Author's Notes: Woot! You guys made it to the end! The ending's real short, sorry bout that!

Kurt led the man up the stairs and into his room. A faint blush colored his cheeks at the realization that the boy he loved was now in his room, alone. Kurt scolded himself mentally. He could not think that right now. He motioned for Blaine to sit in his desk chair while he took a seat on the foot of his bed.

“What-what happened, Blaine?” Kurt questioned after a drawn out silence.

Blaine’s gaze was trapped on the boy in front of him, unable to tear his eyes away. His hands began to shake as he spoke,“ Sam and I were in combat. We were fighting a German troop when we were ambushed from the east by another troop. We weren’t expecting it. They overpowered us and the battle lasted two hours. Reinforcements came but by that time Sam was shot dead and I had a bullet wound to my leg and third degree burns to my arm,” he lifted his left arm in emphasis, “I was also knocked unconscious by an explosion nearby when a grenade hit. I wasn’t able to write you back, and I’m sorry.”

Kurt was openly crying now. Blaine had been so close to death in some hospital somewhere while he was here thinking of trivial things. Appropriate words evaded him so he simply ducked his head and wept. Blaine continued on though, “and I’m sorry for showing up this suddenly and out of the blue. But I just had to come and see you once I came back home. I had to see you first. Kurt your last letter… please tell me who you were speaking of.”

Kurt’s eyes snapped up in surprise and fear. Should he tell him the truth or lie? Blaine was obviously not disgusted and repulsed by him, which was a relief to Kurt. Could he say the same once he revealed the truth? The older man was giving him a look of expectation, fear, and… was that hope he saw? Shaking off the notion, Kurt took a deep breath in and breathed out. “You. I was speaking about you.”

Blaine let out a shaky breath and surged forward towards Kurt. He knelt in front of Kurt and took his hands in his own. His eyes were glassy and wide and full of emotion Kurt couldn’t begin to understand. “Kurt, there is a moment in our lives that we say ‘oh there you, I’ve been looking for you forever.’ I had one of those moments, about you. I have loved you from the first time I saw you. You were the last thing I thought of when I was thrown by that grenade and your face was the first I saw when I woke up three weeks later. Kurt, you have always had my heart.”

Blaine’s words trailed off at the end just as his hand came to rest lightly on Kurt’s cheek. He leaned up and pressed their lips together in a firm and passionate kiss. Kurt felt a fire rise up in his toes that burned its way to his head slowly. His lips, reacting on their own accord because his mind was too busy processing the fact that he was kissing another man and kissing Blaine, moved against the other pair of lips incessantly. Kurt gripped Blaine’s uniform tightly in his hands and pulled him as close as he could. If this was a dream he wanted to get the most out of it. Blaine moaned against his lips when Kurt mistakenly licked at his own bottom lip briefly wetting the others as well. The older man pushed against Kurt as if there was any more space to fill. His able hand had moved to Kurt’s hair and tugged at it and calloused fingers kneaded his scalp. Kurt was getting lightheaded and dizzy with the amount of emotion that was filling him up to his very core. He pulled out of the kiss just far enough so their lips were brushing one another. Blaine was breathing heavily, his chest rising and falling in erratic motions. Kurt didn’t realize he was crying until he felt Blaine’s thumb swiping gently at his cheek, wiping away the drops. Blaine dropped one last kiss to his lips before sitting back on his heels.

“I love you Kurt Hummel.”

“I love you too Blaine Anderson.”

Blaine’s face exploded with an Earth shattering smile, something Kurt had been dreaming of since he left Lima. Blaine leaned in once again so that their lips were barely touching; his eyes boring into Kurt’s with such an intensity it made Kurt’s entire body shiver. “Be mine?”

“Always and forever.”
