“Well congratulations on your French exam, and I’m sure you’ll be hearing from one sooner then later,” he smiled kindly, glancing at him for a short moment as he stepped out of the building before returning his gaze to the pavement in front of them. “Nothing too interesting in all honestly, and you didn’t miss an Anderson Thursday, I cancelled it,” he shrugged his shoulders lightly, perhaps - if he was lucky - Kurt wouldn’t ask about it. Once they were both in the car and had managed to settle themselves comfortably in their seats he reached a hand out to turn the heater on low, just so they wouldn’t freeze while waiting for the car to warm-up. Blaine chuckled, “It’s funny you mention that actually, I was going to ask if you knew how to install one. And then when you said yes, because I just assume you are a magician with automobiles, I was going to ask if you could possibly do it for me? I have a hard time trusting car mechanics, and I just have a feeling you’d be able to do it more efficiently. I can even give you a hand, I have a bit of knowledge with the engine side of mechanics.” He settled back in his seat for a moment, a small smile appearing across his features as he looked over at Kurt, those three words slipping so easily from his lips without any hesitation. His reply only made him smile more brightly, his eyes wandering to the fingers that were tracing his own before he trailed his gaze back to Kurt’s. Blaine turned his body somewhat in his seat, leaning forward just a little as his shoulder pressed against the leather, “So have I…and I know I already said that I missed you but I really, truly do mean it. You know, it’s hard to comprehend sometimes how much you appreciate someone…” he murmured, trailing off as his lips pulled into a barely noticeable smile, his gaze lowering to their hands, “…until you have a moment when you realize just how much you need them in you’re day-to-day life. Kurt…” he stated, his chin lifting so his eyes would settle easily on the actor’s, “…this week, after we had that admittedly ludicrous argument, I came to realize that youare that person to me.”
Kurt nodded graciously, mouthing a thank you in Blaine’s direction with a soft laugh. “I’m not too sure, I seem to be having a bad spell when it comes to productions.” He gave a slight shrug of his shoulders, not pressing the issue any further. There were just times when his acting style was needed and clearly right now just wasn’t that time; at least it minimised his stress levels and allowed him to work more shifts at the coffee shop and put away more money for another day. “Oh, well, I’ll be there next time?” Kurt offered gently with a careful smile, sensing Blaine’s reluctance to talk about it. He knew Blaine well enough now to know exactly when he wanted to talk about anything and when he didn’t or when he needed to regardless of if he wanted to or not. “Of course I know how, if I didn’t there would have been no way my dad would have let me work in his garage,” Kurt chuckled softly with a slight pride to his car knowledge. “I tell you what, how about I teach you how to install it so you’ll know how for next winter? Sound like a good idea?” Kurt raised an eyebrow questioningly with a fond smil. It would be lovely to share his knowledge, especially if it meant bing able to save Blaine the problem of having to wait for his car to heat up. “We’ll be able to save Katy.” He chuckled, patting the dashboard softly with some fondness to the action. It seemed strange for the car to hold memories, but truthfully it did - especially their first, admittedly failed first date. As Blaine shifted in his seat, Kurt mimicked his position, maintaining their eyecontact with a smitten smile on his features and an ever growing blush until he just couldn’t maintain it any longer. “You’re… I…” Kurt huffed in frustration at his own lack of elloquence before squeezing his hand gently and leaning forward to kiss Blaine’s cheek gently. Actions always did speak louder than words.
