Je t’aime
Blaine tiptoed across the room. He bent down over his boyfriend’s bed where Kurt was sleeping like an angel. Whispering, so he didn’t wake any of friends Blaine said:
“Wake up babe.”
Kurt rolled over, still sleeping soundly.
“Wake up sugarplum,” Blaine shook Kurt’s shoulder softly.
Kurt stayed still, enchanted by his dream.
“For God’s sake Kurt,” Blaine muttered angrily. Blaine strode across the room to the bathroom where he filled up a large bucket with cold water.
“Blaine? Were you thinking of pouring that on me?” Blaine turned around to see Kurt standing in the doorway with one hand on his hip.
“No, no, of course not,” Blaine chuckled nervously. “This, um this is for Finn. Because he’s really really really thirsty.”
“You are such a bad liar Blaine. I can’t believe you were actually going to pour freezing cold water on me!”
Blaine hung his head in shame. Kurt burst into fits of laughter. Unfortunately for them, this woke the other male members of New Directions. And then the complaints began.
A FEW MINS LATER!
Kurt walked down the stairs leading into the lobby. Blaine was sat on one of the chairs, drumming his finger nervously on the table.
"Wow, Kurt, you clean up nice."
"What’s that supposed to mean? Are you saying I looked bad before?!" Kurt said, shocked.
"Uhh, no, umm, sorry?"
Kurt stared at his ridiculous boyfriend. He started laughing. "Hahaha got ya! You should've seen your face! You were like, uhh, I’m so sorry, blah blah blah. Kurt yelled at him.
"Very funny, cupcake. Come on." Blaine took Kurt’s hand and they walked out of the door. Kurt was looking at the surrounding buildings, looking like a kid in a toy shop for the very first time. Blaine looked at him.
"God he's so cute!" he thought.
They arrived at L'Ambroisie, it looked amazing. The doors were covered in lights, the people looked friendly and the atmosphere was romantic.
"Aa, Pierre, mon ami. Avez-vous notre table prête?" said Blaine fluently.
"Oui je le fais, jeunes Blaine" replied the french guy, who was called Pierre, as Kurt gathered.
"You never told me you speak french!" Kurt whispered to Blaine
Blaine was about to say something when Pierre showed them their amazing seats.
"Il n'est pas trop?" said Pierre
"non, non c'est beau" Blaine replied immediately.
They sat down as Pierre gave them the menu. Pierre walked away.
"Blaine, this is so expensive. I mean 50 euro’s for a main! What?" Kurt whispered worriedly.
"No, don’t worry babe. My dad’s paying for it."
"That doesn’t make me feel any better!" kurt yelled quietly.
"Look, Kurt. Why can’t you just be happy I bothered to do this? Why can’t you ever have fun?"
Kurt got up suddenly and walked off.
"Kurt?!" Blaine shouted after him.
Kurt turned around angrily. He put his hand on his hip.
"YOU THINK IM NOT TRYING? YOU DONT THIS I WANT THIS TO BE PERFECT? I DO! FOR GODS SAKE BLAINE!" he crumpled up his face and ran off.
Blaine sat, shocked and worried. Pierre came up to him.
"Continuer, faire amende honorable. Vous l'aimez"
"Merci" said Blaine before running off.
He saw Kurt sitting on a brick wall crying softly to himself. Blaine sat down next to him. He put his hand on Kurt’s shoulder. Kurt pulled his arm away from him.
"Kurt, I’m sorry, I shouldn’t have said it. I know you're trying."
Kurt looked up at Blaine with a tear streaked face.
"We can’t be together, Blaine."
"Wait, what? Are you breaking up with me?"
"No, but we will. I mean, I’m a senior, you're a junior. You won’t be with me at college. And we can’t hug or kiss without being ridiculed about it."
"Look, Kurt, I will do whatever I can to make this last. I love you. There I said it. I love you, and you love me and you know it." Blaine edged nearer to Kurt and was a millimetre away from his lips.
Kurt could feel his heart racing, the same way it was when Blaine kissed him for the first time.
Blaine’s lips brushed lightly against Kurt’s, before he pulled Kurt into a more passionate kiss. When they parted, Kurt laughed.
"What?" said Blaine
"This is the first time you weren’t nervous about kissing me."
Blaine took his hand and they walked back to the restaurant.
