Chapter 24;
Little thing called love.
I perched next to Rachel, watching Blaine walk in only seconds after. He grinned, taking the seat next to me.
"You okay?" He asked, putting the books that he was holding under his seat.
"Mhm, I'm good. You?"
"Great!" He put his leg over his knee.
I leaned into his side, his arm automatically linking between mine. His hand brushing the side of my thigh. I smiled.
"I was thinking," I said. "Maybe.. we could do a duet for nationals?"
"I thought you were guaranteed a solo?" He turned his head towards me.
"I am. But I figured I could share that spot with you.. just for a little bit?"
The corner of his mouth turned up into a small smirk. "I'd never say no to singing with you, Kurt/"
"Yay!" I clapped my hands.
Mr Schuester walked into the room, "Settle down!" He ordered, he walked over to the board and wrote down in a capital scribble. 'NATIONALS!' We all cheered. "Is getting closer. We need dance routines. Micheal, if you can try and come up with a program that is suited for everyone." Micheal nodded, getting his backpack from under his seat.
"I have already come up with a few simple ideas, it's really repetitive at the beginning but I think that simple is better. It needs a cleaner edge though, that's what I'm looking at." Micheal was in the zone, biting the end of his pen.
We got up from the stalls and stood around the room, waiting for him to direct us. He stood and scratched the back of his neck before jumping around so his back was facing us. "One, two, three.. fou!r" We followed his moves step by step. Blaine stumbled but quickly regained himself.
"It's these shoes. They're new."
"Blame the shoes," I winked.
"If I knew we were dancing today, I'd have worn some with more grip."
He slipped again after those words, I grabbed his arm and shifted him up, laughing.
"I think you're getting it.. or nearly anyway." Micheal laughed.
"We'll get it eventually, we just need to practice, practice!" Rachel grinned, holding onto FInn for support. "But, can we get to the singing soon? We need to try and decide on songs." Her voice excited.
"Speaking of songs; I have a question!" I raised a hand into the air, everyone turned their eyes upon me. "Or, more of a request." I turned to Blaine and grinned, "I want Blaine to sing with me at Nationals and I have the perfect song." I bounced on my two feet, leaning forward whispering the song into his ear.
He raised an eyebrow. "Okay?"
I guided him with a push to the steps. The others watched as intruiged as I'd hoped. He grabbed the guitar and placed it on his lap. He positioned it and nodded at me before starting to pluck away quickly. Blaine counted in, whispering numbers into the room.
"This thing, called love.
I just can't handle it.
This thing, called love."
I looked to the side of me, poking Blaine in the side. He winked before he started to sing.
"Oh, this thing called love,
It cries in a craddle at night.
It swings, it Jives.
It shakes all over like a jelly fish.
I kinda like it.
Crazy little thing called loooove."
I stood up, turning so I stood in front of him.
"There goes my baby!"
I tilted my head at him.
"He knows how to rock and roll,
He drives me crazy."
Leaning forward into him, gasping.
"He gives me hot and cold fever.
He keeps me in a cool cool sweat."
Fanning my face with my hand and walked a couple of feet away from him. He shook his head with a humoured expression on his face.
"I gotta be cool, relax. Get hip.
Get all my tracks.
Take the backseat.
Hitchhike.
Take a long ride on my motor bike.
Until I'm ready!
Crazy little thing called love!"

They all cheered. I did a small bow as Blaine put his guitar aside.
"Perfect!" Mr Schuester replied, hands clapping in time to the others.
I grinned as Blaine took my hand into his. My arm started going all fuzzy, looking down at it, seeing his fingers squeeze tighter. I looked up at his face, he smiled. I saw the creases by his eyes and returned his smile. Mercedes had thrown me a thumbs up. Had no one noticed that me and Blaine were together? Did no one really care or something? If it were Quinn and Finn to be together, surely there would be questions, oh how did this happen?
"Me and Blaine are together." I said in one breath.
I saw them exchange glances, "I'm so happy for you." Rachel grinned.
