Old Enemies

#Ring ring!#

Kurt sighed as he turned around to face his bedside table where his phone was ringing violently. Unknown number.

"Uhhh!" Kurt moaned loudly as he picked up his phone.

"Hello?" Kurt yawned.

"Hey Kurt!" Kurt didn't recognize the voice on the other end the phone.

"Who's this?"

"Kurt! You must remember me! It's Seb!" Seb sighed.

"Oh! Hey, Sebby!"

"Yeah that's me!" Seb chuckled.

"What's up?" Kurt hadn't heard from Sebastian in, well, forever.

"Well, I just wanted to talk, that's all." Seb insisted.

"Uh, no, Seb. You want to talk about something in particular. Maybe, a certain Dave?"Kurt smiled. Just after he said it he remembered that Seb and Dave weren’t together anymore. He was about to correct himself but Sebastian continued.

"Yeah. And a-a certain Jared." Seb sighed sadly.

"What's happened?" Kurt was suddenly worried. Anything could have happened.

"Well, he-his parents wanted to speak to me yesterday. It was about h-his d-death. Oh god, I-" Kurt could hear Seb crying loudly.  An awkward moment past when all Kurt could hear was Seb sobbing.

"Seb?" Kurt whispered.

"Yeah, Kurt. I'm still here. Unlike, some of us!" Seb sobbed loudly.

"Seb. I'm so sorry, I wish I could give you a hug over the phone but... I'm so sorry." Kurt whispered.

"No, no. It's ok, don't worry." Seb recovered quickly.

"What did his parents have to say?" Kurt said quietly. He always found death hard to talk about because of his past experiences.

"Uh, the person who 'hit' him has been locked up for 7 years." Seb said still sounding upset.

"That's good, right?" Kurt wondered.

"Yah, but it wasn't his fault. It was mine..."

"No! No way! It wasn't your fault; it was the guy who hit him's fault." Kurt said uncertainly.

"Kurt? Can we change the subject? I just feel kinda wierd talking about this. Besides, I want to ask you about college!" Seb automatically sounded happier.

"Haha! What do you wanna know?" Kurt laughed.

"Have you met anyone?" Seb chuckled.

"Oh, uh, maybe." Kurt laughed nervously.

"Ooh! Tell, tell!" Seb giggled.

"His name is Robbie, but I was thinking about ending it with him." Kurt said grimly.

"Why? Wait, does Blaine know?" Seb was really interested.

"Because, I'm not sure if I really love him. And, no. I haven't told Blaine yet." Kurt whispered as he remembered that Robbie could have been in the apartment.

"Oh, I'm sorry to hear it."

"Yeah. Oh my god! I have to go! I'm so sorry!" Kurt said when he realised what the time was.

"That's ok! Talk to you soon!" Seb laughed.

"Bye!"

"See ya!" Kurt grinned.

Kurt used to hate Sebastian but that was only because he had been out to steal Kurt’s boyfriend. Kurt wondered whether he would hate Sebastian if he and Blaine got together now. Kurt knew he would. Kurt wanted to love Blaine once again but he knew the time would come soon enough.
