Chapter 6.
"There you are!" Rachel sighed, jumping up from her seat.
"Sorry, we got held up." Kurt replied, while sneaking a look at Blaine.
The others were standing in parts of the room, in silence.
"What's happened?" Kurt frowned.
"Mr Schuester hasn't turned up, He's at home with the flu."
"What now then?" Blaine asked.
"We get to vote who's going to coach the class." Mercedes suggested with a shrug of her shoulders.
"We all have good views, the dance moves are pretty much sorted. We just need to get our vocals up to scratch." Kurt smiles lightly.
"I've got that sorted." Rachel grinned. "Did you hear back from the competition?" She added, looking at Kurt curiously.
"Not yet, but our mail is slow." Kurt bites his lip while taking a look at Blaine. "Unless it came this morning. I don't know."
"Where were you this morning?" Finn rose both of his eyebrows.
"I'm staying with Kurt since his dad is away. Keep him company."
"Oh. I bet you do." Puck winked, apparently listening to their conversation.
"That's not something I want to hear about." Santana squinted and put her fingers in her ears. "Let's not go into details."
"Nah. What happens between me and Kurt, stays between me and Kurt." Blaine smiles, putting a hand into his.
"Let's warm up our voices. Who wants to take the centre first?" Rachel challenged.
"Not me, I don't feel so good." Tina mumbled from the corner, she leaned her head tiredly against Mike's shoulder.
"I'll do it, but I'll need a partner.. or two." Artie rolled through with his wheel chair.
"I'll do it." Blaine agreed, "I'm sure Finn will join us." He winked towards the brunette who'd just about sat down.
Kurt took a seat next to Quinn and excitedly raised both thumbs to Blaine who smirked in reply.
"Just shoot for the stairs. If it feels right," Artie started singing, putting a right arm in the air.
Blaine and Finn followed his actions, while standing behind him.
"Then aim for your heart, if you feel like. And take me away, and make it okay. I swear I'll behave." flashing a wink towards the seats.
Finn walked up behind the him and wheeled him around in a circle.
"You wanted control, so we waited."
Finn put his finger to his mouth, continuing to push him around, "Now you make it, You say I'm a kid, that my ego is big. Well I don't give a shit." He wagged his fingers in front of his face, "And it goes like this."
Blaine jumped through. "Take me by the tongue and I'll know you," He moved his body, gripping with emotions with tight fists. "Kiss me till you're drunk and I'll show you."
"All the moves like Jagger.." Artie came back into it. "I've got the moves like Jagger."
--
"That was brilliant." Rachel grinned, followed by the rest of the group clapping.
Blaine walked over and took the seat that was next to Kurt, who practically bounced in it. "Did I do good?"
"Do you really need me to answer that question?" Kurt squeezed his knee. "You always do so perfect."
"You should do one."
"Nope, I'm saving my voice." Leaning in for a kiss, pecking lightly.
Rachel was up next to sing, she had prepared her own lyrics for the song and was directing the song towards Finn. They leaned back in their chairs. Blaine exchanged a glance with Kurt, Kurt bopping on his seat with happy feelings running through his mind, he'd imagined a perfect year to be exactly like this.
The bell rang as they exited the room. "You fancy going out tonight?" Blaine asked to his side.
"As in.. out or?"
"Few drinks. Coffee, I mean."
Kurt smiles, taking his hand. "I drink on weekends just not so much on weekdays." Chuckling like he'd said a joke to himself.
"So sensible Kurt."
Kurt turned round and Blaine grabbed his hands, forcing him to walk backwards. "Is that a bad thing?"
"No not at all, it's alluring actually."
Kurt smiled. "Maybe we could go to bread sticks. Or bowling." Suggesting with a shrug.
"I'm good at bowling." Blaine grinned.
"Best not then, I can't."
He laughed. "Nope. We're going bowling."
Kurt could have slapped himself.
