Six o’clock…it’s almost six ’clock…I’m supposed to meet him at seven thirty and it’s already nearing six o’clock.Blaine had intended, initially at first, to return from his tutoring of music students within the department and hopefully catch a decently long nap before meeting up with Kurt, as he wassupposed to be finished with his lessons nearly two hours ago. But now he knew he didn’t have nearly enough time to take a nap, and he had far too much time to simply just start getting ready for his date. So Blaine pulled on his coat, placed his messenger bag over his shoulder, and left the Music Department building only moments after he had finished his last tutoring session. The person in question who he had been ‘tutoring’ managed to keep him around almost two hours past herallottedone hour time-slot for her piano lesson. At first he was more then kind and patient enough to stay around for a couple minutes after the woman’s lesson was scheduled to be over, but as weeks went by he started to notice small repetitive things…such as how she managed to inch closer to him along the piano cushion as the time drew closer to the hour, how her fingers always seemed to ‘accidentally’ brush against his when he tried to show her the chords by demonstrating them himself, and how whenever she grew excited - which was an unusually high amount of times - she’d turn in her seat with an enthused grin and wrap her arms around his neck in an embrace, thanking him over and over again. Blaine was a polite enough individual, and he knew how physically comfortable he was with those around him, whether strangers or not…but there was somethingsuspiciouslydifferent about this individual, this Senior who seemed to pick up on everything he taught her with lightning speed.I wonder if Kurt was right about her having a crush on me…no, can’t be.Blaine was interested in someone else.

The musician made his way onto the sidewalk as he headed for probably his second most visited place outside of campus buildings after the coffee shop, but it was more recently that he found himself standing in front of this familiar counter, the fragrance within the small shop floral and fresh as the elderly lady would give him his usual order…one purple orchid, that’s all he ever bought. He smiled softly, bringing the fragile living object to his nose as he exited the shop and headed back towards campus, meandering along the hallways of the dorm spaces until he came across his own room a mere twenty minutes later. Blaine dropped his bag onto his bed and stripped off his jacket as he made his way over to his closet, pulling out exactly what he had been planning to wear for this little dinner date of theirs that he had proposed only a few days prior. Heading for the bathroom he closed the door behind him and took a prolonged shower simply to pass the time so he wouldn’t have to be standing around, waiting for seven thirty to approach more quickly. When he was done he pulled on an undershirt and the usual boxer briefs as he slipped a small amount of gel into his hair and run a comb through it so it would look a little more orderly and put together than usual. He got dressed in a light pink long-sleeved button down, a pair of nicer black slacks, and his black Ralph Lauren flats before tying a matching plain black tie around his neck, flipping the collar down over it a moment later. Blaine checked himself over in the mirror, running his fingers quickly through the strands before grabbing the orchid and placing his wallet and cell phone in his pockets as he made his way out of his room and down the hall. The dorm wasn’t too far away, and as soon as he approached it, knocking twice on the wooden surface with a soft smile on his lips he knew that this deep and strong feeling that he only seemed to undergo when he saw or even thought of the actor was something worth acknowledging and protecting, because he couldn’t even begin to describe his feelings for this man. Blaine turned the door knob and slowly pushed it open, sticking his head inside before edging his way in and almost immediately lost his train of thought when he caught sight of him, his lips twitching into a small smile as his eyes met a brilliant pair of blue-green eyes…he could never get over just how beautiful this man really was… “Good evening Kurt”.

Truthfully, this week had been completely hectic. After realising that maybe Kurt did miss Blaine an awful lot when he was in a somewhat, self admittedly, being immature enough to give him the silent treatment. Sure he knew that maybe he did overreact just a little, but it had just made the fact that Blainewantedto make it up to him. No one had fought to win him back. Absolutely no one hadcaredenough to want to fight for him, to win him over again and remove his hideous mood. Usually Kurt just ended up getting so lonely he turned up at their door like a dog with its tail between his legs, apologising for getting madfor no reason - even if there was a very definite reason all the time for his moods - just so he wasn’t alone anymore. It wasn’t that he wasn’t a sociable person or that he didn’t get to know people easilybecause he could just sit and talk; maintaining those relationships was where he failed. Kurt was easily frightened by people getting too close, finding out too much about him. But then Blaine actually made the effort. Having been swamped with so many French essays and script preparations over the course of the week whilst also working extra shifts to gain more tips towards his fuel expenses driving back to Lima over the weekend. Tonight was just an excuse to relax, to be comfortable and feel like he could just be himself afround someone who he classed as such a close friend. It felt insane that he didn’t know Blaine his entire life.

Stretching out his legs on his bed as he removed the headphones from his laptop, playing the French passage out loud, repeating it perfectly back. Pulling his outfit of choice from his wardrobe, Kurt ceremoniously changed into it, making sure everything was so meticulate and perfectly placed. If there was one thing Kurt liked to be in control of, it was his appearance. It always made him feel better; some people liked to feel in control by controlling what they ate, Kurt liked to control how he appeared to everyone. The dark olive green skinny jeans, the burberry shirt, perfectly toned cardigan and his favourite Doc Marten boots was an outfit he’d been planning for a while. Sure, he’d gone over and over if it was too casual for this date, but he didn’t want to over do it. As he heard the knock at the door, Kurt smiled softly, taking one last look in the mirror before calling out that it was okay to come in. He turned to look at Blaine as he came through the door, the smile fixed on his face as he nervously bit at his lip. Blaine looked amazing, but there was never quite a moment when hedidn’tlook great. He had this breathtakingly handsome look about him which was so effortless and classic that it captured Kurt’s full attention enough to cause a soft blush to fall across his cheeks. Kurt quickly leant across his bed, pausing the French passage before straightening out his shirt again. “Good evening, Blaine.”
