checked a few things before putting on his gloves and began feeling around his swollen stomach.
"Any pain?" The doctor asked to which Kurt sharply nodded his head. "Are you still throwing up or have you been feeling tired a lot?"
"Just a little tired, that's all," Kurt nodded and looked up at Blaine.
"A little?" Blaine laughed but pressed a kiss to the cheek of the 22-year-old and smiled.
"Good, well then let's see how your baby's doing," the doctor squeezed some of the weird blue gel onto Kurt's stomach and started moving the wand around before he stilled. "Alright, there you can see your little one."
Kurt's and Blaine's eyes widened as they stared at the screen. "Oh god," Kurt whispered as he forced his eyes to look up at the curly haired man next to him again, who was still staring at the screen.
"This is- wow," Blaine shook his head and looked down at Kurt, kissing his forehead over and over. "I can't believe it. Now it's... well, now it all feels real," he mumbled softly.
The doctor let out a soft chuckle as he watched them. "Oh," he breathed out as he began moving the wand again.
"Oh? What's wrong?" Kurt asked, biting his lip as he glanced back at the doctor.
"Did you guys talked about finding out the baby's sex yet?" He asked, looking up at Blaine then back at Kurt.
Kurt frowned a little and squeezed Blaine's hand. "No, actually not. We've decided that we'd like to know but... last time you said that was only possible when I'm 20 weeks. So I thought we'd still have a little time to set the bet," the younger one chuckled.
"Well, last week I could tell another patient that she was having a boy and she was only 10 weeks. That happens, but mostly you find out with 20 weeks, that's right." Doctor Conner said before he continued, "How about you two set your bet now then? Because I happen to know your baby's gender already."
Kurt's eyes widened once more as he looked up at Blaine. "I say it's a pretty girl with your brown curls and my eyes," he chuckled, biting his lip.
"No way. I'm sure it's a boy. Because I want to teach him how to play football and all that sports stuff." Blaine shook his head and smiled.
The doctor smiled softly, moving the wand until the baby could be seen on the screen again. "Okay, guys. I think I have to disappoint you, Kurt, because your partner guessed right. You both are having a boy, congratulations!"
The moment Blaine heard that he'd been right; he practically jumped up from his chair and made a small happy dance before Kurt forced him to sit down again. "Blaine, stop... Fine, you won. But then anyway... he's going to have your curls and my eyes." He said and pouted playfully.
The 25-year-old leaned down, kissing Kurt's lips quickly. "Oh god, I'm so happy. I mean, a girl would've been amazing, too, but a boy?" He grinned. "I love you so much, Kurt," he smiled brightly, sealing his and Kurt's lips together again as the doctor placed a box of tissues next to Kurt so he could clean up his stomach.
"I'll be right back, boys," the doctor smiled and left the room for a moment.
Kurt pulled away from their kiss and sat up a little straighter to wipe off the blue gel. Blaine was still smiling brightly, not really realizing what he'd just said.
"Kurt? Are you okay?" Blaine tilted the younger man's head up to look at him, raising his eyebrows a little. "What's wrong? Are you disappointed that it's a boy?"
Kurt shook his head and bit down on his bottom lip. "You said you love me."
"Oh... Um, are you- oh... I'm sorry, I- I take it back if that's what you want." Blaine stuttered and blushed lightly.
"No, I just... it just took me by surprise, that's it," he smiled softly and brushed a curl out of Blaine's face. "I'm really glad that you've said it, actually..."
The older one nodded his head and leaned into Kurt's hand as he cupped his cheek. "It just came over me I guess. I mean, I think I've said it before how much I like you but... I fell for you really hard back then and now it's just that I know that I love you."
"I love you, too, Blaine. I really do." Kurt replied quietly, pulling him in for another kiss before the doctor came back.
"Alright guys, do you want to have the picture of your baby boy? I got two of them because I thought you both might want to have one." Doctor Connor smiled and handed them the sonogram.
"Thank you, that's really nice of you." Blaine said and took the sonogram, lovingly gazing down at it.
Kurt sat up and pulled his shirt back down, taking the sonogram from his doctor as he felt Blaine's arm being wrapped around his waist; his hand resting on his stomach like always.
"Good, if there's any pain those next weeks I want you to stop by again. And of course if anything happens. But that's it for now, Kurt. I'll see you in a bit." The doctor smiled and shook both of their hands again before they were allowed to leave.
"I still can't believe it." Kurt smiled brightly as he snuggled into the older man's side and kissed his cheek.
"I know right? It's just so amazing." Blaine said and opened the passenger's door of his car for the younger one and climbed into his side after.
"But Blaine... There's something I need your help with..." The 22-year-old fiddled nervously with the picture in his hands and sighed.
"Sure, what would that be?"
"You need to visit my parents with me..." Kurt smiled weakly, "My dad wants to meet you." He added quietly, ducking his head. He knew how much it took for Blaine to get over his father's death even though he practically hated him – but he also knew how scared he was of meeting Kurt's family.
