"I wrote you a letter everyday of the year."

Blaine Anderson scrunched his face up in disdain as his best friend, Kurt, repeated the line over dramatically.

"You know, I came here to watch The Notebook, not you badly reenacting The Notebook," he said with a playful smirk.

"Shut up and watch the movie, loser," Kurt said, giving Blaine a playful shoulder punch.

Blaine shoved a handful of popcorn into his mouth before settling down into his usual position on Kurt's couch. About twenty minutes of silent movie watching later Kurt's shrill cell phone ringtone broke the silence. Kurt's tiny body leaped off the couch as he ran to retrieve his phone from his room. Blaine rolled his eyes. God forbid Kurt missed one phone call; now that would be a travesty. A loud scream from Kurt's room several minutes later sent Blaine flying off the couch in surprise.

Kurt stomped back into the living room to find Blaine in a tangle of limbs on the floor. He disregarded his best friend's distressed state and sat down on the couch, crossing his arms and contorting his face into his all too famous pout. Blaine managed to pull himself into a sitting position across from Kurt and propped his head on top of his kneecap.

"What's the matter? Is Lady Gaga's new album only being released in Japan?" he said with a wink.

Kurt rolled his eyes, clearly not in the mood to be made fun of.

"Jonah just canceled on going to junior prom with me," he said in reference to his on-again off-again boyfriend, Jonah.

"Again? He's already canceled on you twice before though."

"I know! I'm serious, the next time he tries to pull this whole 'I can't go because my family doesn't approve of our relationship' bull crap, I'm breaking up with him." Kurt scowled and tossed his poor, abused iPhone across the room.

"Well, do you want me to go with you to junior prom?" Blaine asked nonchalantly.

"W-well, if you don't mind. I mean, we've been to pretty much every dance together...a-as friends I mean, don't you want to actually bring a girl for once?" Kurtl asked, struggling to hide his light blush.

"Nah, its fine. Besides, you're my best friend, I'll probably have more fun with you then I would with some stupid date anyway. Who needs a night of hearing some girl complain, when it can just be two guys having fun at some lame high school dance?" Blaine shrugged; it was true, he did want to actually bring his own date to a dance for once, but as his mother always told him, friends came before girls.

Kurt smiled and took Blaine's hand in his.

"Why can't there be other guys like you in the world? Like, if a girl...or a guy... ever needs a date to something, or just someone to hang out with, they could call him up and he'd come over, no questions asked."

"I'm pretty sure that's what a booty call is for," Blaine said with a laugh.

Kurt whacked Blaine over the head, shouting, "You know that's not what I meant!"

"I mean like…something like what Emma Stone did in Easy A, except it would be a guy…and girls...or guys... would be paying him to go out with them," Kurt said dreamily.

"But in the movie she didn't actually do anything with those guys, she just said she did," he replied matter-of-factly.

"Yes, yes, I know that! But, this guy would be different, he'd be a…a professional boyfriend!"

"That's ridicu-…." Blaine trailed off.

"Uh, hello, Earth to Blaine!" Kurtl waved his hand in front of Blaine's face, but was met without a reaction.

Suddenly, Blaine's almond eyes lit up, sparkling with the hot fire that Kurt knew all too well.

"Oh God, Blaine, no. No, you are not actually taking this seriously are you?"

But it was too late, the idea was already in Blaine's mind, and when Blaine Anderson has an idea, he will make it happen, no matter what. Kurt rolled his eyes. Sometimes he wondered why he was still friends with Blaine.

End Notes: Hope you guys enjoyed it (:

Oh my! I'm guessing Blaine isn't sure of his sexuality yet? Or doesn't care? I look forward to seeing how this goes.

Hahahaha, I get that question a lot! Well, the whole background of Blaine's sexuality and whatnot begins to unravel later on in the story, but not-so-spoiler alert, this is a Klaine story...so...*hint**hint* hahaha (:

Wow! This is such a cool idea! I'm interested to see how this plays out between the two of them... Hope you update soon!!

Hahaha, well, most of the workings of the professional boyfriend business will be explained throughout the story, but in a way, he is like a prostitute, but instead of sex, he just goes out and goes on dates or hangs out with the people that are willing to pay him (:

this is sincerely asked: how does being a professional boyfriend differ from being a prostitute? or an escort? there's no sex involved? that being said, i'm curious to see where you take this idea. so i'm on board with this story.
