It’s official: the rumors are true, and head executives at Dalton are indeed going forward with a spinoff for post season three. We went straight to the source, of course – Blaine Anderson, who’s on tap to continue his role in the new show.
I: So, it’s official then – you’re definitely onboard to film a Dalton spinoff?
BA: I sure am! There were a lot of talks had about this project or even if we should do it, but the main thing is that James, Toby, Eddie and Tom are all headed to New York after graduation.
I: Should we expect more of James and Toby together in the spinoff?
BA: (laughs) I imagine that Joby will live on in some form.
I: What else can you tell us about the new show?
BA: Well, like I said, it’ll be post-graduation, so the boys will be headed for big city life and college.
I: Dalton already pushes the limits when it comes to edgy story lines and more of an adult appropriate content. Do you see that continuing on the new show?
BA: Of course – but really, Dalton’s not that far out there. Kids today see and do much worse than we ever show on TV.
I: This would also mean a move to New York, as that’s where the spinoff would be filmed, correct?
BA: It would! Which is great – New York is an amazing city.
I: Did the fact that your boyfriend (Kurt Hummel) will be in New York next year factor at all in your decision to do it?
BA: I’d be lying if that wasn’t a perk of the decision. Ultimately, it’s my career and he supports me in whatever makes me happy.
I: A lot of critics say it’s risky to spinoff Dalton – do you think that’s true? And what happens if it doesn’t get picked up?
BA: (laughs) If I listened to the critics, I’d never get out of bed in the morning. We’ve got a great team of writers and producers who are working hard on it. I’ve seen the script for the first episode and it’s amazing.
I: When does filming start?
BA: Next week. I’ll be flying out to New York to film over the holidays, while Dalton is on hiatus.
You heard it here first, folks. Dalton spinoff is a go!
Sound off below on what you think of the idea.

“You okay?” Blaine asked. Kurt had gone paler, if that was possible, standing there on the street, staring up at the building in front of them.
“Yeah,” Kurt said quietly. He took a deep breath and squared his shoulders. “I’m good. Let’s go in.”
They all picked up their bags, Kurt’s father conferring with the driver and slipping him a tip before heading inside. The doorman let them in without question. “Mr. Anderson is waiting for you,” he said. “Take the elevator up to the top floor please.”
Kurt arched an eyebrow at Blaine, who shrugged. So his family liked penthouses. They managed to all squeeze in the elevator, packed in like sardines with their bags wedged between them. Blaine was nestled tightly against Kurt, which was both amazing and torturous at the same time, given the stirring in his groin. The elevator finally came to a stop and then stepped out into the entryway. Grace moved forward, knocking on the door.
“Wow, dude,” Finn muttered. “This is really nice.”
“Yeah,” Kurt agreed. “So you probably shouldn’t touch anything.”
“Hey,” Finn replied, offended. Blaine smiled, amused.
“Finn, you broke Rachel’s nose last year just by dancing too close to her. I shudder to think of what you could unintentionally do to a priceless piece of art.”
Whatever Finn was going to say in response was lost when Blaine’s father opened the door. Grace led the way inside, only pausing to let his father kiss her on the cheek.
Blaine held tightly to Kurt’s hand as they went in, the last ones to cross the threshold. His father was in the middle of greeting Kurt’s dad when they brought up the rear of the group. “Congressman Hummel, it’s an honor to meet you,” Carl said, shaking Burt’s hand.
“No need to stand on formality,” Burt replied, returning the handshake. “God knows I don’t. Call me Burt.”
“Burt,” Carl repeated. “And this must be your lovely wife.”
“Carole,” Carole provided. He took her hand and kissed the back of it. Blaine rolled his eyes.
“He’s laying it on thick, isn’t he?” Kurt murmured. Blaine nodded.
“And this young man?” Carl addressed Finn, reaching out to shake his hand too.
“Our son, Finn,” Burt answered. Carl turned to see Blaine standing there, holding Kurt’s hand. He thought he saw something flash through his father’s eyes, but it was gone before he could be sure.
“Hello, son,” Carl greeted. “I trust you’ve been well.”
“Very,” Blaine muttered.
“Aren’t you going to introduce me?” Carl wanted to know. Blaine sighed.
“Dad, this is my boyfriend, Kurt Hummel,” Blaine said. Kurt gave his hand a reassuring squeeze. “Kurt, this is my father, Carl Anderson.”

Gah. Pap pics. I never know whether to reblog them.
They don’t look too upset by them.
I wonder how long Kurt’s been in LA. And who are those girls? Where’s the chick that goes to school with Kurt?
I’m here! The girls are Santana Lopez and Brittany Pierce – they go to school with me and Kurt. I heard something at school about Kurt spending the holidays in New York – I bet he’s going to be with Blaine!
God, between these pics and the fact that Blaine is filming the spinoff, I don’t know what to
do myself.
#GPOY.

“Pleasure,” Kurt greeted, holding his hand out for Carl Anderson to take. They shook hands and Kurt made sure to keep his grip firm.
“Likewise,” Mr. Anderson said. “All right, now that we’re all introduced, why don’t we get settled in?”
He directed them to the bedrooms, of which there were four, Kurt noted - one for Blaine’s parents, one for his, one for Blaine and one for him and Finn to share. He sighed – he didn’t mind sharing with Finn, but his brother was a pain most of the time, and a slob the rest of the time. Plus, it really sucked knowing that Blaine would be across the hall and Kurt couldn’t just curl up in bed with him to sleep.
He sighed, setting his bag on the bed and set about unpacking. Finn tossed his bag in the corner and then flopped on the queen-size bed, TV remote in hand. Kurt eyed him as Finn flipped it on and found some TV movie to watch.
Between Blaine’s father and their current sleeping arrangements, it was going to be a very long week.
