Blaine figured he might have overstepped his boundary moving so close to Kurt and touching his chin, but he couldn’t really help it, he felt like he needed to attract the man’s attention somehow. And yet, for some reason, he still felt a little but of a pull inside his chest as Kurt moved away from him. Blaine lowered his head somewhat kind of understanding where he was coming from. But he had an internal battle ensuing through him, because part of him didn’t want to push him away by asking what it was that would threaten their friendship…but - and this part was what confused him - he felt like it was somewhat important, especially to put his friend in such a seemingly vulnerable way. He just didn’t know what to say or do as he continued to lower his eyes to the pavement beneath their feet, nodding his head a little as he mentally decided it was probably best to just give it up. Eventually he looked up at Kurt, though it wasn’t with the same tone as usual, “I value our friendship, too. And it doesn’t sound cheesy so don’t worry about it.” Blaine slipped his hands back into his pockets, shrugging his shoulders a little as he glanced around the street, realizing how late and dark it was. “You should probably head back,” he said, his gaze resting on the actor once more. And before Kurt could protest or anything he added, “I’ll make it to the dorms safely, I promise. No need to walk me back. Plus, I still have to finish The Rocky Horror Show in order to be considered your friend,” he managed a small smile, as fake as it felt, “So…I’ll see you around?”
