Kurt wandered into the dark bar a little worriedly, his eyes darting around the unfamiliar environment uneasily. One look at the place and Kurt had decided that he regretted coming, but it was too late at this point. He was swallowed into the dance floor, dozens of people jumping and thrashing to the general beat of the music around him. Kurt hardly had time to think.

No sign of Blaine, though...

Kurt felt awkward, kind of. He had only just gotten the job working for Blaine, and now he was surrounded by all of his crew, who all were fairly familiar with each other, but had no clue who Kurt was. And Kurt had no idea who these people were. It was very unnerving for him.

Kurt made his way through the crowd, pushing people away lightly, to get to the bar at the other end of the building. He was relieved to find an empty stool in the corner.

He ordered a Shirley Temple, and allowed himself to examine the room a bit more. The lights were low and strobe lights made making out a particular face quite a difficult endeavor. He recognized Blaine's manager, whose name slipped Kurt's mind at that moment, seemed to be in deep conversation with a couple other of people in a corner, drinks in hand. But really, every other face was a stranger to Kurt.

Kurt's Shirley Temple arrived and he took a careful sip, swallowing and letting out a heavy sigh. Yeah, coming here was definitely a mistake.

"Hey, Kurt! What are you doing all alone?" Kurt's head whipped around at the voice. "And what is that? A Shirley Temple? God, Kurt, you haven't changed at all."

Kurt took a moment to take a good look at Blaine. He was definitely drunk. Or at the very least, tipsy. His hair was out of control, not tamed down with gel or even brushed out a bit. His clothes were in somewhat of a disarray from dancing, and his voice was somewhat slurred.

"Blaine! I... Yeah, it is. I don't like to drink. And I just don't know anyone here."

"You know me." Blaine said simply, before turning to the bartender. "Hey, can you get Kurt here something to drink? Doesn't matter what, be creative. Make it strong."

"Oh, no. No, Blaine. I don't want-" Kurt started.

"Shush. You need to let loose." Blaine said, taking a glass full of a dark liquid from the man at the counter and handing it to Kurt carefully.

"What the hell is this? It looks disgusting." Kurt brought the glass up to his nose and inhaled, quickly turning away, scrunching up his face in disgust.

And there they were. The infamous puppy dog eyes. The same ones that had made Kurt cave countless times before. And he was about to add another instance to that list.

"This tastes like cement," Kurt whined, putting down the drink after taking the tiniest of sips.

"Just drink it! Have some fun, Kurt! You're so uptight, now. You need to let loose!"

"This still tastes awful." Kurt pouted. Blaine laughed. That laugh. Kurt caved internally, lifting the glass to his lips and taking a reasonable gulp and swallowing. Blaine gave a sort of victorious "whoop", and then Kurt was laughing, too.

"There you go!" Blaine said, cheerful. Kurt grinned, downing most of the glass in another swig. Blaine laughed loudly, and then held his hand out to Kurt. "Here, come on. Let's go dance. This song is ending."

Kurt didn't protest. He could have easily blamed it on the alcohol, which was quickly taking over his system, but truth be told, he would have gone to dance with Blaine completely sober. The beat of the music slowed down and a new song picked up, one that was very familiar to both Kurt and Blaine. Blaine gave Kurt a playful wink before beginning to jump around like an idiot, shouting the lyrics as loud as his voice would allow.

"Here we go again
I kinda wanna be more than friends
So take it easy on me
I'm afraid
You're never satisfied..."

Dozens of Blaine's friends surrounded them, pushing them closer and closer together in the middle of the dance floor. Blaine was oblivious to the crowd, however. Everything was Kurt and this song. He belted out the lyrics, jumping up and down and looking at Kurt with those same puppy eyes, begging him to join in. And who was Kurt to turn down the puppy dog eyes?

"Oh oh, I want some more
Oh oh, what are you waiting for?
Take a bite of my heart tonight..."

Kurt was actually enjoying himself. Singing and dancing with Blaine, just like old times. He was somewhat conscious of the fact that he and Blaine were in such close vicinity with each other, their bodies occasionally brushing up against each other making Kurt's heart beat just a tiniest bit faster, but most of him didn't care. Damn, he missed Blaine so much.

"Hush, hush, the world is quiet
Hush, hush, we both can't fight it
It's us that made this mess
Why can't you understand?
Woah, I won't sleep tonight..."

A sober Kurt would have realized the accuracy of these lyrics in terms of him and Blaine. A drunk Kurt didn't, of course, and he continued thrashing to the beat, pressed up closer and closer to Blaine's warm body. Both of them were singing loudly, never missing a note, despite the increased blood alcohol level.

"Oh oh, I want some more
Oh oh, what are you waiting for?
What are you waiting for?
Say goodbye to my heart tonight..."

Kurt laughed. For the first time in over a year, Kurt really laughed.

"Do you remember when we sang this song together? My sophomore year?" Blaine slurred, pressing closer to Kurt as the song changed to some upbeat song that neither of them recognized. Kurt smiled as he reminisced.

"The foam party? How could I forget it? You told me I looked like I have gas pains when I try to look sexy."

Blaine laughed with Kurt, but looked down and shook his head.

"Only when you try. But you were sexy, even still. You were always sexy. You are so sexy, Kurt."

Even while drunk, Kurt had always had a skeptical mind. Blaine didn't mean that. Kurt remembered that night in his bedroom. Kurt making "sexy faces" in the mirror with Blaine a mere three feet away. He remembered how Blaine had laughed at him.

But then he also remembered a night in November when his reaction to Kurt's "sexy faces" was quite different...

"You don't mean that, Blaine. You're drunk." Blaine smiled, looking down and shaking his head. A few small steps closer, and the two were in such close proximity of each other. Kurt felt Blaine's breath hot on his cheeks, which brought a familiar surge of warmth through Kurt's body.

"I mean it, Kurt. You are the most beautiful boy in the world. I have never stopped loving you."

Before Kurt had a single second to do anything to deter it, Blaine's lips were pressed up against his in a hot and urgent kiss. And before Kurt had time to decide against it, he was kissing back just as hungrily.

Blaine's lips were warm. Familiar. It'd been ages since they've been together like this and... maybe Kurt missed it. Okay, Kurt did miss it. A lot.

The moment ended all too soon, a lapse of judgment running over Kurt.

"I... maybe we should talk about this."

The pair made their way to the edge of the bar, in a corner devoid of all drunken, dancing adults where the two of them could talk in private.

"So, what is this?" Blaine asked, softly, motioning between the two of them. Kurt sucked in the air, making a snap decision that he would most definitely regret later. But as far as that moment went, Blaine's lips parted slightly and looking sweet and perfect and just so kissable, Kurt didn't want anything apart from Blaine. So he spoke.

"Nothing. Not yet, anyway. Tonight it's just us. No labels, no emotions, just you and me, for old times' sake." In retrospect, it was most likely the alcohol talking. But Blaine liked this answer, so he reunited his lips to Kurt's mouth, where their tongues set to work immediately.

"I don't want to stop kissing you." Blaine mumbled into Kurt's lips when they finally stopped for air. Kurt smiled.

"Then don't."
