After 10 minutes, none of the cars on the highway were moving at all, the radio told him that there had been an accident near the Dublin exit that was blocking the road. Kurt groaned and grabbed the Bluetooth his father had bought him for Christmas, putting it into his ear. He turned on his phone and dialed Blaine's number.
"M'hello?" Blaine answered, sounding as if he had just woken up, several rings later. Kurt winced.
"Hi B, did I wake you?" He asked. He heard the other boy stretching before he answered.
"Not really, a nurse woke me up like an hour ago. I was supposed to be awake but I fell asleep again." He mumbled. "Why are you calling? Aren't you supposed to be on your way here? Are you calling me while driving?" Blaine asked. Kurt chuckled.
"Calm down, Blaine. My dad gave me a Bluetooth for Christmas, remember?" Kurt sighed happily as he inched his car forward a bit more. "I've run into a bit of traffic." He informed Blaine. "I'm about 2 minutes from Dublin, but there's been an accident on 33. It might be another 40 minutes until I get to Columbus."
"Alright," Blaine sighed, "Well, since I'm already up and talking to you, maybe we can stay on the phone until you get here?" Blaine asked, his voice full of hope. Kurt smiled, he would never deny his boyfriend something that would make him happy.
"That sounds like a great idea, Blaine." He told him. "What did you want to talk about?" He asked, the car moving forward slightly.
"Anything," Blaine sighed again, "Tell me about your plans for the weekend." Kurt bit his lip as he thought about what was going on this weekend, it was something he had wanted to do with Blaine.
"Well, I was going to go to the Dalton/Crawford Winter Ball, but since my boyfriend will be unable to attend, I think I'll just stay at home and do something with Finn." Blaine made a noise in protest.
"Kurt, if you want to go to the ball, just go. I don't want to stop you from having a good night. Plus, all the Warblers are going, I bet you'd have fun with them! Remember the Warbler Christmas party?" Kurt groaned, hitting his head against the steering wheel.
"How could I forget?! Everyone got so wasted and we were all way too hungover for school the next day." Kurt groaned. Blaine laughed.
"Oh, how about Daniel and Jamie grinding on the dance floor? Oh my God, do you remember the striptease Jeff did?" Blaine told him, laughing harder than before as he recalled the evening's events. Kurt rolled his eyes.
"No, but I do remember a lap dance that a certain Warbler whose initials are B.A. gave me that night." Kurt told him with a smirk on his face. Blaine instantly stopped laughing.
"I did that?" He asked in a monotone voice, sounding mortified. Kurt chuckled, nodding though Blaine wouldn't be able to see the movement.
"Oh, yes, you did that. Let me just say, you are quite the dancer, Blaine Warbler." Kurt teased. He laughed when he heard Blaine groan on the other line, imagining that he had his hands covering his now-red face in embarrassment.
"I asked Wes and David if I did anything stupid that night when I woke up with you in my bed the next morning, but they told me that I hadn't." Blaine groaned. Kurt sighed as he finally passed the accident that was blocking the highway and the traffic became lighter.
"Blaine, calm down. I was heavily drunk when it happened too, remember? So was everyone in that room. You weren't the only one who did something stupid. I mean, I'm pretty sure I did body shots off of Tommy." Kurt shuddered; he knew he did body shots off of Tommy, the disgusting sophomore who never took a bath and was always greasy. It was worth reliving the awful memory to here Blaine giggle.
"Aw, Kurt! It's alright! At the next Warbler party, I'll protect you and the only person you'll be doing body shots off of will be me." Blaine assured him. Kurt stopped breathing for a second. He was not used to Blaine being so forward about things like that. He wasn't used to having someone who he could things with.
"Don't say that unless you mean it Anderson." Kurt warned in a low voice, "I will be taking you up on that." They sat in silence for several minutes, just enjoying the company.
"Hey, I gotta go alright? A nurse just brought in some breakfast for me. But I'll see you soon, right?" Blaine finally spoke a few minutes later, just as Kurt drove past the city lines into Columbus.
"Yeah, I'm almost there. I'll see you soon, B."
------------------------------------------------------------
The nurse had brought Blaine a tray of breakfast foods; applesauce, eggs, bacon, toast and a glass of water and orange juice. Blaine had already finished the applesauce and bacon and had started buttering the toast when Kurt entered the room.
"Morning!" Kurt called, jogging into the room. He went up and kissed his boyfriend's cheek in greeting before placing his gym bag on the foot of the bed. "How are you feeling today? Any better than yesterday?" He asked, taking Blaine's untouched orange juice and drinking from it. Blaine chuckled.
"A bit." Blaine admitted. "I know it won't get any better than this while I'm doing chemo. It's like this constant sickness. You might feel okay, but it's still there, like an ever present cold." Blaine told him. Kurt nodded, leaning over and giving Blaine a chaste peck on the lips.
"I promise to make you feel better, no matter what it takes." Kurt mumbled. Blaine smiled softly, lifting a hand to run his fingers along Kurt's cheek.
"You're amazing, Kurt." Blaine told him in a soft voice. "I can't believe you're mine." Kurt giggled, hiding his face in Blaine's shoulder.
"Finish eating so that we can leave." Kurt muttered before pushing himself off of his boyfriend. Blaine chuckled, doing as he was told.
Once Blaine was finished eating, Kurt helped him out of the bed and threw the bag at him as he entered the adjoining bathroom to change. Kurt had brought him a pair of loose jeans and a long sleeved, dark grey Henley sweater. Once Blaine had changed, the couple walked out of the room and signed the needed papers before leaving the hospital. Kurt led Blaine to his car and opened the door for him, to which Blaine blushed and mumbled a thank you.
"So, anywhere you want to go?" Kurt asked once they were out of the parking lot. Blaine shrugged.
"Doesn't matter to me, you pick." Blaine mumbled. Kurt sighed, reaching over blindly to grab Blaine's hand in his.
"Why are you so down?" Kurt asked, intertwining their fingers together. Blaine sighed, wiping his free hand over his face.
"I have no clue." Blaine admitted, "Sometimes after chemo I get like this." He told him, "I'm surprised it's happening this soon." He mumbled.
"Get like what, Blaine?" Kurt asked, eyes trained on the road.
"A couple months into my treatment the last time, I got really depressed. I went to a shrink and I was on anti-depressants." Blaine told him. He shrugged, leaning against the car door. Kurt squeezed his hand in comfort.
"Thank you for telling me, Blaine." Kurt mumbled. "I know that must've been hard for you to go through."
"Yeah, it was. And I don't wanna go through it again." Blaine's voice cracked and when Kurt glanced over at his boyfriend, he saw tears running down his face and rushed to pullover. Once the car was stopped, he undid both of their seat belts and pulled Blaine into the backseat of his car.
"C'mere." Kurt mumbled, pulling Blaine into his arms. Blaine sniffled, cuddling his face into Kurt's neck, inhaling his scent. Kurt sighed, tightening his grip around Blaine's waist.
"Thank you for being here." Blaine mumbled, relaxing in Kurt's arms. "It means a lot to me." Kurt smiled kissing Blaine's soft curls before leaning his cheek against the loose curls.
"There's no where else I'd rather be than right here, Blaine." He told him. Kurt felt Blaine smile against his neck before his lips pressed a soft kiss there. Kurt hummed happily, running his hands up and down Blaine's back. "You're the best boyfriend ever." Kurt mumbled. Blaine sighed happily in his arms before leaning up and kissing Kurt on the mouth. Kurt smiled into the kiss before lifting his hands to secure them in Blaine's hair.
"Mmm, Kurt." Blaine moaned as Kurt detached their mouths and began kissing down the column of Blaine's neck. He practically keened when Kurt began nipping at his pulse spot. "Oh my God, don't stop doing that." Blaine groaned. Kurt smirked against his neck before taking his mouth off of Blaine and inspected the spot that was beginning to bruise nicely. He smiled before flipping them over.
"You're so hot like this." Kurt breathed before reattaching his mouth to Blaine's neck. Blaine moaned under him as he moved down his neck. Kurt thanked whatever higher power was watching over him that had inspired him to give Blaine this sweater to wear. This sweater that had buttons at the top that Blaine had left unbuttoned. He moved the flaps of the sweater out of the way to mouth at Blaine's collarbone.
"Kurt, Kurt we need to stop before I can't anymore." Blaine said breathlessly, squirming on the seat. Kurt sighed before moving back up Blaine's body and pressing a soft kiss to Blaine's mouth. Once he pulled away he leaned down to lay against Blaine's chest; shifting his leg a bit when it pressed into Blaine's erection, eliciting a whimper from the boy.
"Sorry," Kurt mumbled, pressing a chaste kiss to Blaine's neck. "You're just so kissable." Kurt smiled when he felt Blaine chuckled underneath him.
"Why thank you, so are you." Blaine teased before dropping a kiss to Kurt's hair. "Are we just gonna lay here until we have to go back?" Blaine asked in a mumble. Kurt shrugged, looking up, resting his chin on Blaine's chest.
"Whatever you want, B. I don't care what we do, so long as I'm with you." Kurt told him earnestly. When Blaine started giggling uncontrollably he raised an eyebrow at him. "What's up mister giggles?" He asked.
"You just rhymed." Blaine told him, still giggling softly. Kurt rolled his eyes at Blaine's antics before kissing him softly.
"You're such a dork." He mumbled, "You're lucky you're cute." Blaine grinned widely at him.
"Thanks, but you need to look in the mirror once in a while if you are convinced that I'm cute." Blaine told him. Kurt rolled his eyes once again before sitting up and pulling Blaine's hands for his to sit up as well. Blaine gave him a look of confusion before Kurt stepped back into the front of his car and motioned for Blaine to follow.
"Is David's house empty?" Kurt asked as he began driving, eyes trained on the road in front of him. Blaine shifting in his seat slightly at the suggestive tone in his boyfriend's voice before nodding.
"Y-Yeah, it is."
------------------------------------------------
"Oh my God, Kurt! You're gonna miss the best part! Stop!" Blaine giggled. Kurt pouted at him from where he was kissing Blaine's neck.
"Boo, you're no fun, Blaine Anderson." Kurt protested, resting his head against his chest as he turned his attention to the movie playing on the television. Blaine sighed, wrapping his arms tightly around Kurt.
"I am plenty fun, Kurt Hummel." Blaine mumbled into his hair. "I just didn't want you to miss this part of the movie. Plus, you were tickling me." Kurt lifted his head to give Blaine a look of judgement.
"Blaine," He said slowly, "I was kissing your neck. How does that qualify as tickling you?" Kurt asked. Blaine blushed, dropping his face to Kurt's shoulder to hide it.
"My neck's just really sensitive, okay?" He muttered, embarrassed that he had to say it. Kurt awed, lifting Blaine's chin up with his index finger to face him.
"You don't have to be embarrassed around me, alright?" Kurt told him. "I don't care if we've been dating a day, or a month or all of our lives, you don't need to be scared to tell me anything. I'm never going to judge you." Blaine smiled, leaning up to kiss Kurt softly.
"You're the best boyfriend ever." He mumbled before snuggling Kurt into him. "Now kiss me again." Kurt chuckled and resumed his ministrations on Blaine's neck. Blaine soon became a whimpering mess under him.
"Can I take off your shirt?" Kurt asked him, breathing heavily against his neck as his hands toyed with the bottom of the sweater Blaine wore. Blaine nodded quickly.
"Yes, please," He begged, "But only if you do too." Kurt nodded in response before pulling Blaine's shirts off and then his. They just sat there, taking in each other for a few minutes. Kurt took in the way Blaine's tan skin stretched across the muscles of his stomach and chest, took in the pale scar that started at Blaine's belly button and spread to the right side of his stomach from when he got his appendix taken out that past October. He let his eyes linger on the hair the gradually became more before disappearing into Blaine's pants to meet that part of him.
Blaine let his eyes rake over the pale skin that covered Kurt's body. He wasn't as defined as Blaine was, but that was to be expected since Blaine was involved in a lot more physical activity than Kurt. But Kurt's abs were definitely visible, and Blaine had Kurt's experience on the Cheerios to thank for that. He gasped as he reached out a hesitant hand to touch a scar Kurt had just over his heart. He traced it lightly, not taking his eyes off it as he spoke. "What's this from?" He asked. Kurt tensed over him.
"I-It's nothing." Kurt mumbled, trying to cover himself. Blaine stopped him quickly.
"Don't lie to me, Kurt." Blaine begged, finally meeting his eyes. "I can tell it's not nothing. You how I got mine... I just want to know wh-"
"I had a hole in my heart when I was born." Kurt interrupted. "When I was 6, I had surgery to fix it. Alright?" Kurt informed him. Blaine dropped his eyes to the scar before leaning up and pressing a feather light kiss to the pale line.
"You're beautiful." Blaine mumbled against the skin there. Kurt squirmed a bit and brought his hands to either side of Blaine's face to move him away from Kurt's chest.
"Thank you, and so are you, now can we get back to what we were doing before?" Kurt asked. Blaine chuckled as he nodded.
"Of course we can, I can never deny you my kisses." Blaine teased. Kurt smirked and leaned in to press his lips hard against Blaine's.
"Good," Kurt mumbled in the kiss, "Let's keep it that way."

Thank God for your iPad, is all I have to say haha
Haha, I take it you liked the chapter? :p I know, I felt so bad about taking so long to update :( I'm glad you liked it though! :)
I'm loving what you ate doing with the story! :D I do have a suggestion, have you ever listened to Be Still - The Fray? I think it would be extremely fitting and be amazingly emotional if it were incorporated into the story at some point. But keep up the great work!! (I've already shamelessly cried like 5 times xD )
Awh thank you! I have not heard that song, but thank you for the recommendation. I am definitely incorporating songs into the story in future chapters so I will try to find a place for that one! :) I'm sorry for making you cry :( I guess I should buy you some tissues! I hope you ienjoy the rest of the story :)
