Chapter 16.
Blame it on the Alcohol.

I had no idea how I became to be sitting on the sofa. The cushions shifted beside me with the weight of Finn.

"What's up?" He asked, lying his head back against the back of the couch.

"Hmm?" I turned my head, it being heavier than expected.

"Jesus, Kurt. You're absolutely hammered."

I nodded. "I've lost all control of my emotions." I mumbled, "And my body feels like it's weighing heavier, which can't be so because I have hardly eaten today."

I turned my eyes back to Blaine. He was dancing to the side of Puck, hips moving against the beat and his eyes were closed.

"You like him." Finn accused with a smile.

I breathed quickly. "I don't know!" My voice groaned with frustration.

"Well you're attracted to him. I can see it."

"God, yes."

I was just kind of glad someone else had said it, it made more sense that way.

"Go dance with him then?" He shrugged.

Psh, like it's that easy.

"I can't."

"What's he going to do Kurt? Turn you down?" He raised an eyebrow.

"Maybe.."

He pushed me forward, I tripped over my own feet, grabbing for anything to keep me stable, falling straight forward into Blaine. I looked back at Finn, glaring. He raised his can to me and smirked.

"Kurt." Blaine smiled.

"I.. I'm sorry. I.."

He grabbed my hands with his and wobbled them from side to side. "You want to dance?"

I couldn't answer, he was completly out of his head. That explains it, he wouldn't look twice at me if he were sober. I smiled weakly.

"You could have another drink? I think I might.."

"Don't you think you've had enough?" I laughed.

He grinned and shook his head, literally dragging me over to the punch table. He grabbed two cup fulls and downed his in seconds. He smiled until I'd finished mine. A new track came on the stereo, erupting music into the room.

He took my sides in his hands with a tight clutch. I jumped, eyes darting to his face, but he wasn't looking at me, his eyes were on my hips. My breath caught in my throat. "Blaine?" I choked, his eyes moved to mine. I became uncomfortable, tight chested. His eyes were so beautiful, a really light crimson brown. I couldn't speak, I was making a fool of myself.

An hour passed. Everyone was knocked out, most on the floor. Except for Brittany who was lying across the arm of the sofa, hands pressed out in front of her.

"Kurt." Blaine whispered.

He was laying beside me, I turned my body so I could look at him. "Night." He said.

I half smiled, "Night."

I stayed quiet, closing my eyes. Everything was just too exhausting to consider, I fell asleep in seconds.

"Not the light!" Puck shouted, his arms shielding his face.

"Dad said you all have to be out by 1, we have a guest coming then." Rachel yawned.

I groaned, everything ached. My head felt like it was on fire. Rolling over into an empty space, I frowned looking around the room. "Where's Blaine?"

"He left early. He said he needed to get home as soon as he could."

I sighed. "Oh, right..."

I caught Finn's eye, darting away quickly.

Kurt:

Hey dad, I'm ready for you to come get me.

Standing up was more of a struggle than I thought.

"Well I can add a hangover onto my list of things I've done." Rachel tried to lighten the mood.

I stared at her, as did the rest of them.

"Are you ever sad?" Santana rolled her eyes.

My phone buzzed in my hand.

Blaine:

I am so sorry. I'm not quite sure what happened last night. Please don't hate me.

"Is that lover boy?" Finn asked, looking over my shoulder.

I closed the message. "No."

He chuckled. "You can see the tension between the pair of you. It's funny. I should hand out bets to who will make the first move."

I frowned.

He laughed again, and walked beside me. "Just tell him how you feel."

"That's easier said than done. Besides...he doesn't remember anything from last night."

"He doesn't?"

I sighed, producing the text. He diverted his eyes up. "Are you really that dumb?" He poked me. "That's code for: I hope you're okay with what I did.. He's testing you."

I furrowed my brow. "What?"

"Say it's okay."

"Really?"

"Trust me,"

I was about to take relationship advice from Finn Hudson.
