The ride to the hospital was unbearable for Kurt. So much was going on through his mind, trying not to forget the faces of the men, but yet not wanting to let go of the memories, in order to get some justice for both of them. Blaine was slipping in an out of consciousness, his current state was quite unstable, as anyone could tell. He had lost quite a bit of blood, he was frail to say the least.
As soon as they arrived at the hospital, they immediately went to work, diagnosing what the main problem was, and how to fix it. Kurt had to stay in the waiting room, so he took this time to call his brother and the rest of his family.
“Finn… come to the hospital, dad and Carole, Blaine,” was all he managed to say under his breath, for his throat was horribly hoarse from the intense moments of screaming and crying.
Time seemed to have completely stopped existing, Kurt felt like he has been in this hellish nightmare for years upon end, it wouldn’t end. He found himself quietly curled up in a ball as he sat in the waiting room, Blaine’s parents arriving, breaking the once silent room into a loud and emotional scene.
“Kurt… what happened?” Blaine’s mother asked as she ran up to him and tightly squeezed him with a reassuring hug. His father, on the other hand stood there, his face plastered with sheer coldness and resentment towards Kurt.
“… and that’s how we got here,” Kurt said after a long and intricate story, many tears shared between his mom and him, his father’s face still unyielding to show any emotion, completely blank. By that time Burt, Carole and Finn had just arrived.

“Finn…” Kurt quietly said as he walked towards the gargantuan highschooler, holding onto him, he needed his older brother to comfort him.
“It’s okay Kurt, I promise…” he whispered as he patted him on the back, holding him as Kurt’s tears stained his long sleeve shirt. Finn wasn’t going to cry, that wasn’t him, but he couldn’t help but inherit the morose aura that surrounded and choked the happiness out of everyone.
After explaining the long and complicated ordeal, the doctor came out with his clipboard and quickly said “You may see him, but he’s very emaciated, don’t strain him. He’ll need his strength,” with a lifeless look.
Blaine’s parents visited their son, taking about 15 minutes before Blaine had been yelling at them to see Kurt. His mom walking out, her face stained with mascara and nodded, giving him the okay to go see his bedraggled, yet irrevocably beautiful boyfriend.

Walking into the bright and barren room, Kurt let out a sigh of relief as he saw Blaine turn his head slightly to greet Kurt with a look that could brighten even the darkest of times.
The young brunette felt his heart stop for nearly a second as he saw his boyfriend finally safe and sound, in the care of professionals. Tears were making a grand escape from his tear ducts as he slowly strode over to Blaine with a face that could say a million words.
“I’m… I’m so glad you’re okay,” Kurt breathed as he fell on his knees at Blaine’s bedside, taking his hand into his and slightly kissing it, tears flowing by the bucket load from him. Hands rapidly shaking, he bit his lip and looked up at the hospitalized man who had tears smoothly gliding down his cheek.
“You have no idea how… well happy doesn’t begin to describe how thankful I am that you’re okay. Forget what happened to me, I’m more at peace with the fact that you’re okay Kurt. These wounds will heal, but if something were to ever happen to you, I wouldn’t be able to live with myself. I love you Kurt,” Blaine whispered at the end, gripping Kurt’s hand as tightly as he could, reluctant to let go.
“I love you too Blaine, more than you’ll ever know,” Kurt whispered, pulling up a chair besides Blaine and happily laying his head on the crook of his shoulder. “But you need rest, sleep now babe,” he added in an almost hushed tone.
And so the two slept the night away, but Kurt was awakened not too much later, his parents were forcing him to go home and rest. Before leaving the room, he planted a small quick kiss on Blaine’s forehead, smiling at the sleeping patient before him.
“I’ll be back tomorrow,” he quietly said as he left the room, his fingers dragging across the white walls, begging as if they had a mind of their own and wished to stay with him.
