Chapter 36.
Kiss me.
I waved goodnight too him, closing the door.
"Kurt, I need to talk to you." Dad mumbled, I jumped.
"Don't do that, at least wait for me to turn away." I tittered, a hand on my heart that was now thumping angrily.
He didn't smile. "What's wrong?" I frowned.
"You might want to sit down." He gestured for the chair at the table, I sat down and looked up at him.
"Well, spill?" I didn't like the face he was pulling.
"I've got a promotion." He breathed the words, and flinched as if unsure of how I'd react.
"Oh.. well.. Well done, that's what you've wanted right?"
He still didn't return my smile. "It's in New York."
My face fell. "What?"
"I know, it's quite far but I can have a word with your school and-"
"I'm not going" I stood up.
"Kurt, this could be really good for us..."
"For you, you mean." I corrected, furiously putting a hand on my hip. "You chose now? Just when my life is getting better?"
"They'll be other boys, Kurt. You don't marry the first person you meet you know."
I swallowed. "I can't believe you. I'm not going. You can't force me. I'm 17. I can live on my own."
"Kurt I can't let you live on your own..."
"You're not making me go, dad. Blaine's here. I need Blaine. I want Blaine."
He sighed, "We'll talk about it in the morning."
"My answer will still be the same." I shrugged.
"Kurt, for once in your life can you think of someone rather than yourself?"
I frowned. "Wow dad.. I'm sorry but I thought that my life was completely converted to what suited you or have you forgotten the football team?"
"If you weren't so different this wouldn't be happening!"
"If you weren't so simple minded." I took out my phone, staring down at it intently
"Who're you texting?" he sighed.
"Blaine. I'm not staying here for you to belittle me like you're doing."
"Kurt, put the phone down."
I sent the text. "Go to New York, send a post card won't you?" I grabbed the handle to the front door, and walked out.
Blaine:
What's wrong? xx
Kurt:
Just meet me, there's something I need to tell you. xx
I sat on the wall opposite the house. I swung my legs, the air cold making me shiver. I saw his silhouette walking up from the dark street. I hopped off the wall and started running over to him.
"Kurt?" He asked, unsure. I crashed into his chest and squeezed him tightly. "Kurt what's wrong?" He stroked my back with his hand, "Kurt, talk to me."
"Dad got a job in New York..." I whispered into his shirt, he stopped stroking my back, I looked at him.
"What?" He furrowed his brow. I cupped his face in my hands.
"What do you think?" I asked. I needed to know what he felt, how he felt. He looked up at me.
"I don't want you to go." He said quietly.
"Then I'm not going." I declared, shaking my head and cuddled into him more.
"What?"
"I'm seventeen. Almost eighteen. I can stay, live on my own." I talked myself into it, "I can handle it."
Blaine moved me at arms length. "You'd do that for me?"
I nodded, "You obviously don't understand how much I feel for you." I quoted him, with a wink. He chuckled and pecked my lips tenderly. "Can I come to your house tonight?" I asked, his eyes moved to mine, his teeth touching the edge of his bottom lip.
"Okay." He agreed.
"What's he doing here?" Sebastian sighed from the sofa. Blaine looked at me, I smiled back. "Hello?" Sebastian asked as we walked past him.
"He's staying tonight." Blaine said from the doorway.
Sebastian's face was priceless, I wish I had a camera. "Wh-" He went to say but Blaine shut the door on him.
He turned the lock and whipped around. "You must be talented," I gestured to the guitar. A piano sat in the corner. "You play piano?" He nodded, taking his jacket off and hanging it on the hook. I breathed a smile and looked around. "Your room's nice." I noted, He walked closer to me and moved his lips onto mine a little. I kissed him back with the same softness. "Are we.." I looked at him, unsure.
He shrugged his shoulders. "Do you want too?"
"Yes." I nodded.
Blaine smiled and looked down at my lips. "Can I go freshen up first?" I asked him,
He nodded. "Bathrooms over there." He pointed.
I skipped over to the bathroom, closing the door and looking around. Finding some mints, one, no two. I sucked on them while washing my hands, spraying some spray over my body. I smiled into the mirror, checking my teeth. I swallowed. Hearing music coming from the bedroom, I furrowed and opened the door. Blaine was situated on the bed, guitar in his lap. He moved his eyes to me, tapping his foot. "Settle down with me, Cover me up, Cover me in." He stood up. "Lie down, with me. Hold me. In your arms," He sung. Putting his guitar down, his chest going against mine; still singing. "Your hearts against my chest, lips pressed against my neck," He kept his eyes held on mine.
"I'm falling for your eyes," He touched under them gently. "But they don't know me yet."
"And with a feeling I'll forget. I'm in love now," My heart thumped heavily in my chest.
"Kiss me like you wanna be loved.. wanna be loved.. wanna be loved." I breathed, kissing the top of his jawbone. His eyes closed.
"This feels like falling in love, Falling in love. We're in love." His hands tugged at my shirt slightly, my nose was curving over the crook of his neck. "Settle down with me.." He sung quietly.
I'll be your safety, You'll be my baby." I looked back at him,
"I was made to keep your body warm." He sung, nudging his nose with mine, his breath lurking on my lips.
"Shhhh.." I whispered, silencing his words with my lips. He moved his hands to my sides and pushed them softly up my body, stumbling backwards a bit, the bed cushioned him. Our kiss changed direction. I pressed my lips together, looking at his bowtie, starting to undo it. He smiled through his breath. I looked down at him, kissing him first this time. My teeth lingering on his bottom lip, I could feel him making me swallow. "You sure?" He whispered, sitting up. His tongue sliding across my ear lobe. I nodded.
"Yes, I'm sure."
--
I cuddled closer to him. His eyes were closed. "Blaine?" I whispered, our bodys were still damped with sweat.
"Hmm?" He breathed. I smiled and leaned up onto one of my hands.
"In the song.. you said.. you loved me?" I whispered the end.
He opened one eye and turned onto his side to look at me fully. "I know."
"Did you uuh.. mean it.. or just singi-"
He stopped me with a kiss, "I love you, Kurt." The words sounded better when he said them, I looked at his face and smiled.
"I love you, too." He smiled sleepily and sealed our lips again.
"I'll love you forever." I said against them.
"I'll beat you to it," He smirked, his eyes were closed again.
"Hush little Blainey don't you cry, Kurt's going to sing you a lullaby..."
"Blainey?" He whispered.
"No pet names then?"
"How does Kurty sound?"
"Horrible."
"Exactly," He chuckled but it was distant. I smiled to myself and settled down properly, closing my eyes. Still seeing that look on Sebastian's face. Everytime he said something to me, I'd think of that look, then think of this moment. How happy I was. Sebastian was never going to break us apart. Nothing could. Ever.
THE END.
