Blaine needed to move, to sleep it off, to drink it away…something, he needed to something to make it go away, the pain and everything. He’d rather be hit a dozen times over by his father or pushed around and fought with a group of overly testosteroned boys then have to deal with this kind of hurt. It was overwhelming, it was frustrating, and it was just plain too much for him to handle at all, let alone by himself with not a single person understanding what he was going through. He knew one day it would finally all catch up to him…but had he known it would be this painful…what am I doing here? The musician wanted to get up, walk away and give himself enough space and time to breathe and gain some sort of composure. But it was all out now, there wasn’t any way he’d be able to reign in on all the emotions and push them back below the surface…not after having this severe of a breakdown, and in front of Kurt of all people. He respected the man, felt close to him, felt comfortable with him…but he didn’t know if he could let him in when he was in this sort of state. Blaine had no idea what to do, he was just so unbelievably confused and could barely breathe or focus on one memory at a time while they continued to whizz through his brain and give him a massive migraine.

Blaine drew a deep breath, trying to relax even as the tears continued to fall from his eyes while he felt Kurt move from beside him to kneel right in front of him. The musician finally glanced up, his eyes settling on the actor as his hands wrapped around his suit pants and he breathed evenly. The music major opened his mouth hesitantly, but closed it a short second later and lowered his eyes, closing them for a long moment while resting his face in his hands. Blaine just sat there for awhile in pure silence, reminding himself that this wasn’t exactly fair to Kurt…he probably had no idea what was going on and Blaine had been the one who was rude in the first place by using that tone of his. He finally pried his hands from his face, resting them against his knees as he kept his eyes trained off to the side. “I want to tell you things Kurt, I do…but you barely say anything. I don’t know you, and I really want to Kurt…” the music major finally settled his gaze on the other man, “but you close me off just as much as the other way around, probably more. I don’t know what to think. The whole thing at the bar really confused me…and half the stuff you say nowadays just further makes it more difficult. I really like…probably more then that but I feel like I’m trying really hard for something that’s just not going to happen.” He let out a shaky breath, his hands and face starting to feel cold all of a sudden. “I don’t want you to go. I’m just…” Blaine held a fairly frustrated expression as he tried to find the right words, “…I don’t know, okay? I’m having all of these memories come back to me…I thought they wouldn’t get to me after all these years but now they have…and it just…it hurts.”

Seeing all of the emotions across Blaine’s face, the angry tears, the pain, the hurt, everything, made Kurt wonder just how long he’d been holding on to this. There was no way that this was just something caused from this night alone - even if the night was some sort of trigger there were so many emotions Kurt could just feel coming from the musician. He’d never in his twenty years of life ever seen someone break down like this. Sure he’d seen his father break down over his mother’s death, but that was complete mourning, not some emotional overload from bottling everything up and pretending to be fine until something just knocked everything upside down and it couldn’t be held back anymore. Kurt was at a loss of what to do. With his dad, it was simple. He hugged him and cried with him until they both fell asleep on the couch and deal with the reality of the situation when it came time for the funeral and eventually over time, they just managed to deal with it. Of course Kurt refused to talk about her even to his dad and Burt never wanted to stop, but they were both dealing with it. With Blaine, however, Kurt was completely unsure of how to react. It wasn’t like he could just pull him into a hug and tell him everything would be okay, because for starters he wasn’t sure if that sort of gesture was applicable in this situation or between them at all, they had never really hugged or just held eachother, secondly, Kurt had no idea what this was about, so sympathizing was limited greatly.

Kurt very gently reached out, brushing his fingers along Blaine’s hand and offering his own to hold. If Blaine wanted that anchor, that support, then Kurt would try his damn well hardest to be there, if he didn’t then that was that. He wanted to brush away Blaine’s tears, but settled for pulling out a packet of tissues and offering them with a soft, yet still entirely concerned smile. Sure, Kurt was fairly secretive when it came to revealing things about himself, but Blaine knew more than most already so maybe he’d forgotten that the musician didn’t know every single detail of his life, why he was so hesitant about things. He nodded gently before standing and brushing down his trousers before pulling the back door of the car open and extending out his hand again to help Blaine up. “Come on, it’s cold out here and I think we need to talk somewhere a little less… outside.” He took a deep breath, sliding in and over to the other side, waiting patiently. “You know, from now on I’m just going to be completely honest with you. If you want to know something, then all you have to do is ask and I’ll tell you.” Kurt pursed his lips together nervously, somewhat disliking his own idea but knowing fine well it was entirely necessary if they were going to save whatever they were. “Do you want to talk about these memories?” Kurt glanced over at Blaine, his voice soft and calm despite the still internal freak out he was experiencing over how on Earth he was going to deal with this, how he would answer any questions and still over what had happened moments previously to land them in this situation.
