Together Forever

Kurt looked up at the stars in the midnight sky as he sighed deeply.

“Hey. Not having fun?” Blaine came through the sliding doors out of Rachel’s vast house. Kurt turned around to face him.

“No, not really.” Kurt replied quietly.

“What’s up?” Blaine said as he sat down next to him on the stairs.

“I keep thinking about us and how we’re gonna break up.” Kurt whispered almost silently. He could see the glistening tears forming in his boyfriends eyes. Blaine laughed sadly as the cold, sharp wind blew in his face. Rain started to fall. The raindrops hit across his face roughly. Kurt couldn’t tell which were Blaine’s tears or the rain.

“Listen, Kurt. I-I…” Blaine trailed off. He stared into Kurt’s eyes. His Kurt, “I want to make this work.”

“So do I.” Kurt whispered back, taking Blaine’s hands into his cold and wet ones.

“Then anything can happen. Sometimes, when you love someone, you have to let them go.” Blaine’s lips trembled before he laid his head sadly on Kurt’s shoulder, his wet hair plastered across his face.

“I want to spend the rest of my life with you. I-I always imagined me proposing to you in a peaceful park, the stars shining, and moon beaming down on us. I would take your hands and say ‘I want to spend the rest of my life with you. Will you marry me?’ and then,” Blaine sighed, “You would laugh and say yes loads of times and we would walk off into the distance.” Blaine could see his boyfriend wiping his eyes. Kurt looked down at his true love.

“A-and we would live in New York, with Toronto our first adopted kid and-“

“Elizabeth, after your mum.” Blaine interrupted Kurt. Kurt only smiled.

“We would, b-be known as the best father’s ever a-and we would never let our kids be bullied or anything-“Kurt could finish his sentence as his voice was wobbling too much for him to carry on.

“And you would have all these amazing roles on Broadway, I would be a radiologist and we would just have the best life ever.” Blaine whispered. He took his head off Kurt’s shoulder and looked at his boyfriend.

“I don’t wanna leave you Blaine; I mean who will be here to provide fashion tips for you?” Kurt and Blaine both laughed sadly, “I’m serious, you’re the best thing that has ever happened to me. You’re my whole world.”

“I need you. More than anything else in this whole world. A-and we’ve just gone through so much together… I don’t want you to go.” Blaine mumbled as he held Kurt’s cheeks with his wet hands.

“I-I don’t want to go. Never, I want to stay with you forever and ever, but we both know that can’t happen. Look Blaine, if you really love me, then you just have to keep holding on to what we have. And if you don’t, then you can go and find another guy.”

“No, I love you. I-I’m just gonna miss you.” Blaine whispered nearing his boyfriend’s mouth with his.

“Then anything can happen. Anything at all.” Kurt said as he could feel Blaine’s warm breath on his freezing cold face.

“I love you. And I’ll do anything for us to stay together forever.” Blaine murmured as he looked straight into his lover’s eyes.

“Always and forever.” Kurt whispered before feeling a similar sensation he loved and would never forget.
