Author's Notes: Alrighty, y'all. A couple of you wanted a continuation of this story, so here it is. Hopefully you like it. NOTE: Chapter one CAN be read on its own, as this was originally a one-shot. Chapter two is basically just some awkwardness and fluff. Enjoy!

Kurt hadn't gotten another chance to see Blaine before he had to head back to Ohio. He was slightly disappointed, but he had Blaine's phone number now, so they could text or call each other whenever they wanted.

Kurt thought it would be wise to tell his father about what had happened with Blaine sooner rather than later. Well, not all of it. There were certain details his father definitely didn't need to know.

When they had gotten themselves settled back in Lima, there were a couple of weeks before school would be starting back up.

Kurt was in the living room when his father got back from work, and he decided to tell him about Blaine.

"Hey, dad." Kurt greeted as his father plopped down in the big chair across from the couch.

"Hey, kiddo."

"How was work?"

"Same old, same old."

"Hey, listen, dad." Kurt began. "I need to talk to you about something."

"Everything okay?" Burt asked, a look of concern crossing his features.

"Absolutely. I just...Remember those guys we walked passed down on the beach in Florida?"

"Remember 'em? Of course I remember." Burt said, a tone of anger in his voice. "Took all I had not to rip their throats out. What have you got to say to me about them?"

"Well, remember that party Finn and I went to?"

"Mhhm." Burt hummed gruffly.

"Well, it turns out that one of those guys from the beach, Blaine, was the owner of that beach house. The one where the party was."

"Why didn't you just come back to the hotel then, Kurt? You didn't have to stay at a party you didn't want to be at." Burt looked confused.

"I didn't trust Finn there alone." Kurt sighed. "And besides. That's not what this is about. The point is that the Blaine we saw on the beach, that's not the real Blaine."

"Whada'ya mean, Kurt?"

"Blaine's, um...He's gay."

"If he's gay then where did he get off callin' you those awful names, huh?"

"It's like...A survival tactic?" Kurt said, sounding less sure of himself than he'd like. "He's stuck going there every year, his parents send him there without them, and all the other guys around there aren't so accepting, so..."

Burt closed his eyes, breathing deep, "What are his parents thinkin'? Sending him there with no adult. Where's he from?"

"Um, Westerville, actually."

"Ohio?"

"Mhhm." Kurt nodded. "We exchanged numbers at the party, and we've actually been talking. He comes home from Florida soon, and if it's okay with you, he'd like to get a coffee with me." Kurt smiled shyly at his father, hoping he'd say yes.

"You wanna get a coffee with him?" Burt asked, making sure this wasn't just Kurt being nice, and that it was something he actually wanted to do.

"I do. Very much."

"Then I trust your judgement." Burt nodded his head once. "You just let me know when you're goin', alright?"

"Of course, dad." Kurt smiled. "Thank you."

"No problem, kiddo."

Kurt and Blaine continued to talk as the days passed. Finally, it was the Saturday before school was starting back up, and Blaine had gotten home from Florida late the night before. They had arranged to meet at the Lima Bean at three to get some coffee together. Kurt was pretty sure it was a date. They hadn't said it was a date, officially, but it felt like it was supposed to be a date.

It was a date, right?

Kurt decided not to worry too much about it, and just treat it as if it were a date.

He picked out a nice outfit, consisting of skin tight black jeans, and a very form fitting red button up shirt. He styled his hair to perfection, and headed out the door, saying a quick goodbye to his father on his way out, who told him to have a good time, and be careful.

Kurt arrived at the Lima Bean at quarter to three and decided to find a table to sit at to wait for Blaine. He picked a table that was easily in view of the front door of the coffee shop and sat down, fiddling with his fingers and trying not to let himself get too anxious.

He decided he'd text Mercedes to keep himself occupied.

To Mercedes: I got here fifteen minutes early. Sigh. You know me. I'm getting these disgusting butterflies in my stomach.

To Kurt: Calm yourself, hun. From the stories you've told me about this boy he is obviously /so/ into you. Just be your charming self and you'll be fine.

To Mercedes: Thank you, Mercedes. You always know what to say.

To Mercedes: Ugh, the longer I have to wait the more I'm going to be freaking out.

To Mercedes: He'd better hurry up and get here, 'Cedes, or I'm going to explode.

To Kurt: You're not giving me time to respond between these texts. Just close your eyes and take a deep breath.

Kurt did as he was told, closing his eyes, and taking a few deep breaths in through his nose.

"Kurt?"

Kurt's eyes snapped open at the sound of Blaine's voice.

"Are you okay?"

"Fine. Yeah. Just...Yeah, I'm fine." Kurt said, slightly breathless.

"Are you sure?"

"Yeah. Definitely. So...Coffee?"

"Coffee." Blaine chuckled.

They went up to the counter and placed their orders. When Kurt reached for his wallet, Blaine stopped him, grabbing his hand, "I'm buying." he said.

"You really don't have to." Kurt argued.

"I want to."

"O-Okay."

Blaine paid for their coffee and they went to stand at the other end of the counter to wait for their orders.

Kurt took a minute, then, to look Blaine over. He was wearing a light blue argyle sweater vest over a short sleeved white button up, along with light gray pants. He had removed those God awful earrings that he'd been wearing when they met. Those must be a Florida thing, specifically for his straight persona. Kurt was glad, because although he was certain he could get used to them, he much preferred Blaine without them.

"Kurt, you're staring." Blaine pointed out.

"Sorry." Kurt blushed. "You look...You look really nice, Blaine."

"Thank you. You don't look so bad yourself." Blaine smiled. "And you definitely don't need to apologize for staring at me. It doesn't bother me."

"Oh. I...Okay."

The woman behind the counter handed them their coffees, and they went to sit at a table in the back corner of the Lima Bean, where they could have a tiny bit of privacy.

"Mmm. I love the smell of coffee shops."

"Me too." Kurt smiled. He didn't know why he was so nervous. He and Blaine had been talking for a few weeks now. They'd hooked up in a bathroom, for Christ's sake.

"Are you sure you're okay? You seem a little out of it."

"Yeah. M'fine. Just a little nervous." Kurt admitted, staring determinedly down at his coffee cup, avoiding Blaine's gaze.

"I make you nervous?"

"A little. I guess. Yeah." Kurt breathed.

"Hey, Kurt, look at me." Blaine said, reaching over and grabbing Kurt's hand that wasn't currently wrapped around his coffee cup. Kurt looked up and met Blaine's eyes. "You're adorable, did you know that?"

Kurt could feel himself blushing, "If you think me being nervous is adorable then you need to get your head checked." he joked.

"Nope." Blaine shook his head. "It's totally adorable. Everything you do is adorable."

"Stop." Kurt shook his head.

"What if I don't want to stop? What if I like seeing you blush?"

"Blaine..."

"Yes?"

"Just..." Kurt shook his head again. "I can't with you."

"I'll take that as a compliment." Blaine smiled brightly.

Kurt wasn't used to being treated this way. Like he was something to be wanted and cared for. Sure, Blaine got pretty flirty over texts, but being flirted with over text and being flirted with in person were two entirely different things. Kurt wasn't used to it, but he certainly wasn't opposed to it. He took a sip of his coffee.

"So, are you excited for school to start?" Kurt asked, blushing when he noticed that his hand was still in Blaine's.

Blaine shrugged, "I've missed my friends, yeah."

Kurt nodded, "Hey, Blaine?"

"Yeah?"

"I'm glad you're not an asshole."

"Well, me too." Blaine laughed.

"I mean...I'm glad you're not the guy I first met. I'm glad you're...You, I guess. Yeah, I'm glad you're you." Kurt could feel his eyes trying to fill with tears and he felt stupid.

"Me too, Kurt." Blaine smiled, letting go of Kurt's hand to wipe at the lone tear that forced itself down Kurt's cheek. "I wish you could've met Ohio me before you had to meet Florida me."

Blaine looked sad, and Kurt hated that.

"Hey, don't be sad, okay? I know the real you now, and that's all that matters, right?"

"Yeah." Blaine smiled. "Yeah, it is."

They finished their coffee in silence, Kurt reaching over and taking Blaine's hand in his again after a few moments. Blaine ran his thumb over Kurt's knuckles, and Kurt squeezed Blaine's hand just a bit.

When they were finished with their coffees, they were quiet for a moment longer.

"I'd better get going." Kurt finally said. "My dad will want to hear all about this."

"I'm glad he let you come today." Blaine said. "I didn't give him a very good first impression."

"I explained it all to him. He understands." Kurt assured him. "I'm sure he'll want to formally meet you eventually, though."

"I'd be happy to meet him. I could come over for dinner some time." Blaine suggested.

"Sounds perfect." Kurt smiled.

"I'll walk you to your car?"

"I'd love that."

They got up, and Blaine took Kurt's hand once more. They threw away their cups on the way out the door.

"My car's over there." Kurt pointed to his car a few spaces away.

They walked slowly, neither one really wanting to leave, but knowing they would have to eventually.

Kurt wasn't sure where they stood at this point. Were they boyfriends, or were they just....friends who were working their way up to being boyfriends, or...what? What were they?

They arrived at his car, and Kurt decided that now was as good a time as any to go ahead and ask.

"Blaine are we..." Kurt trailed off as Blaine leaned in, nearly pinning him to the drivers side door of the car, his lips so close they were practically brushing against Kurt's.

"What?" Blaine breathed out, his breath ghosting along Kurt's lips and making him shiver.

"Boyfriends." Kurt finished in a hushed whisper. "Are we boyfriends?"

Blaine leaned in, closing the distance between them and kissing Kurt hard. Their lips moved slowly against each other for a few seconds before Kurt opened his mouth, inviting Blaine's tongue inside. After a moment or two, Blaine pulled away, still far too close to Kurt's face for him to be able to think properly.

"Does that answer your question?"

"I...I think so." Kurt breathed.

Blaine chuckled, leaning in and giving Kurt a quick peck on the lips, "Yes. We're boyfriends. If you want us to be, that is."

"Don't be stupid." Kurt shoved him playfully. "Of course I do."

"Good. Otherwise this would have been awkward."

"That it would." Kurt laughed.

Blaine kissed him on the cheek before slowly stepping back so Kurt was no longer pinned against the car door.

"I'll call you. We can talk about dinner with your dad, yeah?"

"Yeah." Kurt nodded.

Blaine walked away, and Kurt got into his car, turning it on and heading home.

Kurt never would've imagined, upon first meeting Blaine, that he would be in this situation. But here he was. And he liked it very much.

End Notes: Hopefully those of you who were wanting a continuation enjoyed this. :) It really means a lot to me that people like what I write enough to ask me to continue one-shots. So thanks to all of you who read this. I love you guys.

I really like this, I'd love too see it continued to the dinner, with Burt being a bit unsure because of how he first met blaine but then realising how bad blaine has it

I've got some other fics that I'm working on, but if I get a chance I'll see what I can do. :)

:D :D :D :D I desperately needed a follow up to that one-shot! This was so cute and so ugh the fluff is perfect! I wish this was a million words longer but... i'll take what I can get :)

Thank you so much! I wish I had more time so I could write everything that I want to, but I currently have, like, ten stories already in my head that I can't write until I finish my current multi-chapter. :p

this little story was great!!!
