Chapter 26.
The Date.
I opened the door, my heart jumping into my stomach.
"Kurt, wow." He smiled, his eyes moved to the side of me. "Good evening, Mr Hummel. How are you?"
I turned, Dad moved his arms to his chest and folded them over each other. "Let's not have a repeat of the other night, huh Blaine?"
"Dad, Really?" I sighed. "Please don't wait up."
I moved past Blaine, closing the door.
"He really doesn't like me, does he?"
"He's being my normal, old dad. He seems to think I'll appreciate it."
"Well he is right, I am a bit of an idiot at times..."
"Let's not talk like that." I smiled, turning to stand in front of him. "Tonight is about us, and our beginning."
He looked at me, our eyes staring into each other. "You're really something, Kurt." He said.
I kept the giggle buried inside, and turned so we walked side by side. "So, where are we going?"
"Meal, then maybe a movie? Walk in the night."
"Sounds pretty perfect to me," I nodded. "We going to Breadsticks?"
"I love the pasta there."
"Good! 'Cause I do too."
He took my hand as we continued our walk down to Breadsticks, our intertwined fingers swinging in the middle of us. I couldn't help but smile all the way there. I was even smiling at the waitress.
"Corner table?" She asked.
"Always the corner table." Blaine grinned. "I'll order our stuff, if you get the seats."
I took the seat next to the window, glancing at the menu. I pressed my hands out in front of me, tapping a beat.
"They will bring it over when it's done." Blaine said, making me jump, I hit my wrist on the side of the table and yelped.
"Kurt?" He asked.
I looked at him. "Yes?"
"What's happened to your eye?"
Damn lighting.
"I ran into something at school."
"It was that kid again wasn't it?"
"No.."
He continued to stare at me.
"..Okay, it was." I mumbled.
He sighed. "We'll go speak to someone about it tomorrow."
"Blaine. I'm fine. Honestly." I forced a smile.
"Well, Well, Well." Was echoed from behind Blaine.
I looked up.
"Blaine and his..sorry.. I forgot your name?" Sebastian's smirked.
"Kurt." I said short.
Sebastian nodded, taking the spare seat. "I wondered why you were so dressed up, baby." Pulling at Blaine's bowtie.
I looked at Blaine, he wore a questioning glare. His lips were tight in a line. "What do you want?" Blaine asked bitterly.
"You not happy to see me?" Sebastian grinned.
"We're kind of busy." I said.
"Doing what?" He snorted.
"On a date." I continued.
He looked my way. "You? On a date with Blaine?" He stuttered.
"Yes."
"Okay your standards have really slipped.." Sebastian laughed, standing up.
"My standards have increased." Blaine said simply.
"He's just not settling anymore." I said.
His eyes turned dark. "Is that so?"
I kept his glare. The side of his lip turned into a smirk before he turned away. There was something not right about that smile.
"I'm sorry." Blaine whispered.
"It's not your fault.. Who can blame him for wanting you back? You're perfect."
He laughed. "I am not perfect."
"Are too."
The food was brought over, silencing our playful argument.
I put a napkin on my lap seeing him raise an eyebrow at me. "What?"
"You think you'll spill something?"
"I am not taking any chances, these jeans are designer and cheesy pasta will be a nightmare to get out."
"Wise move.." He chuckled.

We demolished the food. The waitress came and took our empty plates. I leaned forward.
"So what movie do you have in store?" I fluttered my eyelashes."
"Now that depends." He looked down at my hands and took them in his. "I'm still trying to figure you out...Are you a comedy or a hopeless romantic?"
"You picked my top two. Well done."
"I was hoping so. We won't argue on the film then." He stood up and walked to my side of the table. "May I?" He held out his hand for me.
"What manners, Mr Anderson." I smirked, taking his hand, allowing him to lift me up.
___
It'd gotten dark outside.
"Did you bring a jacket?" He asked.
"No. It would have ruined the outfit, the colours would have been thrown out."
He raised an eyebrow, shrugging his own off his shoulders. "Here."
"No way, You'll get cold!" I mumbled.
"I'm not cold and you're shivering, so take the jacket."
"We're going to be inside of the theatre in a minute anyway." I pointed out.
"Take the jacket, Kurt."
I sighed, placing it around my shoulders.
"Now, see that wasn't so bad was it?" He chuckled, letting a wink pass.
His jacket smelled of him, it was devine.
__
He opened the door to the theatre for me. I walked through and had the blast of popcorn hit my sense of smell.
"Smells good." I smiled.
Blaine grinned.
"Do you cry at movies?"
"Sometimes. You?"
"Rarely." He smirked.
"Let's see that one then." I pointed to the picture.
"You're the boss." He nodded.
