Blaine hummed softly, his lips pulled together in a loose line as he couldn’t - for the life of him - remember the lyrics that followed, though he could blame his forgetfulness on the sleep deprivation and alcohol induced migraine. Eventually he stopped humming, his breathing quiet and easy as he noticed that Kurt seemed to have relaxed a considerable amount for he had ceased the crying and shaking, as well as the tight grip on his shirt. “Mhmm, any time,” he murmured in a quiet voice, not wanting to ruin the peaceful and hushed tone between the two of them. The musician felt so warm and comfortable, it was hard to imagine how he’d be able to ever feel so needed by someone else, or protective of anyone other then how guarded he felt of the actor in that moment. He let out a prolonged breath through barely parted lips, the man’s hairs still tickling at his nose until he slowly pulled back, his own grasp around him loosening until he could partially see his face, “Are you okay?” Blaine retracted a hand from Kurt’s back, sweeping his thumb across the man’s cheek and under both of his eyes, brushing away the tears gently. But once they were all gone he continued to run his thumb affectionately against his soft skin, until eventually he let his fingers rest delicately on his cheek and simply looked back at him. Blaine let out another slow breath, his gaze lingering over Kurt’s facial features for a long moment until they wandered back to the familiar set of blue-green eyes, “Have I ever told you how beautiful you are?” he asked, not expecting an answer or even a response. In fact, he wasn’t sure if it was him speaking or the number of drinks he had…but something inside him just felt so strongly about what he said, knowing that somewhere - past all the alcohol and sleep deprivation - that he had truly, undeniably meant it. The musician smiled softly as his eyes finally closed, his cheek pressing into the pillow beneath his head while his breathing slowed, “It’s true,” he whispered breathily, gradually slipping back into a comfortable heavy sleep with the actor still being held close.
