The actor shook his head, lightly biting his lip to stop from saying something or crying or just really doing anything. It wasn’t that he disliked talking about it, it was reliving it all. He was someone who couldn’t dispel his own emotions from anything, as much as he wanted to and was necessary for his line of works - if he was upset his performance would have that underlying upset tone. That’s just how he worked. “It wasn’t being courageous, it was stupidity.” He muttered lightly into the air turning with Blaine and giving a slight shrug and the nod of his head, keeping his eyes trained on the verge or on the other path or just anything to stop his mind from whizzing through everything. He tried not to seem bothered by the loss of contact, keeping his hand curled lightly and hanging by his side as to not seem keen to remove it back to warmth or like he was clingy; but in all truth he liked that contact. It made everything seem more real when he was still having a hard time actually believing half the things which had happened. That was why he couldn’t hide the change to his smile as their hands slid back together, causing him to exhale contently. Honestly walking back to the dorms felt like a complete blur of everything put together and before he knew it he was stood outside, fingers poised on the handle and biting his lip again gently in the smile, eyes locked onto Blaine’s. “Yeah… soon.” Kurt cleared his throat awkwardly, glancing away at the compliment and feeling his cheeks heat up again before chuckling a little to himself. “Hey, everyone could use a boost every now and then….” The brunet practically sang playfully before opening the door slowly. “Thank you, though. You’re the first person to say that.”
Blaine wanted to share his disagreement, tell Kurt that there was nothing stupid about confusing your feelings for someone, no matter how it turns out…but he knew it wouldn’t have helped the situation at all really, so he just kept it to himself as they turned around and headed back for the dorms. The walk back was pretty silent for the most part, he could barely hear his own breathing the slight exhale of air escape his lips from the bitter cold in a puff of white. It was strange how fast things could change, and yet stay the same…though he knew that it probably wouldn’t make much sense to anybody else he just had this feeling as though the two of them had sort of opened up enough to let the other in a little at a time. They were both most certainly themselves though as well, and Blaine couldn’t help but be thankful for knowing someone like Kurt, because he knew for a fact that the other man would - and to some degree already had - have an extremely positive influence on him, and he hoped he’d do the same in return. When they reached the familiar room he tried to keep to himself, eventually forcing his hands into his pockets and leaving a fair amount of space between the two of them. Blaine smiled that fairly rare smile of his, not really being able to help himself as he leaned away from the wall, “You’re welcome…and you really do, just so you know. Anyways…” he glanced down for a moment, collecting his thoughts before meeting his gaze one last time, “I will see you soon. Have a nice night”. Blaine held the smile and nodded to himself before turning and heading back down the hallway…knowing that he had his fair share of pushing boundaries for one night. But as the musician glanced over his shoulder at the actor he had a feeling that what had started as a mere friendship and quite difficultly progressed into something that even he himself had been skeptical of at first, would ultimately make a very powerful impact on him, no matter how things turned out…even if he hoped for the best.
