Author's Notes: Thanks for reading. Let me know what you think and review!
Kurt could not believe how fast the week passed. He was sitting in the library, staring at his open Charms book, thinking about everything that had happened during his first week at Hogwarts. Classes were amazing. Professor Flitwick, his Charms teacher, had already helped him catch up to what he missed earlier in the year and was now excelling in the class. It quickly became his favorite. Other than academics, his social life grew much larger to what he was used to back home. Mercedes and Rachel became some of his closest friends. They would study together and gossip about everything and anything. Kurt also met Wes and David in his classes. The Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff were hilarious together. They were always arguing, but in the best friends kind of way. Kurt spent most of his time with Jeff, Nick, and Blaine, but mostly Blaine.

‘How is it that we have so much in common?’ Kurt thought to himself as he sat in the library with a book out in front of him. He and Blaine had become so close that it was hard to find a time when they weren’t together. ‘He’s just... Perfect.’

“Hey, Kurt.” Nick said as he approached the daydreaming teen.

“Oh, hey.” Kurt said. Looking down at his book, snapping out of his thoughts of a gorgeous boy and his warm hazel eyes. “What’s up?”

“I need your help.” Nick said as he sat down next to Kurt.

“With what?” A confused look crossing the taller boy’s face.

“I have no idea what to wear for the party tonight. Can you help me?” A huge smile revealed on Kurt’s face. If there was one thing he knew it was fashion.

“I would love to.” Nick smiled. “What time is the party?”

“It starts a nine.” Nick said.

“Okay. Well, we should probably go start getting ready.” Kurt packed his things and they both started walking towards Gryffindor Tower. The two walked through the painting, linked arms, and chatting about what they were going to wear that night. They made their way upstairs and into the dorm room. Pulling out all of their clothes the boys sat and tried to pick out their outfits for the night. In the middle of a fierce skinny jean debate the door to the room swung open and banged against the wall. Kurt and Nick jumped and watched Blaine and Jeff come in.

“What are you two up to?” Jeff asked as he looked at the two boys standing close to each other. Kurt quickly blushed when he realized he was holding up a pair of jeans to Nick’s legs and Nick had his shirt raised a little to see where the waistline would be. Kurt dropped his hands.

“Nothing.” The two brunettes answered at the same time.

“Really?” Jeff asked, quirking an eyebrow. “I never thought about a threesome, but it would be interesting.” he said as he walked up and put his arms around Nick’s waist. “What do you think Nick?”

Nick turned and glared at his boyfriend. “Out.” He said, pointing at the door.

“What?” Jeff looked at his boyfriend, surprised.

“Kurt and I are getting ready and both of you are distracting us from the process.”

“How am I distracting?” Blaine asked, standing in the middle of the room, eyes flicking to Kurt.

“Planning outfits takes concentration and both of you are testing mine.” Kurt snipped as he tried to focus on the jeans in front of him. “Now out.” He said as he turned and gave them both a diva look. His eyes softened when he saw Blaine pouting next to him. “Stop it.” Kurt said softly and turning away, back to his clothes, trying to hide his smile.

“Kurt?” Blaine asked moving closer to him. “Kuuuurt?”

“What?” Kurt asked as he put clothes away.

“Are you coming with Jeff, Wes, David, Nick, and I to
the party?” Blaine asked. Before Kurt could respond, Nick rushed over and stood next to Kurt.

“No. Kurt and I will meet you guys there.” Nick said as Kurt shot him a curious look “We’ll see you later. Bye.” Nick pushed both boys out of the room.

“What was that about? I thought we were going with them?” Kurt asked.

“Okay, Kurt. Let me ask you something. Do you like Blaine?” Nick asked with a knowing look.

“Of course. He’s been a great friend since I got here.” ‘He can’t know that I like him. Can he?’ Kurt thought.

“You know what I mean.” Nick said. Kurt avoided his eye. “Okay. I know you like him.”

“Am I that obvious?” Kurt asked quietly.

“Yes. And He is too.” Nick said, exasperated.

“Blaine can’t like me.” Kurt said, picking up his decided outfit for the night.

“Why not? You’re great and from the way I always see you two talking I know he likes you.”

“And how do we act around each other.” Kurt asked as he walked to the bathroom and closed the door. Nick stood outside the door.

“You two are always together, you glance at each other when you think the other isn’t looking, Blaine always waits for you after classes, you walk next to each other so close that your hands almost touch. Must I go on?” The door opened and a sharply dressed Kurt walked out and spun around so Nick could see all of his outfit.

“How do I look.” Kurt asked.

“Blaine will love it.” Nick smirked. “Especially in those pants.”

“Jeez. Don’t turn into Jeff.” Kurt said while giggling.

“That would be awkward since we’re dating.” Nick and Kurt started laughing. After calming down, Nick looked at his friend.

“Blaine likes you Kurt. Go for it. We all know he can be a bit oblivious,” Kurt gave Nick a look. “Okay, he can be the definition of oblivious. So make the first move.” Kurt thought to himself and considered his options.

“Alright.” He finally said.

“You’re going to do it.” Nick asked.

“I’ll do it.”

Blaine stood at the party with his friends, waiting for Kurt to show up. He stepped away towards the water to think. ‘You’ve only known him for a week.’ He thought to himself. ‘he probably doesn’t even think about you in the same way. Just stay his friend. Plus, he’s still adjusting and even though he isn’t as nervous as before doesn’t mean he likes you.” Lost in his train of thought, Blaine didn’t realize Jeff came and stood next to him.

“I know what you’re thinking.” Jeff said to him, snapping him out of his thoughts. “He likes you too.”

“How do you know. He may just need a best friend to look out for him. I’ve only known him for a week” Blaine argued.

“You mean like Nick is my best friend?” Jeff asked.

“Yeah. Like Nick is your... best...friend.” Blaine trailed off as he realized what he was saying. Jeff put a hand on his shoulder.

“Nick and I have been best friends since we were born. Don’t be like we were and ignore your feelings. We spent too much time avoiding it for the sake of friendship.”

“Wow, Jeff. You said all of that without a sexual reference.” Blaine said as he thought about Jeff’s words. ‘He could be right.’

“Yeah. Clearly I need another Butterbeer.” Jeff laughed. “But, seriously Blaine. It doesn’t matter if it’s a few years or a couple of days. You know it’s right when you feel it.” They both stood looking out over the lake.

“Jeff! Blaine!” The two heard their names called out. Turning they saw Nick walking towards them.

“Hey, Nicky.” Jeff said kissing Nick before pulling away and wrapping an arm over his shoulder. “Where’s Kurt?” He asked looking around.

“He’s grabbing us some Butterbeer and saying hi to Rachel and Mercedes.” Nick said smiling at Jeff.

“Nick. Is this what Butterbeer is supposed to look like?” A voice came from behind Blaine.

“Yeah that’s it.” Nick responded. Blaine turned and his jaw dropped.

*****

‘Why is he looking at me like that? Is something on my face.’ Kurt lifted his hand and brushed across his cheek, self-consciously. “Um. Blaine, are you okay?” Blaine shook his head and looked at Kurt and smiled. Causing Kurt to smile back at him.

“Kurt,” Blaine said. “You look amazing.”

“Thanks.” Kurt blushed. He looked down at his outfit. Black Alexander McQueen knee high boots, a pair of super skinny grey pants, and deep plum button up shirt. On top, his hair was perfectly coiffed. The two boys stared dreamily at each other.

“Hey, Kurt?” Nick asked, unfortunately breaking the spell between the two.

“Yeah?” Kurt asked, looking away from Blaine at Nick.

“Can I have my Butterbeer?”

“Of course.” Kurt handed him his drink. “So... what do you guys do at Hogwarts parties?” The three other Gryffindors laughed.

“Well, we listen to music played by students, drinking games, dancing, and some other stuff.” Blaine said. Jeff cut in quickly, before he could go any further.

“You should do what I do Kurt.” He said, innocently.

“What’s that?” Kurt asked warily.

“Find a guy, get him a drink, and when he gets frisky-” Nick clapped a hand over Jeff’s mouth before he could go any further. Kurt and Blaine started laughing when Nick glared at Jeff and Jeff looked at him with wide eyes.

“Why can we never go anywhere without you being good and not mentioning something sexual.” Nick asked. The expression in Jeff’s eyes shifted into mischievous. “Eww.” Nick pulled his hand back. “You licked me.”

“Maybe I don’t want to be good.” Jeff said softly, even though Blaine and Kurt could still hear him. “And I could lick other things, if you want.” Nick swallowed. The two stared at each other for a split second before Nick grabbed Jeff’s arm and dragged him into the woods, away from the trail on the beach back to the castle. Kurt stared after them blushing. Blaine watched them go with an indifferent look. This had happened multiple in years past. Blaine looked back at Kurt.

“Do you want to go-” Blaine started before being interrupted by Rachel and Mercedes.

“Hey, white boy!” Mercedes called to Kurt further up in the clearing behind the beach. “Come join us.”

“Be there in a sec.” Kurt yelled back. He turned back to Blaine. “Want to come?”

“Sure.” With that, the two marched up the beach towards Rachel and Mercedes. The girls were hanging out with a few others students.

“Kurt, Blaine.” Mercedes said. “This is Tina, Mike, Brittany, Santana, Puck, and Artie. You already know your brother.” Mercedes introduced all of them.

“Nice to meet you all.” Kurt said quietly. It was something Blaine noticed. Whenever Kurt met new people he became very quiet and reserved until he got to know them better. But, it wasn’t the timid way you meet a stranger. It was a nervous way that made him seem like he was on edge. Blaine slipped his hand down and squeezed Kurt’s lightly before letting go. Electricity shot up both of their arms. Kurt tensed, but then relaxed and smiled at Blaine.

“Everyone this is Kurt and Blaine.” Mercedes said.

“We know who Blaine is, Mercedes. We’ve been going to school with him for five years.” Rachel said.

“Shut up, hobbit. Let’s skip the intros and dance.” Right after Santana said this music started playing loudly in the clearing. A group of students had started playing on the opposite side of the clearing. The left side, where the band was, quickly became a dance floor. The big group moved to the dance floor and started to move to the beat. Kurt stayed close to Blaine, Finn, Rachel, and Mercedes.

After a few songs he started loosening up and
swiveling his hips to the music. Kurt was starting to feel freer. Soon after, the guys decided to take a break and grab a drink.

“You going to be okay?” Blaine yelled close to Kurt’s ear so he could hear him over the pounding of the bass. Kurt nodded and Blaine went with the guys. They all decided to hang out on the edge of the crowd and watch the girls and Kurt dance, after grabbing Butterbeers and Ice Tonics. Blaine stared at Kurt, who was surrounded by the girls. He was transfixed by the way he moved and shimmied. When Kurt turned away from him, Blaine caught a view of Kurt’s ass and his breath caught in his throat. The pair of pants he was wearing was showing off some great assets.

“Hey Blaine.” Wes said as him and David came up on either side of him. Blaine hadn’t realized that the other guys had left to play one of the drinking games down on the beach. He turned to say and said hi to his friends.

“Good party huh?” David asked.

“Yeah it is.” Blaine said. The three of them spent time chatting and laughing. It wasn’t until the music started winding down that Blaine looked back to find the place Kurt had been was empty. Excusing himself quickly, he set off to find the taller boy. Spotting Rachel near the beach he ran towards her.

“Hey Rachel, have you seen Kurt?” Blaine asked when he got to her.

“Oh, he said he was going to look for you and started walking towards the trail back towards the castle.” Blaine ran quickly to the trail, without even thanking Rachel first. He got to the end of the trail, where the tree line ends and the castle grounds began without seeing Kurt. ‘What if something happened to him.’ Blaine thought.

“Kurt.” Blaine called. “Kurt.”

“Blaine?” A small voice said ahead of him. Blaine ran up the hill to find Kurt leaning against a boulder near the bridge, leading into the castle.

“Kurt.” Blaine sighed in relief. “Are you okay. I was worried when Rachel said you went back to the castle.”

“Blaine.” Kurt smiled up at him. Blaine smiled back.

“Are you okay to walk?” Blaine asked. Kurt nodded with the goofy smile, still on his face. He used the rock to help lift himself up, but when he pushed away he stumbled forward. Blaine caught him quickly.

“So maybe your answer should have been a no.” Kurt just nodded at Blaine again. Blaine tried to lead him up the steps, but Kurt kept tripping. After a minute of debating with himself, Blaine swung his left arm behind Kurt’s legs and hoisted him up until he was carrying him bridal style. Once in his arms, Kurt nuzzled his face into his neck. Blaine tried to ignore the rush of heat shooting south in his body.

“What did you think of the party?” Blaine asked softly as he carried Kurt towards the tower.

“Ferrrtissky.” Kurt muttered into his neck.

“What?” Blaine asked while quietly laughing.

“Firewhiskey.” Kurt said more clearly.

“Yes there was firewhiskey there.”

“It’s good. Very very goooood.”

“Yes it is.” Blaine said. The painting of the fat Lady swung open after Blaine gave her the password and he carried Kurt up to the dorms. When he got inside the dorm he found Jeff and Nick curled up on Nick’s bed, Leo passed out in his party cloths, Peter sleeping with his drapes shut, and Finn’s bed empty. Blaine put Kurt down on his bed and unlaced his boots. Placing them near the door, Blaine turned back to find Kurt had stripped off his jeans and shirt and now wearing a pajama shirt and boxers. ‘How could he do that so quickly?’ Blaine thought to himself while trying to not look at the smooth pale legs that stretched for miles and messed up chestnut hair. Blaine walked back over to the bed and slipped Kurt under his covers before changing and crawling into his own bed. Dozing off quickly to the thoughts of the boy in the next bed over.

*****

Only a few hours later Blaine woke up to the sound of whining. He sat up and grabbed his wand. “Lumos” Blaine whispered and kept his light small, so as not to wake up the others. After a minute of not hearing the sound again he said “nox” and went back to sleep. Just a minute after that he heard the whining again, but this time he heard where it came from. Getting up slowly, he moved to the side of Kurt’s bed. The boys sheets were askew, like he had been tossing and turning all night. Blaine carefully placed his fingertips on Kurt’s arm. He was shocked to find it was covered in a cold sweat. Placing his hold hand on Kurt’s arm he shook the boy softly when he heard a small cry break between his lips. Kurt shot straight up in bed and looked wide eyed at the boy holding his arm. Blaine faintly saw tear trails on Kurt’s face. Without thinking, he climbed onto the bed next to the shaking boy and held him. Kurt snuggled close and held on tight. As if Blaine was going to disappear the second he loosened his grip.

“I don’t know why it keeps coming back.” Kurt whispered softly.

“I don’t know either.” Blaine said, even though he didn’t know what ‘it’ was. “But it’s going to be okay. I promise.” With that the two stayed quiet until they both drifted into a dreamless sleep and without knowing that both of them were thinking the same exact thing. ‘This feels right.’
