Chapter 7.

"...And we are leaving." Kurt grumbled.

Blaine followed his gaze, at the back of the bowing alley stood Sebastian and some of his friends.

"I can't believe he actually has friends. Who in the right mind would be friends with him?" Kurt stared, confused.

"Doesn't he seem to be everywhere?"

"He just appears.. it's sort of creepy."

"Hm...Do you fancy a movie instead?" Blaine sighed, shrugging his shoulders.

Kurt looked back at Sebastian again, who has just scored a strike, grinning and fist pumping the air in a ridiculous fashion.

"No.. It's okay. We can just pretend he's invisible." Kurt smiled sweetly, leading the way down to the office.

"Can we have two adult bowls please?" Blaine asked, handing over the money.

"Shoe size?"

They told them their shoe size and took off their normal shoes, swapping them for the trainers. They searched for a nearby bench to sit on, and easily slip on their bowling shoes. By this point Sebastian had noticed them, but hadn't bothered coming over.

"See. Maybe he's learned his lesson." Kurt gestured to the actions of Sebastian and stood up. "How do I look?"

"Like a clown." He replied and pushed Kurt slightly with a humoured expression. "Come on, I'm going to teach you how to bowl."

Kurt followed him to the alley and keyed in their names.

"You've put me down as bowties," He laughed.

"Mhm." Kurt looked at the balls in the cage. "Which one shall I choose?"

"Try the sizes out." He pointed to the little numbers that were etched on the side of the balls.

"Oh, okay." He picked one up, his arm arguing at the heavy weight of it. "Maybe not that one." He smiled nervously and picked up the bright pink one. "There.. that feels better."

Blaine walked Kurt over to the runway and knelt down in the middle. "Copy me." He insisted. "Turn your body slightly.. No the other way." He gently positioned Kurt. "Now keep your eyes straight, and bend down on your knees when you throw."

Kurt nodded and imitated the actions he was shown. He concentrated on the centre pin and bought his hand up, letting go of the ball, a loud bang as it hit the floor. They both watched it heading down the centre, turning off course towards the end, "Gutter ball." Kurt complained as the ball dropped into the long, black and narrow pit running alongside the lane.

Laughter filled the room, Kurt turned his head only to see Sebastian grinning to himself at his lane, before taking another shot- getting yet another strike.

"Don't listen to him." Blaine muttered quietly, taking his own ball.

Kurt turned and took a seat on the sofa, watching Blaine score a spare.

"How're you two losers doing?" Sebastian leaned over the side. When they didn't answer he walked around and up towards Kurt. "Want some pointers on how to bowl?"

Kurt looked up at him.

"Don't aim for the gutter."

His friends laughed again. Kurt stood up quickly.

"Woah, we have a live one here." He smirked, "I didn't think women liked violence, Kurt."

Kurt rolled his eyes.

"Don't listen to him." Blaine repeated as he fetched the last ball and handed it to him.

Kurt raised an eyebrow. "Move." He directed towards Sebastian.

He moved slightly, Blaine took his hand and stood with Kurt at the lane again. "Aim.."

"Not at the gutter right?" Kurt finished sarcastically.

Blaine frowned slightly taken aback, Kurt ignored it and did the same position, he leaned back and swung the ball forward. The same thing happened again. He sighed and turned back for the sofa, putting the one leg over his other. He could see Sebastian looking at him in the corner of his eye, He looked towards Blaine as he took his shot, and hopped over the sofa, sitting down beside him.

"Try aiming a little to the left." He said.

Kurt furrowed his brow. "What?"

"When you throw the ball, aim towards the left. Only slightly though. Trust me." He half smiled.

Kurt stood up, Blaine passing him the ball, "You okay?" He asked, eyeing up Sebastian suspiciously.

Kurt nodded, as insane as Kurt thought Sebastian's theory was he didn't think it would hurt to try it. So he stood centre, bent his legs and tilted his body slightly to the left. He bought the ball back and watched it slide down the alley towards the pins. He watched them all fall over, his eyes widening.

"Nice one, Kurt." Blaine grinned, kissing Kurt's cheek and grabbing his own ball.

"Nice tactics, huh?" Sebastian said behind him.

Kurt turned his head. "Thanks." He muttered.

He smirked, and walked back on over to his own lane, his friends crowding him in seconds.

"Everything okay?" Blaine asked, his face showing concern.

"Not sure.."

"What did he say?"

"He just helped me."

He looked at Blaine.

"Helped you?"

"He taught me a bowling trick."

"But he doesn't.."

"I know." Kurt shrugged. "Weird, huh? Maybe he just can't stand to see how crap I am." Kurt winked, nudging his arm playfully.

"Maybe.." He agreed.

Kurt went to take his hand, only to be swept off his feet and dipped into a kiss. It didn't last long but it sure made Kurt breathless.

"What was that?"

"I love you."

"I love you too." Kurt replied, confused with his sudden outburst of affection.

He smiled and lifted the ball for him, "I guess now it's fair, I can try and beat you." Kurt winked. He wriggled his bum when he got to the top of the lane, and getting another strike again.

"Every time you do that, I want a kiss."

"Oh damn." Kurt sighed. "Maybe I should have ignored Sebastian."

"Shut up and kiss me." He mumbled, pressing his lips against Kurt's once more.
