Author's Notes: Here goes the first chapter I put on this site. I hope everyone likes my story! I realize this chapter is short, but I will try to get better about that. Next one should be better.
Kurt Hummel got out of his car and walked into the Lima Bean, up to the counter.
"Just a hot chocolate, today. Thanks." he said to the girl at the counter. She smiled and turned to the coffee machine, putting warm water in a cup. she stirred in the powder and handed the cup to Kurt.
"Two-fifty." she said, and Kurt grabbed his wallet out from his bag. He knew there were a couple of quarters in there somewhere, so he picked through, resulting in a mess of change on the floor. He scrambled to pick it all up, and finally a boy helped him.
"Thanks." Kurt said with a smile, looking at the green eyed beauty standing in front of him.
"No problem." he said, in a voice like butter. No too low, not too high. It was perfect.
"Blaine." he said, offering a hand. Kurt shook it, and then raised an eyebrow.
"Kurt." he said, in somewhat of a daze. The internal voice in his head told him to just go sit down at a table.
"Well, it was a pleasure meeting you Kurt." Blaine said, which made Kurt smile, putting a shine in his eyes that hasn't been there for God knows how long.
"You too, Blaine." and with that, they parted. Kurt couldn't help but to glance at him every now and then, loving the way his lips parted with concentration all over his face. Too soon, it was time for Kurt to go home to his father.
"Hey dad, smells good." Kurt called, and he heard a pan fall in the kitchen.
"Nice." Kurt said as he walked in upon his father's mess. There was an egg on the floor, along with a bowl, and a ton of flour.
"Oh, shut it." Burt grumbled. Kurt smiled and helped his dad clean up the mess.
"What are you trying to make, anyway?" Kurt asked.
"Chicken." Burt said, and they finished cleaning. They hugged, and Burt took off the apron he was wearing.
"Got any homework?" Kurt's father asked him, and Kurt nodded.
"Not too much, but enough to drive me insane. I have to finish an essay for english, no big deal, think of a song traditionally sung by a girl for Glee club, and then there's math." he said with a sigh.
He went to his room, put his bag on a chair, and fixed his hair quickly. He nearly skipped down the stairs, and to the table to set it up for himself and his father.
Burt placed the chicken on the table, along with the french fries, and they sat down to eat.
"Why do you look so cheery?" Burt asked, putting a fry in his mouth.
"Just a good day, I guess. I had some great hot chocolate at the Lima Bean." Kurt said, while really he was thinking, 'I met a gorgeous boy, and he helped me pick up me change.'
"Oh, well that's good. So, we gonna decorate fro Christmas this weekend?" Burt asked. Kurt's eyes lit up. It was November 27th, and Christmas was his favorite.
"Of course!" Kurt squealed. The night passed by fast, Kurt's dreams haunted by Blaine.
Every day after that, he stopped at the Lima Bean, looking around for his beauty.
'Kurt, stop, he might not even be gay. Just let it be and stop chasing after him.' his mind told him every time he didn't see Blaine.
Eventually his own little angel walked into the shop and smiled at Kurt.
"Hey Kurt, how are you doing man?" Blaine asked him.
"I'm fine, a little bully troubles, but I'm getting through it." Kurt told him with a half-heart smile. Blaine frowned, and then sat together.
Blaine watched Kurt as he sipped his coffee. He couldn't even talk.
"What's your number?" Blaine asked, hoping it wouldn't freak Kurt out. He probably wasn't even gay. 'I have no chance.' Blaine thought to himself.
"Here, where's your phone?" Kurt said, handing his to Blaine with a new contact file opened. They typed in their numbers and smiled at each other, both giddy like school girls.
Both clueless about anything and everything that had to do with the other.
End Notes: Yes, Falling in Love in a Coffee Shop is in fact, a song by Landon Pigg. Listen to it if you haven't, it's a sweet song :) I don't know if it was November in Never Been Kissed, but it was outside the show, so yes, it shall be, because I said so.
